He looked again at me and giggled. Then he went to the door after patting the heads of the little squirrels.

"Don't let her go away, children," he said and winked. However, that is not the way to treat a pair of schemers. Not when their master is me.

I had to complain, "I will not leave for thirty golds."

He turned to look at me with a laugh in his mouth and shook his head.

"Darling, if you don't leave, I will give everything I possess, including me."
