Emilia listened as her mother yelled from downstairs to get up. It was of course her first day, and of course to add on, she was new to the town. She rushed downstairs to get her some breakfast, dreading to start the day, awkwardly introduce herself to the class, sitting alone because she knows absolutely no one, but the more she thought about it the more her stomach would fill with butterflies. She decided to take her mind off of the day of ahead, but to turn her attention to smelling her mother's sweet, sweet cooking. She'd follow the heavenly scent of her mother's pancakes and eggs. She'd take a seat at the table as her mom set down the plates of food. She turned to see the hideous sight of her little brother wailing how mom added 'too much syurp' even though he said he wanted "half of the bottle."

She watched as her mother sat down the glass of milk, she mumbled a small "thanks."

She looked around for her first period class, trying to say their name,

"Miss.. Uh, Arnot? Arnee? Knee???"

She heard someone clear their throat behind her, she looked behind her to reveal a gir l with bright red hair, and dark brown eyes, the girl's hair would shine as she said, "Ms. Araoij, your new right?"

She nodded, holding out her hand, the redhead shook her hand as her red curls bounced, "Well, I'm Avery, I'll show you around."

She nodded since she didn't really understand anything around here. She didn't even know where the restroom's are let alone Ms. Araoij was. Avery guided Emilia around every corner making sure to tell her all about the school's latest gossip before dropping her off to her first period. Before leaving Emila to the pack of wolves in the classroom, she said with her bright smile "Frogot to ask, what your name? You know, if you want to be friends than I'd need to know."

Emilia nodded her head quickly than said with her bright eye's shining "Emilia! Emilia Nome."

Avery nodded than walked away with a smile still planted on her face, she walked queitly, hoping not to draw too much attention. But the teacher with the short gray hair almost like smoke quickly noticed her and said, "New student? No worries. Sit down, sit down."

Emilia gave a awawkward smile as the teacher said "Give your name, go on."

She gave a deep breath than said "Emilia. But you can call me Emily, if you want of course."

The teacher smiled than nodded than resumed teaching on the board. Emily was paying close attention, while writing down noted but then she felt something sticky get planted into her hair, she reached back and felt what she hoped it wasn't what she thought it was. She felt around the slimy and sticky area in her golden hair and she confirmed, it was gum. She thought, "Why would someone even stick some gum in a new kids hair? She turned back to see a girl with pitch black hair like the night sky when its midnight, the girl smiled, Emily frowned as she raised her hand, the teacher gestured her to talk, "Uh, can I go to the restroom?"

The teacher nodded as Emilia scurried to the restroom as soon as she rushed in she saw a foot stick out and face planted on the floor, and look up only to see a girl with a kind looking face, that only said "Oops, sorry. Didn't see you there."

Emily's eyebrows dipped and got up than dusted off her knees than went to the sink to try to pull out the gum, but it only made it worse. She decided to just tie up her golden hair than make her family cut it out when she got home. She sulked to her class, got her stuff than carried on with her day. The school bell was finally dismissed as she started to head to the parking lot, she ran into Avery, she looked up and said "Oh! Hey, again."

she'd say with her fire-like curls bounced up than flashed her winner smile.

Emilia gave a meek smile and said a small hello back. Than looked for her parents car.
