6 The Plea for Help

Nibiru simply went and sat back down in the bed, and pulled out a book, and started reading it. He read for about 5 minutes, while Layla and Michael crouched over Sibrius, observing him. While they were doing that, Sibrius kept trying to wriggle out of his thread binding, but was unable to, due to its amazing strength.

The system then alerted Nibiru. "Communications Pending. [Human: Leo Sibrius] wishes to verbally communicate with [Demon: Nibiru]. Do you wish to release the thread bindings preventing [Human: Leo Sibrius] from speaking?"

This is when Nibiru looked from his book, yawned, and walked over to Sibrius, crouching between the other two. He then, in a very condescending tone of voice, said the words, "So, you wish to speak with me? Very well, but under one condition. If you scream, you will die. Those are the conditions that I placed on Michael, and are the ones I will place on you." Nibiru then released the strings tying themselves around Sibrius' mouth.

The first thing Sibrius did was breathe through his mouth, before getting up, shaking himself, and walking up to Nibiru, or Shawn. He grabbed his shoulder, with his head down, looking at his feet. "Why do you exist? To mock us? To mock the existance of humans? To prove something? Tell me, please. I don't want to be in the dark. Not like back then..."

Sibrius broke down into tears, reliving what might have been the most traumatic experience of his past. And he could remember it all. Every. Little. Detail.

Nibiru was genuinely feeling sorry for the poor man. He didn't know what to do in this situation. Luckily, his system helped him out with this.

"Incoming Request: Plea for Help. Complete this plea for help, and you will unlock new parts of the system."

[Plea for Help: 0/1 completed.]

Nibiru looks at both Michael and Layla, asking them the question. "Do you want to help me help Sibrius?"

Michael jumped off the bed, saying "Well, we have nothing better to do. Plus, we might learn more about him."

Layla however, just shook her head, while whispering "No thank you. I have seen, and felt, too much today". Then, she faints. Like Michael did.

Nibiru grabs onto Michael's hand, and he walks himself and Michael over to Sibrius, where he places Michael's hand on Sibrius' forehead, and suddenly, it felt as if up was down, left was right, nothing the way it was meant to. The blurred shapes that were around suddenly turned into people, although they never met them before.

This place. It was Foulksmills, 22 years ago, and crime raged in the streets.

When Michael and Nibiru arrived in Foulksmills, all they could see were people using guns and abilities, all for the purpose of trying to get money. They would make drugs, sell drugs, kill people, sell their stuff, among other things. Although it wasn't a nice sight, it was the only way to live.

People were injecting drugs like heroine into their veins, some were smoking weed, while others were sniffing cocaine. All the money they made went to waste doing this, but to them, it wasn't a waste. It was a way to feel happy, and calm. It was quite pitiful to see all these people, running around, gathering money, only to blow it on drugs.

Nibiru and Michael walked North, where the quest had revealed they needed to go. They walked North, until they found a not that old building, where slaps could be heard inside. Soon after the slaps, they heard a child crying, followed by more slaps. Nibiru, for one of the first times in his life, he felt sad for someone. Not even he would hit a child, then hit them again if they cried from the pain. That's just wrong, even for him.

He opened the door, using a special spell to hide any noise him and his friends made. He walked into the house, and looked into what appeared to be a sitting room. There, he saw a hairy fat man beating up an 8 year old child, while his little brother, a child of 6 years of age, cowered in fear behind them. The man was yelling obscene things, but the main thing that was repeated over and over again was "I pay for this place, therefore it's mine. I am your one way ticket from being in a home, to homeless. You little rats are nothing without me! NOTHING!"

Something then snaps in the 8 year old child's mind, and he activated his ability. A transformation ability. He turned into a large, black dragon, but had the physique of an 8 year old. This was the special ability, 'Devil Trigger'. An ability that only activates without the users consent when they are in immense pain.

Using Devil Trigger will cause a multiplication in all stats by 5 for three minutes. The Devil Child punched the father in his oversized belly, and he went flying into the wall, right beside his Glock-19. The Glock-19 fell into his hand, and the father pointed it at the devil child, and began to pull the trigger.

The system gave him the notification that he has been waiting for. "Save this child, and the quest shall be completed."

This was all the incentive Nibiru needed to take action. He rushed in there, lifted out his palm, and caught the bullet in-between his fingers. He then through the bullet back at the gun, destroying it. Nibiru then disabled his sound canceller, turned to the children, and asked them the question, "Do you want this man dead?" The children nodded their heads up and down, signifying that they wanted him gone.

Nibiru walked over to the abusive father, and for the first time on earth, killed someone. He achieved this by literally snapping the neck of the father from side to side, making a loud cracking noise. The children stood there in shock, not understanding what just happened.

"Quest Completed: Plea for Help [1/1]"

[Reward: Crafting Menu]

Nibiru and Michael walked away from the house, after saying goodbye to the children living there, and walked back to the village of Foulksmills. By some luck, nobody was out in the streets, firing guns. They walked over to where they first arrived, the centre of the crossroads, two roads crossing with eachother.

Nibiru looked up into the sky, and said the words "Time Magic: Return to Original". The sudden feeling of everything going in reverse arrived on them once more, and suddenly, they were back in the room, with Sibrius on the ground, convulsing, screaming things like "IT HURTS!" and "WHICH MEMORIES ARE REAL!?". It was a painful sight to see, but being on the receiving end of it must be worse.

In Sibrius' mind, the memories caused him pain, because he couldn't find out which ones were real, and which ones were interfered with. Some memories were being corrupted, or ripped infront of him, causing him immense pain, as his mind itself felt like it was being ripped apart, piece by piece.

Nibiru only found this out when his system showed him Sibrius' status.

[Health: 10/30]

[Afflictions: Time Travel Mind Distortion]

[Time Travel Mind Distortion: A side effect of helping someone too much when you go back in time, causing them to have their memories ripped or corrupted, causing extreme pain.]

[Current Chance of Death: 60%]

Nibiru genuinely didn't know about this affliction, so he didn't know that this would happen, but he instantly understood its meaning now. If Nibiru didn't help Sibrius, he would die. Nibiru didn't want the teacher to die, for he seemed like a well-instructed fighter. Sibrius might be able to help Michael and Layla learn combat techniques.

Nibiru walked over to Sibrius, and used the spell "Time Magic: Stasis". This caused the entire universe to stop for however long Nibiru needed. He placed his hand on Sibrius' head, and peered into his memories. It was a complete mess. Memories being ripped, corrupted, and transformed. Such a painful process.

Nibiru used one other piece of magic. "Mind Magic: Manual Selection". This allowed Nibiru to directly choose which memories to keep, so he chose ones relating to Sibrius' past, that night where he interfered, and then, he had to do something about his brother, for he now hasn't died. All of his memories become inhabited by himself and his brother, so he remembers who he is.

Nibiru then exits Sibrius' mind, and turns off the stasis spell. Time stats to resume around him, and everyone is wondering why Sibrius stopped convulsing. They thought he was dead. Sibrius then slowly started to open his eyes, and looked over at Nibiru.

"So it was you who saved me that day, huh. Thank you. Really, thank you". Sibrius then starts breaking into tears, unable to express his gratitude towards Nibiru for saving his brother that day. Nibiru didn't know how to react to this sudden change in emotion, so he just stood there awkwardly.

Then the door to the room opened, and a man named Nidas Sibrius walked in, seeing his brother crying.
