Chapter 14 Falla the Blacksmith

(Morgan Agathias)

Assessing the situation, not wanting to take rash actions. Professor Lupine is a very meticulous person and not easily beaten. His understanding is intimately familiar with the opponent's movements. I played along, letting the nine of them attack Professor Lupine with all their might, I stayed where I was. Arrows and bows at the ready. Their attacks were useless, Professor Lupine just dodged the attacks, occasionally releasing balls of bright blue lightning. It wasn't that difficult, they should be able to attack Professor Lupine. But the man was very shrewd and able to judge opponents very well.

A magic spirit aura enveloped Professor Lupine's body, it was very fast and not easy for my friends to fight Professor Lupine. Lyra was very fast, and delivered precise punches, but only shattered the ground, not one bit hitting Professor Lupine. What's more, David and his friends, were in a lot of trouble, aligning their attacks. David doesn't understand the meaning of the name cooperating, he's just busy with himself, leaving his friends in trouble.

I consider the three of them only used as subordinates, there is no cooperation as teammates. No wonder. They wouldn't be able to defeat Professor Lupine in that way, even if they asked us to attack together, Professor Lupine's words were still vivid in my head. He would force us to use our full power, leaving us exhausted and defeated. Supposedly, on the contrary, we should save strength by working together.

Lyra. Helen and the young man named Gray seemed to understand Professor Lupine's intentions. The three of them in a short time could work well together, even though I didn't know Gray that well. They reduce the risk of fatigue and expend so much strength. Lyra attacks and Helen defends herself, as well as when Helen attacks and Lyra defends herself, and so on to show a pattern of fighting that doesn't drain the strength of the spirit. Meanwhile, the black-haired boy in the pigtails, Gray avoided more attacks.

On the other hand, the rhythm of the two girls' fights was perfectly balanced, in contrast to David and his friends who already looked chaotic. David still had time to order his three friends to be a shield for himself. The lightning balls spun to form a tornado ball lightning vortex, throwing David's body into the air, but not making him seriously injured. Only minor injuries.

Understanding the situation, and reading the opponent's movements, with the help of Lyra and Helen, I was able to read Professor Lupine's attack patterns in no time. If I detonate the lightning balls protecting Professor Lupine, what will happen?

My arrows flew fast, Lyra opened my attack path and was irritated with David wanting to destroy the plans I had made. The braided-haired girl kicked David in the ribs, the guy was knocked back. Curses were thrown at Lyra. Professor Lupine stretched his hand forward, keeping my arrow in the air. But that's not my intention.

A sly smile grew on my lips. The loud explosion caused a puff of black smoke to envelop the man's body. Helen and Lyra had their chance to attack Professor Lupine in a puff of black smoke. A golden glow was visible behind the black smoke, someone came out from behind the black smoke that was starting to erode. Professor Lupine looked desperate, crossed his arms, got into a stance, and made a lightning shield as a defense. However, no more chances. Lyra's small hands clenched tightly, her fists cracking and shattering the lightning shield. Professor Lupine dodged Lyra's death blow, getting as far away as possible.

"Enough."

We're back in line. Lyra, Helen, and I gave each other high fives for our success. David was very annoyed, looking at the three of us with hostility. I didn't care about that weirdo, letting his friends become shields to protect himself. How cowardly. I just said nothing, but David was like a man burning with anger, grabbing my collar just like that. Helen was shocked and Lyra cursed at the man.

"You're wrong, Why should you blame others? Shrimp brain!" Lyra was different from the girls in general, being polite and not using swear words. But, I shouldn't be surprised by Lyra's character which is inversely proportional to her cute face. Lyra grabbed David's wrist, forcibly releasing David's hand that was gripping my collar.

Looks like there will be a second fight. The glow of their eyeballs emits a blaze of fire, looking intently at each other. Professor Lupine had no intention of separating Lyra and David, the man just sighed softly. As strict as Professor Lupine is with his students, if they are they are very difficult to manage properly.

I appreciated Lyra wanting to stick up for me but I didn't want her to get hurt. But, unfortunately, I couldn't stop the girl who was overcome with anger. The two of them were overcome with anger. They threw punches at each other. David feels that he has an advantage because his body is a little big, his strength is at level 11, which makes David very annoyed. Lyra was small but make no mistake. Indeed, a girl with braided hair is small and cute but holds great power that makes men unable to underestimate women.

David was in the sky, the battle in his favor made Lyra only able to survive the barrage of attacks sent by David.

