84 Dressed To Impress

After wondering what his life had led him to, the door shutting snapped him out of his thoughts.

"Brother," Connor called, walking towards him ever-so-calmly.

James turned around to see his brother dressed up fancily. 

"What happened, and why are you dressed like that?" James asked. 

Connor shook his head slightly.

James got the message, 'Don't ask.' 

James nodded, taking the hint and choosing to keep quiet. 

Wanting to make things less awkward between the two of them, Connor cleared his throat. 

"Well, how did Emma's surprise go, Lily told me all about it," Connor inquired curiously. 

This was one of the first times Emma had surprised her boyfriend, and this would certainly not be the last. 

James was honest with his answer, obviously, as he grinned. 

"I loved it, just as much as I love her," he answered as he sighed dreamily. 

He was star-struck; until Connor had broken some news to him.
