2 That Night of Tragedy

"Everyone, hurry get out of the building! Where are you? The fire is spreading fast, we need to evacuate now, or else we are going to die."

Adam is shouting as hard as he can while trying hard to make his sight clear because of the black smoke surrounding everywhere.

He continue to climb up to the third floor, and run to the long corridor to reach the room of the orphans. When he reach the door, he try to open it but it can't be opened, it looks like a big thing is blocking the door inside. He tried his best but it really can't be opened.

"Please, somebody, open the door! We need to evacuate, the orphanage was on fire. Why does everyone is not responding? Hurry Up, lets go outside."

Adam started to cry as he bang the door.

"OPEN THE DOOR. Please"

His hands started to get wounded as he continue to bang the door many times, he feel it was hopeless, but he is still praying that everyone is safe, he knelt in front of the door and started to cry more.

"Please God, help them, save them."

He looked around and saw that the fire is spreading too fast, he knows that the whole building will be swallowed by the fire and burn it into ash in just an hour.

"This is hopeless" He closed his eyes and he ready himself for his coming death.

Adam hold his breath and waited to the fire that is approaching to reach him and burn him alive because he know that this is inescapable, when he is ready to die a hand hold him and lift him up, when he look at the person who lift him, he saw a Nun.

When he saw the Nun, he was given a slight glimpse of hope.

"Sister Regina? Please help everyone, I think they are traped inside the room, I can't open it, it feels like something is blocking the door, my strength is weak so that I can't push it, maybe you can make it."

Regina stare, nodded at him and frown.

"Adam lets go first, you need to get out of the building, I will come back here to rescue everyone, but first I will get you out."

Adam nodded and follow the Nun, They run as fast as they could to get out of the building. When they reach the exit they went to a safe area where the fire cannot reach.

"Adam, stay here, I will go back inside, I will check if there is someone still alive, I also want them to be safe, wait for me here."

Adam nodded, he was still crying, he don't know what to do, he know that he can't do anything in this kind of situation but just to pray for the safety of everyone.

"Please god, please help my brothers and sisters, please make them safe, and also Sister Regina and the other Nuns, please, they are the only family I left, I don't know what to do if there is something happened to them."

Adam close his eyes as he pray deep in his heart, he wants to make himself believe that everyone is going to be fine. but....

"BANG!"

A sudden explosion occur in the third floor of the building, Adam is shocked of what happen.

"I hope they are safe, I hope they are safe, I hope they are safe."

As he pray more, he saw a man running to were he was.

"Adam, where are the other children? The Nuns, Regina, where are they.?"

As Adam saw the man, his cry get louder and louder.

"Sir Sergei, They are all inside the building, including Sister Regina, I don't know if everyone is still alright, please help them Sir Sergei."

Adam kneel in front of Sergei and hug his legs begging.

"Don't worry, I will go there and save everyone, stay here, and dont go near to the building."

Sergei lift Adam and hug him tight,

"Everything is going to be fine, don't worry. Here, take this bag, In case that I can't come back, all of the things inside of this bag is all yours. I will be back my son."

Sergei hugs Adam for the last time and went inside of the burning orphanage.

Crying Adam wait for an hour but no one is going outside of the burning building.

As he waits for about two hours,

"BANG! BANG! BANG!"

Three consecutive explosion happens, Adam knows that this is done, he believes that no one survived except him, he also knows that Sergei also perished on the burning building. He cry for the last time, but this cry is soundless, This cry is for everyone died on that fire, and for him.

"Please God, let everyone that died in this orphanage be with you in heaven, let them have a peaceful and happy life in heaven. I will always pray for them, wherever they are."

After he pray, he stared at the burning building in front of him. At that moment he heard sirens wailing, he knows that authorities starting to come to put out the fire in the orphanage.

"Why did this happen to us? To the orphanage? To everyone? Why? All of them are good people, they didn't deserve to die in that way. That orphanage help childrens like us, they treat us like there own children, they love us like there own family, why? I don't know what are the reasons, but I know that it is unfair for them."

Adam looked at the sky and shout.

"THEY DIDN'T DESERVE IT! THEY DIDN'T DESERVE IT! THEY DIDN'T DESERVE IT!"

Adam stand up and walk, he walk like he has no destination, he was blank and looking at nowhere.

Adam remember that Sergei gave him a bag so he get the bag behind him and open it. When he look at the objects inside the bag, he saw lots of moneys, jewelries and golds.

"Where did Sir Sergei get this items, nah, it doesn't matter, he told me that, this are all mine now, so I will keep it, I will use it to improve myself, I will study and work hard for everyone who died tonight. I will make all of my brothers and sisters dreams do come true. I will use it in good way for Sir Sergei and Sister Regina, who save my life."

He again look at that sky and shout for the last time.

"Brothers, Sisters dont worry, I will do my best to become a good person. Madams, thank you for raising me to become a good person. Sister Regina, thank you for saving my life, Sir Sergei, thank you."

He close his eyes and the last tears flow from his eyes.

Adam open his eyes, and look around, he saw himself lying in bed with wounds covered of black gooey liquid, he tried to lift his hands but he can't, he remember, he was already reincarnated.

"Sigh... Why did I dream that Nightmare, THAT NIGHT OF TRAGEDY".
