In the era where the victorian era occurs, Lily works as a maid to her master but within a few months, she is thrown out for not working properly.
"idiots!" Lily curses the house, spits on the head butler, and walks to the gate.
"Why did God send me here, and especially as a maid?" Lily stormed off the streets of Bamburgh.
You see, she is a reincarnated woman in Japan in her forties, unmarried and without children, she is the Manager of one of Japan's largest companies and is well respected, but she doesn't care about worldly things like falling in love but hookups or one night stands. She only cared about work, and work was her drug; after celebrating her most important project, she got into an accident while drunk and killed herself on the construction site.
When she was in heaven, she was given a new chance to redo her life and enjoy the world, and the god sent her back to her body, but instead of saving her life, she deceived the god by attempting to return to her project and this time died by a stroke. So God punished her by reincarnating her as a young 18-year-old girl named Lily Montefiore, who is now forced to work as a maid because she is the daughter of a maid. This isn't her first job as a maid; in fact, it's her ninth. She was always removed from the house of lords because she did not want to work as a maid but was forced to do so by her mother. This is because she wishes to pursue a different path, such as starting a business or teaching illiterate children about education, as her previous uncle did.
While traveling to her hometown, her mother, a retired head maid of Hibiris and now works as a teacher who teaches girls how to serve their masters. She is loved by her students who study with her and have graduated and served their masters and are top maids of Britain.
"Oh!.. Ms. Montefiore, how lucky are we to have our girls as your teacher," said a mother of a maid who is now serving the Queen of Scotland
"Oh, it's nothing, a maid's duty is to be perfect and loyal, I just have taught them how to be respected, it's their job to follow my instructions and be the best maid in the country," said Ms. Montefiore.
As the parents were giving compliments, one of them questioned' "How is your daughter? By now, she may have been hired by the royal palace now"
"oh she still works for the lord of Pearson but soon"
Just as they were complimenting, Lily comes behind." Mother I'm back". There was silence. Before she could utter a word, her mother dragged her and ran to the house.
"Wait Mother !" said Lily. But as her mother closed the door, she locked the door and came near the daughter and pulled her ear.
"ow.... Mother, it's hurting" said Lily
"You deserve it you stupid little girl, how many times have you been thrown out," said Mrs. Montefiore.
"They didn't like me so they removed," said lily going to the kitchen
The mother sits at the table and sighs, " why can't you be like me or your sister, she is just two years younger than you and she now serves the duchess's daughter, and you still can't stay in one job and always end up been thrown out"
"What can I say, Maid work doesn't work for me," said Lily "it's not in my blood and it's not my fault, it's God's fault for not handing me a good job. I'm always getting less paid" said
"What should I do," said mother
While Lily lazes around her folks and spends the night at her ex-lover, her mother is upset, she suddenly gets an idea and rushes to the town hall
The next day, as the sun started to rise from the east, Lily wakes up and gets a backache. She tries to wake up but she sees that her ex-lover is holding her and sleeping peacefully. She spends the night with him cause they both though broke up, still remained as friends and got drunk last night.
She sighed helplessly and began to push away the man's arm. Unfortunately,the man was tough and had a good grip.
"Ar...What did the parents give him that he grew to be a rhinoceros? ". She bit his arm and got off the bed. She did some stretches, bent over, and picked up the clothes which scattered on the ground.
"Ah!" She gave a short exclamation and was dragged back to the bed by a force. All her efforts came to nothing.
" Let's date again," said the man
"No, Thank you, I prefer to be single, if I date, it'll be a distraction for me," said Lily. The man kisses her hand as a sign of gratitude.
She turned back angrily, she started hitting him. So hateful, could not beat over this handsome face.
"It's still early, why don't you sleep a little more?" said the man. She didn't respond. She bit the arm and got up.
"It looks like you are in good spirits." Said the man
"It's cause I'm free again from work," said Lily
"What a lazy girl you are" chuckled the man. While hitting him, she heard her mother outside.
"How did you find me," said Lily
"Edward said to me that you will be spending the night with him," said, mother.
"Curse you," said lily to the man who waves her back
"What do you want ?" questioned Lily
" I got you a job at the House of Morrison" her mother said
"What, why?" said Lily, " I don't want to.."
" Please I'm begging you, please for your mother, I'm retired and weak in heart, do you want your mother to die," said mother
Seeing her mother, she thought of her previous life's aunt and uncle, who looked after her, feel as if they were in her presence, "uh... fine," Lily said, "but if I quit, please don't send me another recommendation."
"Oh, !.. don't worry you will not get a working maid but as a maid to the Duke," said mother
So after heavy considerations, She traveled to the Duke's mansion which was situated in London.
After reaching, she comes to the gate of the house of Morrison and sees a man neatly dressed. The man sees her and orders one of the maids to call her
"What do I have the pleasure," said the man
"um.. I was recruited here by my mother" said Lily
"oh, it's Montefiore's daughter," said the head maid, "She's been assigned as a maid for this house"
"I see, well then I see you are a day early, nevermind, head maid please show Miss Montefiore her room and also show her the house and duties," said Lord Morrison " well then, its a pleasure of meeting you, see me tomorrow morning at my study" and walks away.
As the maid escorts her to the house, Lily thinks that she has got a pain in the head and plans to quit as soon as possible before it's too late.