"Lyra will be okay right?" Helen was worried about her new friend but I convinced myself that Lyra was not a weak girl to be a burden. She is a strong and tough girl. It was proven by Lyra being able to turn things around, making the battle situation take her side.

Another heavy blow to David's ribs, the pain that had not yet recovered from the first punch, now intensified. Even sicker. I coughed normally, controlling the situation, because honestly, I wanted to laugh with satisfaction. David was once again dealt the death blow.

"That's enough! You two, come over here." Professor Lupine's voice was high and firm, causing the two of them to stop the fight.

Lyra looks happy and walks the ring towards me, her smile makes my blush just appear. I turned my face the other way, neutralizing my beating heart that was beating very fast. David limped along, his piercing gaze fixed on us, but I didn't care.

"You guys don't understand at all and you guys are just busy thinking in your heads how to attack me. Not one of you even thought of looking for another way." David certainly didn't accept it, he stomped his feet on the ground like a child. Never mind Professor Lupine at length to explain, he was stubborn after all.

Professor Lupine handed each of us a medium-sized crystal ball. The essence of how we can know which primary element we have is the two powers combined. Magic power and spirit power merged, forming a vortex that flows throughout the body, I can feel the power flowing throughout my body. The crystal balls in my palm glowed, revealing a multicolored glow. The entire crystal ball radiated different colors. There is a red color representing the fire elemental, a blue color representing the water elemental, a green color representing the wind elemental, and a white color representing the lightning elemental.

Between myself and the others, I have five primary elements. Lyra only had two elementals but could have multiple elemental attributes. David and his friends only have one main element. The man snorted, looking hateful at me. He doesn't like being beaten by anyone, because right now I'm in awe of myself. Just for a while, I started to get sidetracked by someone which made the others even more shocked. Helen has five primary elements, just like me. Although his spirit magic power has now increased by one level, it is at level 2. The practice just now was good enough to raise the spirit magic power level.

Helen is great and I think she has great talent. If Helen continued to train her magic spirit power, maybe one day she would become a great female mage. I couldn't possibly be jealous and resentful, someone was stepping in front of me. Seeing Lyra and Helen have their talents, I don't want to be left behind by my two best friends. As his only male friend, I'm the one who should protect those two girls.

But right now I feel so bored. After finishing a bowl of turkey broth, take a walk around the village of the South Valley. I can't go hunting in the forest, there are still two noble clan leaders who still feel at home in the Valley of the Hills district. It's like being locked in your cage, unable to get out freely like before. Father continued to hunt, but the procedures and permits were getting more difficult. It took an hour before Father was allowed to hunt in the Ankila forest, and even then cameras were installed in every corner of the fence.

All I did was walk around the Hob looking for someone I wanted to meet. Falla, an old blacksmith. Big man, with hair and a beard that looks gray. But, that old Falla was still very passionate about forging hot iron with his prided hammer.

"Hey, want to find something interesting?" Old Falla called me. His brown eyes could see me from behind the crowd without the slightest mistake, I approached the old man who was seriously hitting the hot iron.

Old Falla knew just what I wanted to find. My arrows are all made of the most different stones from the others. It's not that I'm channeling magic power into my weapon, indeed my weapon is magic, made of materials that have magic powers. I'm used to Falla's blacksmith shop, the old man is a master at forging iron into something very powerful. Unfortunately, his greatness was wasted by the Kingdom of Andalus. A great person like him doesn't deserve to be treated like this. Falla used to live in the upper region, in the city of Calista. He was expelled from the capital because of a mistake he never made until he ended up being banished to an underdeveloped area and settled in the Valley of the Hills district.

However, in the Valley of the Hills district, he is highly valued and few people want to buy his finely crafted goods. Not wanting to make the royal government suspect that he was trading back here, Falla set up his shop in the Hob. A very famous black market in the Valley of the Hills district. This time the Hob didn't seem so crowded, the entrance was closed, and there was only one access door which was behind the fence, and that was also heavily guarded by thugs. Not wanting this Hob to become known to the two noble clans of the kingdom who were currently visiting the Valley of the Hills district.

"Unfortunately my money has been taken by them. I'm just here to have a look," I said flatly.

"Jeez, what's going on?" The old Falla was shocked, even dropping the hammer that he used to forge iron. He approached me, but I ignored him and chose to see what the old man was doing. As if he didn't get an answer, old Falla kept pushing me, following me here and there, I still ignored him. Old Falla finally gave up, not bothering me anymore. "Morgan, your resemblance to your father is fifty percent. When you were little, you were very pleasant and friendly. Now you do look like your father." His smile was wry but I kept my cool and looked at the items in front of my eyes.
