15 The Search
Alliyah held the old man tightly as he bleeds from the deadly wound due to the shot of arrow.

Despite the availability of the blood source for Alliyah to feed on, she decided to refuse in feeding unto the person that showed kindness to her.

Instead, Alliyah looked around for the bandits who caused for the old man's death.
There were 3 masked men, fast approaching towards her direction.
Then Alliyah finally decided that she feed on to those heartless bandits. She thought that those bandits took life as if it was nothing for their taking.
It reminded her about the terror she experienced back in the Caragua Island.
The field was so vast. Alliyah could see the stretch of the vastness of the field with only her, the lifeless old man and the fast approaching bandits.

Alliyah wants to quench her thirst now.

Alliyah's eyes became blood shot red and veins popped out around her temples.
At the view of Alliyah's frightening presence, the fast approaching bandits suddenly stopped on their tracks and decided to shoot arrows at her and the others prepared their knives and daggers to stab her.
But Alliyah became quick and fast on her feet.
Their attempts were useless and pointless.
The bandits realize that they are not facing a mere human but someone they consider as a monster.
A vampire on the loose.
Dangerous …
Lethal …
Angry …
Most especially,
Thirsty …
Only scream was the only thing they could do.
A scream for help.
"AAAAAHHHH ~~" screamed by the bandits altogether.
The first bandit fell on his knees as Alliyah fed on him mercilessly.
The other two ran and left their companion. But Alliyah did not finish her feeding.
Instead, she took the arrow and aimed at the back of the other bandit. She successfully took out her target.
And then she chased for the other desperate escaping bandit.
Unfortunately for the last surviving bandit, Alliyah was too fast and she was able to catch him effortlessly.
Alliyah lunged at him and savagely fed on him.

After Alliyah's feeding, she gathered all the corpse and buried them all in one spot.
Due to Alliyah's super strength, it was easy for her to dig and bury the corpse she fed on.
Then she buried the old man separately and prepared a respectable simple tombstone.
Alliyah started to ride and took control of the donkey. She decided to follow the road and expected to reach the nearest destination. She took the pants the clothes of the other bandit whose clothes was not messed up by the blood.
Her look has completely hidden any hint of her bloody self. Alliyah even took the cowboy hat of one of the dead bandits to keep her gaze low or hidden to restrain herself from any unnecessary suspicion from others.
Since she emits such presence, Alliyah tries her best to camouflage herself with normal clothes which will show that she is a local or a resident around the place since the clothes has specific cultural embroidery on the sides.
It will hide the fact that she is a foreign or stranger of the place.
One of the things that Alliyah realized after feeding on the bandits, is that if she wants to keep a low profile and not getting any attention which may risk her true identity as a vampire. Then, she must blend in like a normal townsfolk or citizen.
Any unnecessary suspicion may lead for a hunt or worse her extermination since she is already inside the territory of the human kingdom. Thus, she must act and look normal as possible without getting suspected.
"Hiyaaa ~~!" whipping the donkey while holding the harness controlling the donkey.
The search for Areej has begun for Alliyah.

In the Vampire Kingdom, King Avalon gathered all his children in front of the high elders and elite vampires.

King Avalon gathered everyone in his royal court.
Each member of the audience in the royal court of King Avalon is waiting with such anticipation to what their king is about to announce.
"I gathered everyone for an important announcement.
It has been a long time since I had no partner in this high throne of mine. I think it is time for me to search for a partner that will help me in my reign over the lands that I rule over.
Despite the war that we are currently in,
Starting today, I command my children to present me the best candidate to be my queen. The High Elders have already presented their candidates each, as their counsel for this search.
Now, for my children, if the candidate you present will become my chosen partner.
The reward will be the formal officiating as my heir to the throne. In other words, whoever wins amongst my children will be declared as the crowned heir to my throne.
But if the candidate from the High Elders get chosen, then the winning High Elder will be able to choose who amongst my children be crowned as the next heir to my throne.
You have one year to accomplish this task to present me." Announced by King Avalon to everyone.
Gasp of amusement and different reactions are taking over the audience in the royal court of King Avalon.
Each High Elder has become ambitious with their scheme to be on a higher political power.
Having to choose who amongst the royal siblings will become the heir to the throne will signify magnanimous favor for the winning High Elder.
The two vampire prince looked at each other which shows their rivalry towards each other. A competition to the throne. Both prince assumes that their eldest sister will not be interested in winning at all.
But what everyone does not know, Princess Sylvia has her own scheme in mind.
While Princess Sylvia looks at their father with a devious look in her eyes, the scheme started reeling in her mind.
'I will find the best candidate to be your queen and together, your queen and I will take over this wretched kingdom of yours. Oh, dear father of mine!' silently thought by Princess Sylvia in her mind.
