30 The Tamer Tournament

Everybody started at this new form of his, Safer Nibiru. He actually looked... semi-human. Half of his upper body, including his entire face, was that of a human. The other half was nothing even close. A large wing, with a Draconic looking arm, and chest.

He started to float into the air, while making sure he didn't break any thing or any one. The power in this form was extremely powerful. It was like a power multiplier.

"Hey, Nibiru, what are you doing?", Navre asks, wondering what just happened. She had to look up quite the amount, for Nibiru was now about 60 meters tall.

"I'm testing out one of the transformations. This one said it was made specially for me. I feel even more powerful than I was before, but I will turn back now."

He turns back into his Over Heaven form, going back to his height of 12' 10". "I like that transformation. I think I might use it a bit. Now, let's wait for the students to get back, so we can start the tournament."

They waited around, talking about their abilities, especially Nibiru's, when the children started to walk into the arena, holding their weapons, or tools. Some came in holding swords, or bows. Some held books, or some held scientific tools. Surprisingly, nobody held a gun, which would have basically guaranteed their win in the physical category.

There were a mixture of first and second years, but that didn't matter. He planned to make their strength equal in the fight, so all it would come down to would be skill.

He gathered everybody in their categories, some going into a section for battling, another for abilities, one for an intelligence test, one for tamers, which were more abundant than one would think, and another for science.

"Alright, we are going to start with the most interesting category, at least in my opinion. The Tamers. For this little test, I'm giving an extra reward. The winner of this test will be given a special ability by me. Full Monster Tamer. Most of you can only tame animals that are meant to be tamed, with a few exceptions. This ability will let you tame monsters of my summoning, sharing ownership."

The tamer group started to jump up and down. Everybody wanted to be powerful, and this would be the quickest way.

Nibiru got all of the tamers to stand up on the platform, each with their most impressive summon. Some people brought aggressive dogs. Others brought snakes. One person even brought a tiger. All of these were impressive, but there was one person who stood out. A snake charmer, who was making their snake move, not with words, but with finger and eye movements. They were able to make it do complicated things, like making it flip on the spot, or stand up, using the very bottom of its tail to keep balance.

After about five minutes, Nibiru got everybody to stop. He then announced the winner, after about two minutes of deliberation, with Krystian agreeing on the matter of the snake charmer.

"After some deliberation, me and Krystian have decided on the winner. The winner is this snake charmer right here!". He then points his hand towards the snake charmer mentioned, who stood up, while everybody clapped, disappointed that they didn't win, but glad for him.

"What is your name, Tamer?". The child then answers. "My name is Mark. Mark Arrow. I am a first year, 16 years old."

"Well Mark, you are now the holder of the ability 'Full Monster Tamer'. Let me give you your first monster, so you can train with it, and gain its trust. It will never disobey your orders, so you can train with it all you want."

Nibiru then opened up his 'Summon' menu, opened up the 'Secret Menu', and went down to the 'Monster' section. He scrolled down the menu, looking for a suitable first monster. He found one monster that would work. The Basilisk.

He summoned it, and a portal opened on the floor, and a large snake appeared from the ground. It was a turquoise snake, reaching twenty feet in height, and it had blood red eyes.

"Now, try to command the Basilisk, Mark. It will obey you, for I have set it so that it will obey you, and me."

Mark was reasonably afraid, but he mustered up the courage to speak. "Lie down, Basilisk."

"I obey you, master", and with that, the Basilisk lay down, surprising everyone with its ability to speak.

"Woah. It can speak!", Mark yelled. "Of course I can speak", the Basilisk said. "I am an advanced being, above the minds of a regular animal. Do not expect unintelligible noises from me."

Mark looked at him, and then Nibiru, with a smile plastered to his face. "This is amazing, Nibiru. How did you do this?"

Nibiru just smirks back. "A little ability of mine, Mark. Also, you get a wish of your own when the competition is over, so the good times aren't over yet."

The others started to get excited at this, seeing this huge snake, being tamed by a human with just a single ability. Nibiru then announced the next event.

"Alright, we are going to start on the next advent. The fighting tournament, with a special condition. Everybody will have their power equalised, so it comes down to a test of skill. It will be a battle royale style match. Last one standing."

"There is also another special prize for this event. A special weapon, stronger than any seen before. Not even used by the teachers. A special type of weapon. The Over Heaven weapon."

Everybody was curious as to what this 'Over Heaven' weapon was.

"An Over Heaven weapon is strong enough to break the fabric of reality itself. I will be the limiter, but it can always be increased in power. This is what it means to have an Over Heaven weapon."

This scared everybody there. Not out of fear, but of awe. A reality breaker? That's too strong, but it has a limiter, so that would help.

Everybody in the fighting tournament stood up on the same platform that the tamers had, and pulled out their weapons. Some had bows, some had swords, and others held blunt objects, like a shotput.

They all scattered around the platform, prepared to fight. Nibiru just yelled out something.

"Don't be afraid to brutally injure anyone. I will heal you all after the test!"

And with that, the fighting tournament had started. A free for all, consisting of lots of children.

This would be fun to watch.
