"Allie- I was so scared. When I woke up a while ago, you were still not around so I tried to check on you but when I stood a while ago and tried to move, I tripped on that big root!"

Areej explaining to Alliyah.

Alliyah could feel extreme thirst which making her unbelievably desperate to quench the thirst. Her senses were going haywire.

The scent of the coppery blood from the wound of Areej was even making it all worst. Alliyah's sight starts to go blurry and red flashes started appearing in her vision.

A portion of the skin of Areej from her shoulder had fixated Alliyah. Then, she hugs Areej back tightly while looking at her nape.

Droplets of sweat flowing down from the nape of Areej. A smooth flawless fair skin of the nape of Areej kept enticing Alliyah to try taking a bite on. Alliyah starts rubbing a portion of the nape of Areej and she could feel the moisty, smooth, and soft part which making her thirst worst.

"Allie- are you okay? You feel so cold." expressed by Areej with so much concern.

Then, Areej lets go of Alliyah. She looks at her with so much worry and started to touch Alliyah's cold face. After the soft pinches and touching on Alliyah's face, a new curiosity entered in Areej's mind.

"You look so pale Allie-. Plus, the color of your eyes Allie! It changed. When did your eyes start to change Allie? I prefer your hazel green eyes Allie." innocently asked by Areej.

Alliyah immediately close her eyes and shook her head. She does her best distracting herself from the thirst that keeps on bothering her. She tried thinking of a way to distance herself from Areej for a while.

Even just for a few minutes or worst an hour so she could gather her senses and find out what is this new sensation of extreme thirst which she desperately needs to quench. Her vision is even making weird flashes of red fogs.

A mixed combination of sounds is starting to annoy and take Alliyah a bit more uncomfortable.

It made her decide to finally relocate Areej somewhere where she could not see the pile of corpse hanging and lying around, scattered and lifeless.

A completely sickening sight, especially for a child like Areej.

Alliyah is completely sure that once Areej sees the dead bodies around. It will haunt Areej in her entire life.

There is too much death around and Alliyah wants to preserve and protect whatever innocence left in Areej.

This is something that no child can forget. A sight full of lifeless body and the stench that it brings will haunt Areej in her entire life.

"Areej remember the cave that we were usually told not to enter because it is sometimes dark. Do you still remember?" Alliyah trying to ask Areej.

"Yes, I do but why are we going there? What if the bad guys are hiding there?" Areej fearfully pointed out to Alliyah

Alliyah knows for sure that vampires do not stay after their pillaging.

It was known all over the world that vampires move places to places. One of the many facts that Alliyah knows about vampires is that they need to keep moving to find new places to terrorize and feed on.

Before she got deeper to her thoughts, she decided to bring Areej to their spot, in the cave.

"Can we go to the cliff instead, Allie? I am scared to go there 'coz maybe the bad guys are hiding there." Areej refuses Alliyah.

Alliyah gave in and agreed with Areej's request.

Since Alliyah was also in a hurry to separate Areej from her.

Alliyah and Areej held hands as they go to the cliff.

Caragua Island's weather was at high noon. The sunlight around the island is so bright and humid.

The vision of Alliyah gets more blurry and she is getting weaker by the second.

"Allie-? Are you ok?" worriedly asked by Areej.

Areej could see how pale Alliyah has become, Alliyah's lips getting drier and her red curly hair are weirdly disheveled.

"I am okay, Areej! As long as you are here with me, I am more than okay!

Remember, you are my only little sister and I do not know what will happen to me if I lose you.

You are my little angel brought down from heaven!" explained by Alliyah.

Areej giggled in glee. She loves it the most when Alliyah praises or compliments her.

Along the way to the cliff, there are bountiful trees, bushes, flowers, and different kinds of plants which makes the path a bit covered and they had to use sticks to clear a path for them.

As soon as they reached the cliff, the view was magnificently beautiful. It is located at the far back of the island.

The view that a person could see from the cliff is breath-taking. A view of the vast clear blue ocean which glistens like a diamond from the ray of sun, the pretty clear sky which shines bright and blue all at once. Alliyah wondered if others have seen the serenity of the clouds that sailed by which gently passes on toward any place the wind wishes them to reach.

An uninterrupted blue that stretches seamlessly across the field of vision of anyone that sees it.

Feet firmly planted on the ground while Areej looks up at the defiant sky, which makes everything seems lighter.

"I forgot how breathtakingly beautiful it is to be here and just to be alive." whispered by Alliyah while Areej started to squat on the grassy ground on the cliff.

"Why are we staying here for a while, Allie?" Areej asked Alliyah curiously.

"I have to look for food and make sure that the bad guys are gone."

"Is it dangerous for you to go on your own?" Areej airs her concern and worry for Alliyah.

"Do not worry! I will be careful, I will check if where the others went and I will return okay? Please stay put and just hide from the boulder and be quiet, okay?" Alliyah instructed Areej.

"Okay! Please hurry Allie-! Will you?" asked by Areej while pouting.

"Of course, I will!"

Alliyah smiled at Areej before she left her on her own so she can check what happened to the others or if there are any survivors at all.

While Alliyah walks a bit farther, her vision is violently flashing red blurry fog.

"What is happening to me? Did I lose too much blood and I am hallucinating?"

Alliyah is getting confused and then a memory of the horrifying night kept flashing in her mind.

Then realization came into Alliyah's mind. She kept thinking of how is she still alive and she was supposed to be dead.

A healthy hare suddenly hopped in plain sight of Alliyah.
