15 ch 8 meeting the tiger again

for the last two weeks, I have been chased by the tiger and its fellow kin . in the beginning I just had a vague sense of being chased. living in the forest you learn to pick that kind of instincts. and in my case it was particularly sensitive.

naturally I began hiding my tracks, hunting less . to be honest I don't need motivation. most of the beasts here operated in teams, not unlike the one that nearly destroyed my right arm. if it not for me absorbing the life force of defeated beings, it would have most likely taken a couple of months to heal .fighting them was the single most humiliating thing that happened to me.

I am going to repay that debt to them someday and by my guesses it should be soon.

after a week, he began to leave presents. they were the beasts in our surroundings, more accurately their corpses.

to be honest, I couldn't be sure if it was the tiger, it was just a feeling of mine. after all, there was no other being that I knew of this in this forest.

anyways those gifts were the main reason that I managed to recover. they made me wary, because if I was a prey then there was no reason for the enemy to strengthen me this was clearly playing with food.

to be honest this was not helping my insomnia. that fear is always there like a worm in my head . this hidden predator was not helping. normally if I could sleep a couple of hours in a couple of days, I could be considered sleeping a lot.

if not for condensing sleep, this amount of sleep was nowhere near enough, but I told you I can't sleep. anyways sleeping too long was also dangerous in this forest.

with me absorbing life-force, I did not need to sleep at all, at least physically. the mental exhaustion was still there. I think I slept for some time yesterday, but I can't tell.

all this not sleeping was affecting my head. my thoughts were becoming sluggish and I seem to hear things now and then. you don't know the number of times I have thrown a blood knife into empty air. that was how paranoid I was becoming. thankfully the forest was more empty in the green zone and I did not need to climb trees constantly, most beasts did not follow me up trees. simply put, up there was my domain. most beasts instinctively realised that and that they would not be able to catch me there, let alone kill me.

to be honest, I really should consider staying up there, after all, it was safer for me but it was very uncomfortable, otherwise I really might end living there. maybe I should call myself the bloody monkey.

nope, I am not naming myself that. I want my name to actually be cool.

anyways I need to activate my blood vison. really, with it, life would be many time harder. I don't want to complain about my sleeplessness, but it is not even allowing me to maintain my state of super memory. the state that was needed by me to create these records was nearly impossible for me to get into nowadays.

maybe the next time that I can enter this state was not going to be any time soon.

( after a couple of days )

I finally met what was hunting me and I was correct, the damnable tiger was the one that was hunting me.

it had come alone, most likely feeling that he could beat me alone.

it looks like I can have my revenge finally. Willing my blood to dissolve my totem into it, the tiger at the Same time was staring at me. he was most likely waiting for me to make the next move. I will finally show him just how powerful I could be if I was serious.

finally, after my spear was formed I jumped into battle. first of all, I used my blood control to speed up the damnable tigers' blood. speeding up blood was actually easier than slowing it down. the only problem is that the enemy becomes faster, stronger and in general, harder to deal with.

the only reason I do that is because of the fact that this burns them out completely. it's kind of like loading a large number of steroids in them.

they show enhanced performance before and their body begins to fail then after a while. I must say though, this does help in making my fight shorter and more explosive. in some rare cases it even tears their blood vessel. the beast would die pretty soon after that

anyway, I charge at the tiger which is clearly expecting me to make a move.

it dodges to the side, As I twist my body to the side. I Pierce with my spear, which almost hits the tiger, though it misses by just an inch. maybe I shouldn't have increased this Tiger physical capabilities after all. the tiger in a split second strikes my back. I fall down but I curl down and roll out of the way after a while, the tiger was beating me. most of my attacks did not touch it, and most of its attack struck me in the most humiliating way possible.

