16 The New Couple

She couldn't sleep that night. She felt couldn't understand what she feels. She is so mad at Carlos for not informing her about where he is or what he is doing. She is angry that he didn't even check on her. She know how she can solve her problem, she just needs to call or send a message to Carlos but she couldn't give in him. Sending a message or calling first would mean that she is admitting about her feelings for him. She never had this feeling before. She liked her ex-girlfriends and she maybe fell in love with some of them, but she never felt angry when they never sent her a message. She actually never cared if they pay attention to her or not.

She was staring at her phone for many hours now, not knowing what to do. She hates herself for feeling like a fool thinking about a someone who is maybe now feeling so relaxed and okay.

"Hello." She finally decided to call Carlos. The man answered the phone immediately with only a short ring.

"Wow! I was about to call you. Is this what they call mental telepathy?" Carlos sounds amused. Alex doesn't know whether he was just teasing her or he is telling the truth.

"How are you?" Alex

"I was busy the whole day. Sorry if I couldn't say goodbye this morning."

"What happened?" Alex is trying to sound casual. She doesn't want him to sense that she is angry at him.

"Beauty is sick. Grandpa didn't tell me that she couldn't eat since yesterday and this morning, they found her in the barn and she almost couldn't stand up so I had to rush coming home."

"Who is Beauty?"

"Ah! She's my horse. I will introduce you to her when you visit."

"You didn't send me a message just because of a horse?!" Alex wasn't able to control herself. Carlos smiled when he heard this.

"Beauty is not just a horse. She was with me since I was young, she is practically a family. How can you be jealous with her?" Carlos couldn't help but smile with the thought of Alex being jealous.

"I'm not jealous. Why would I be?" Alex felt guilty for what she said. She also felt guilty for getting mad at him without knowing the truth. She even had to use Michelle just because she thought Carlos forgot about her.

"Why do you sound so cute?"

"How is she now?" Alex tried to chanve the subject.

"She is better now. We had to bring a vet here and she is now in dextrose. I guess she is already too old. Did you miss me?"

"Miss you? Why would I be?"

"I miss you too." Alex could feel her face getting hotter. Alex heard a sound from her phone and when she looked at it, she could see Carlos' video. He asked her for a video call. "Open your cam, I want to see you," says Carlos.

Alex sat down immediately from her bed and fixed her shirt and her hair. She turned the side lamp on and open her cam.

"You look tired. What did you do today?," Carlos asked.

"Nothing." She couldn't tell him about how stupid she is this day. He should never find out about what she did to Michelle.

"You look sexy. I think just looking at me makes you horny, right?"

"What are you talking about?"

"You can't deny it. I can see your nipples getting hard." Carlos said with a meaningful smile.

Alex realized that she is wearing a thin white shirt and the form of her boobs is too obvious. She took a pillow and put it in front of her to cover her chest.

"Pervert!"

"I'm a man. If a woman does that to me, of course, who am I to reject her?"

"Are you that cheap?"

"Only to you. I miss you. I wish I could sleep beside you again tonight."

"Whatever." Alex has to control her emotions. She also misses him but she is not that confident to admit her feelings.

"I know you miss me too. That's why you called, right?"

"I was just bored and I had no one to talk to so I remember you," she lied.

"I already know you, so you can sto pretending. Do you want me to go there now?"

"Can you really come here?"

"If you want me to."

"But your place is an hour away from here. And it's already 11pm."

"If I leave now, I'll be there after midnight. Then I can come back here early morning again tomorrow."

"You will be tired. You have to take care of Beauty. We can meet next time."

"See? You also missed me. Haha!"

Alex couldn't say a word. She was caught with her own words.

"What do you want to do when we meet?" Carlos asked.

"Anything."

"Do you want to watch a movie with me? Or maybe eat in a restaurant? Or we can go to an arcade or an amusement park? Or we can stay in the hotel again? Or all of the above?" Alex can't stop admiring the man in the video. He was smiling the whole time he was talking and she has to admit that he looks very charming.

"I would like the last one." She finally gave in.

"How about this Friday? Do you have a full schedule?"

"I'm afraid yes. And Friday is still 5 days away from now." Alex said while pouting a little. She could hear Carlos' laughter resounding the room.

"Why are you so cute? I can go there on Thursday then I can stay there till Monday morning. What do you think?"

"I'd like that. Will you stay in my place on Thursday or will I meet you in the hotel?"

"Why do you sound so naughty? I told you I won't touch you til we get married. Please don't seduce me, I might not be able to control myself."

"Don't come here anymore, then."

Carlos laughed again. "We have to promise each other that we won't do anything we would regret, okay? I want our wedding night to be very special, I want to look forward on that night. So, please, don't wear that shirt when we meet, okay?

"Okay." Alex is now smiling. She never knew she has this feminine side of her. She wants to be with Carlos and finds it very sexy when Carlos tells her what and what's not to do. She never imagined herself falling for a man, especially to someone she thought to be so arrogant.

"Are you now my girlfriend?"

"I don't think so, you never asked me to be your gf yet."

"Should I still need to do that? I can already feel that you are head over heels with me."

"Don't be silly."

We now are a couple, right?"

"I will think about it."

"We already kissed many times and we even cuddled on our sleep. That means we are already more than friends."

"Whatever! Just come here on Thursday."

"I love you, honey."

Alex doesn't know what to say. A part of her knows that she likes Carlos a lot but she doesn't know whether she already loves him. She said I love you many times to her exes but she just said it because they want her to say it. At this time, it is different. Being in a relationship with him is something serious.

"I said I love you. You need to reply when your bf tells you how he loves you."

"I love you, too. And yes, I'm now your girlfriend."
