1 The Wild Ride

'Lesson is finally ending... oh my god'

Saimon is a university student that absolutely hates anything related to school and his most liked hobby is to literally count seconds left to a bell.

"Saimon, can you clean the board?"

"Of course!"

But outwardly he is a model student known to be the best in the university he is attending. His teachers often praise him as the most talented person they ever taught and has a perfect score on almost every test. He is diligent, praise-worthy student and Saimon hates it with all his heart but...

'We live in a God forsaken society...'

Saimon finally left university and took a bus ride back home. After coming back from school, he has a perfectly established routine to follow: eat some fast food and take a nap instantly after.

Saimon woke up after four hours and was actually motivated to study for the first time in probably a decade and why is that? The final exam is in a week and that means his hell would soon be over. He quickly sat on his chair, opened a textbook and started to study for the exam. His motivation to study perished almost instantly but nevertheless he held on and studied till the late hour. After finishing his food Saimon, went to bed hoping he will not wake up tomorrow.

'No, I just need to survive one week and then it's finally over...'

Saimon reassured himself and quickly fell asleep tired of studying all day.

The day of the exam soon came.

Saimon dressed elegantly for the occasion. He was so happy to write the exam it could be almost classified as madness. The people seeing his happy face mistook it as simple confidence but for Saimon it was almost like being released from prison where he spent most of his life...

'Ah finally, finally, finally'

"Good luck Saimon!"

The math teacher who taught him all this time in the university disturbed his chain of happy thoughts and wished him good luck. Saimon was instantly reminded of his boring classes and was brought back from his happy place.

"Thank you but I won't need it"

The teacher mistook it as pure confidence and actually felt proud of his student. Saimon on the other hand was holding back his sarcastic desire as much as he could and simply moved to his designated desk.

"Haha, I like your confidence!"

Saimon ignored the happy teacher and waited for the exam to start...

Saimon, after writing the exam, was so happy that he decided to walk back home instead of taking a bus like he usually does. He envisioned all the boring things he won't be doing anymore and was humming while crossing the road...

'Aghh... why is everything so white now? And most importantly why does my spine hurt like It was f*cked by a horse?'

Saimon once again was brought back from his happy place by a bizarre situation he found himself in.

'The last thing I remember was crossing the road... am I dead? One time I didn't wish to be hit by a truck while crossing the road and I got hit...'

"No, it's too early to speculate"

Saimon regained some sense in his mind and started to look around only to notice back of a being that could only be described as God.

'And here I was an atheist...'

Saimon approached the heavenly being with a sarcastic thought.

"Um... hello?"

"Ah yes what do y...? Wait what! Who are you and why are you here!?"

Saimon had only question marks in his mind but apparently God was also in a comparable confusion to his and seemed startled. After a minute of awkward and confusing silence Saimon finally spoke.

"I am Saimon and I... I think I died?"

"Hmm... Is it a bug?"

Saimon was once again thrown into confusion.

'A bug? Like a game or something?'

"The life system ought to have no exceptions and bugs yet here you are..."

The God seemed seriously disappointed.

"Let's first check how you died to determine the problem"

God declared in an unnaturally confident voice but Saimon was tired of confusion.

"No! Wait! First things first. Who are you and why am I here?"

God seemed interested and amused by his behavior and decided to answer.

"I am Demiurge, God of Systems, currently in charge of managing your world and the reason you are here is umm... well..."

Demiurge seemed a bit embarrassed but continued after a second.

"My life system that I created most probably experienced an error and send you here as an exception..."

Saimon was honestly dumbfounded.

'God of Systems? Demiurge? Never heard of him... and I am an exception of an error?'

Demiurge seeing Saimon's confusion simply continued speaking.

"Well then... In order to determine what went wrong we need to check how you died and I am sure you are also curious"

Demiurge said so and soon large screen appeared out of nowhere and started displaying the scene Saimon was familiar with.

'Yes, I am starting to cross the road yes... and are those horses!?'

"Who let the horses out in the middle of a city!?"

"What are those horses doing!?"

"I am probably already dead but what are they doing!?"

"NO! NO! Is that my spine coming out!?"

Demiurge turned off the large screen that was displaying Saimon's death while Saimon collapsed onto the floor and started crying...

After an hour or so of crying Saimon finally calmed down. He looked at the God with dead eyes and asked a simple question.

"Why?"

Demiurge looked at Saimon with pitiful eyes and started to slowly explain.

"Usually, my system makes sure situations like these don't happen but somehow you weren't registered in the system and when you died unexpectedly it caused an error... and to die like that as well..."

Demiurge also seemed shocked of how things turned out and Saimon felt like committing suicide but that was impossible since he was already dead. The only option he had was Demiurge...

"So... what now?"

Demiurge seemed to have fallen in thought but after a minute he nodded and it appeared he decided on something.

"Have you ever watched an isekai anime?"

"What now? I don't watch that cr..."

Saimon, unfortunately didn't get a chance to finish his sentence in time...