I hate to admit it, but this tiger is one of the strongest beasts I ever met. mainly because If I met something stronger, I won't be speaking with you guys today.

the same thing went on for a while, I couldn't hit him and he could not hurt me. simply put, I was hard and he was fast and for some reason that just sounded wrong.

anyone, our fruitless fighting went for a while, by the end of which I was sure that the surroundings beasts had already reached us and were hiding in the background, waiting for us to kill each other.

the tiger in front of me which was like a falling leaf did not come in my hand only, there were scratches all over my body with quite a few of those strikes being bloody. I had managed to hit the tiger in one of its legs, significantly slowing it down, though it could still be many times faster than me.

the tiger was coming in, to making a move, but this time something was clearly different. I was feeling a sense of threat from the tiger, the cold sweat that filled my back.

I have felt this only once in my entire journey here, now was not the time to think, changing the form of my spear into a chain, I throw a whip towards the nearest tree. I really didn't need to care about his hunting instincts. I was fighting the fucking animal. nothing provoked hunting instinct more than that.

the last thing I felt in the was weightlessness as I lost my consciousness.

( after a couple of days )

me - why are you holding me here, beast.

the tiger could understand me to speak, I am sure of it, and I am sure that it is holding me in this weird cave within these ruins for a very specific reason.

me - speak something mister tiger,

over the course of the last two days, the tiger has been locking in this weird room. it was a cave modified into a room, it at least resembled one. the tiger brought me nothing to eat, but luckily since I have my totem, I don't need to eat as much nowadays. let's hope that the other does not plan to starve me in this place. because it will take me a long time to starve to death.

my prison was completely empty, with not even a place to shit. let's hope I am not spending a long time in the place, because I have a feeling that I will hate it.

(after a couple of days, I am not really sure how long )

the tiger had finally come, it has been a long time since I have seen it. while the room had no kind of opening and made of solid rock, the room lit up with the sun outside.

I have to be thankful for that, because if that light was not there, I would have lost my mind. it was due to my insomnia, more accurately the fear of a monster.

I can almost feel it taking shape in the darkness. no matter how hard I try, sleep and peace of mind were getting harder to find.

while I was thinking all this, the tiger was opening the door to my room, more accurately rolling the stone with which it was blocking the room.

the place I was a ruin, though it was pretty well maintained, to be honest. but most of the walls were broken. I think my place was a more well-maintained room in this place.

finally, the tiger took me into a room, very similar to my prison, I finally understood why I was brought here.

in front of me was a seriously injured toad. they thought that I could heal the toad in front of me. as for how I could tell that, I could feel an encroachment on my artifact. the tiger or the bull had well, tried to hack into it. well, they could try all they like, that weapon has my soul in it.

me - are you saying I must heal it?

I asked pointing at the toad.

the other growled, which I hope meant yes and not ' you are lunch'.

me -if I am to heal him, I will need my spear or my book. I will at least need the gloves you took from me.

the tiger which did seem to understand what I was pointed to a corner of the room, where my weapons were dumped in an unceremonious pile. from the pile I picked up my totem and my gloves. wearing both of them, I look at the tiger and then at the toad.

the toad suffered another attack after mine, and it was by some kind of a poisonous beast. As for how I could, it was from my life force vision. this was some kind of magic poison that had its own life force.

the main damage came from my spear strike, though the poison was the final strike. I could try to heal it, but I was not a doctor. my control would help, though. for now, I think the best thing to do is replace its blood. other than that I could think of nothing else. I could try life force injection, but that was something I could only do for myself, not others.

me - I can help your toad, though to be honest I can't do a lot. I will try whatever little I can do, but I need some kind of a guarantee that you will not harm me in any way.

I could be making a fool out of myself, but the tiger could understand me, I was sure of that.

the tiger looked at me for a few seconds, as if not understanding what I was saying. then it began to walk away. as for me, I sat in front of the toad, checking out its blood vessels. it was clearly completely different from mine.

the way blood flowed in its body was clearly different from mine.

blood transfusion could not happen in this world, every person's blood was different, not like earth where it could be divided into four groups. anyways, I am an exception. with my blood control, I could change the nature of blood.

so I could use the blood in my armor to replace the blood of the poisoned toad. anything other than that and I might kill the beast. I am not a doctor, that too for beasts.

let's hope the tiger understands that. I was in it's fort, mostly likely some ancient outpost of the black wind empire. I naturally find it hard to believe that the dragon outpost was the only outpost the empire had. this kind of places don't last long.
