Yagoo's POV

"My lord! I just got a message regarding the unusual monster horde from the castle walls." Gazing up front, a soldier entered the room and saluted. I nodded back and motioned him to continue.

"Apparently, a Chimera Bufchin appeared among the horde, along with some various Ground Wyverns and Crawling Drakes. The monster horde also appeared to have an estimate of at least a thousand in numbers sir!" I creased my eyebrows in alarm. This isn't normal as most monster horde that attacked the city usually only numbers in hundreds.

"Post a mission on the adventurers guild, we must stop this horde at all cost! As for the Chimera Bufchin, please call Ame- I mean Ms. Watson, we will need her help in this one." I ordered sternly and stood up from my seat.

"Uhm sir. Permission to continue?" I was confused at that and looked at him hurriedly.

"The horde was already dealt with. While the Ground Wyverns and Crawling Drakes were wiped out as well. As for the Chimera Bufchin, it's been turned into fine paste sir!" I blinked in surprise and disbelief. I can hear some of my personal guards stiffen in surprise as well.

"Did Ms. Watson take action personally?" The soldier, for one second hesitated, before shaking his head in a firm no.

'Eh? But I don't remember anyone other than Amelia, has enough capability to deal with Chimera Bufchin in my city, let alone kill it or make it into fine paste.  I know that Amelia can defeat it, but turning it into fine paste? Something is not right here." I thought to myself.

"Let's go to the walls and take a look, while we are at it, tell me more about the situation." I motioned to the soldier and my personal guards.

"Yes sir! Apparently the ones who defeated the drakes and wyvern is a acquaintance of Ms. Watson, the same goes for the person who turned the Chimera to a fine paste. The person who defeated the wyverns and drakes while simultaneously weakening the horde was named, Usada Pekora." I shivered at that, just the name Usada already gave me a ominous premonition, and when the soldier said 'Pekora', I blanched in horror.

'What the hell is that crazy rabbit princess doing all the way out here?! I must evacuate the city! Anything that is related to the Pekoland Kingdom is trouble! But, maybe they just have the same name? Yes, that must be it!' I thought and sweated internally as I remember the feats of the Usada Family back then. Blowing up the Demon Lord's castle just because it looked unsightly, trolling the Atlanteans just because they heard of a rumor that they are allergic to shrimps, and even plucking the Phoenix feathers from the Takanashi Royalty for the sake of putting it on their collection! Every single emperor and empress of Pekoland is crazy in their own right!

"As for the person who turned the Chimera Bufchin into fine paste..." The soldier clenched his fist for some reason and I got suspicious.

"What's wrong with that person?" I questioned and we started climbing the stairs towards the top of the walls.

"His name is Fumuyoshi Enma, apparently he is a magician, we just don't know what branch he specializes in. He is certainly strange, because while they are approaching the wyverns and drakes, he actually dared to throw Pekora-san towards the middle of them all! The nerve of that bastard! That is not how you treat a lady!" I deadpanned at him at his ridiculous remark, I'm pretty sure my guards did so as well. I waved my hand and dismissed him as I caught sight of a familiar brown hat.

"Amelia!" I called out and she seemed to snap out of her daze and look towards me.

"Ah! Uncle Yagoo! You just came right in time!" She waved happily and motioned me to come over. To me, Watson is like my grand daughter, as I was one of the few people who took care of her while she grew up.

"I heard of what happened but would you mind filling me in with more detailed and unbiased information?" She looked at the retreating soldier in amusement, clearly knowing what he might have said.

"Sure! Look over there, the blue and white pigtailed girl there is Pekora. She was the one who dealt with a great blow to the horde, and wiping out all of the drakes and wyverns. While beside her, the white haired one holding a grimoire is Enma. He on the other hand, dealt with the most troublesome force amongst the horde, the Chimera Bufchin. The fact is he fought it with ease, he even had the free time to toy with it. Those two were the ones that personally dealt with the troublesome elements of the monster horde." I looked over to where she pointed and saw the two people she was talking about.

I immediately confirmed that Pekora is the princess of Pekoland the moment I saw the oversized carrot in the shape of a greatsword in front of her and promptly shivered. Plus the blue and white mix of hair confirmed it even more. Taking away my gaze from her, I examined the person who personally dealt with the Chimera Bufchin. At first glance it seemed like a strong gust of wind will blow him away, due to how lean and lithe his built is. But the moment I delve deeper using magicka, I was shocked through the core. This is my first time seeing someone with so much magicka in their body that it gave me an illusion of gazing at a whole universe. I'm also appalled on how the heck this boy haven't exploded yet with that much magicka concentration.

"Wait, the soldier earlier said that his name is Fumuyoshi Enma right?" I hurriedly asked Amelia and she looked at me confusedly.

"Well yeah, is there something wrong with his name?" I turned my gaze back to the boy and watch him laugh cheerfully with Pekora.

'So he is the last survivor huh? No wonder he has a lot of magicka reserves. The famous Fumuyoshi Clan, the clan that has the ability to manipulate magicka at will and without repercussions. Heh, without repercussions my ass. To think that there is still a remnant of them left.' I sighed in pity, after all. The Fumuyoshi Clan was once at the top of the power tree of HoloEarth. The ability to manipulate magicka essence at will is something that the people of HoloEarth cannot resist nor live with. They were basically viewed as Mortal Gods back then. But it is also due to that ability, that depraved of them of their freedom to live. I still remember what my old friend said before dying.

~Flashback brought to you by Chibi Yagoo and Chibi Amelia drinking tea and playing chess~

"Old friend, let me tell you something about my clan. To the people outside of our clan, our ability Uchu Maho no Karada  or as you like to call it, Uchu no Maho, seems like a powerful blessing and something to be proud of. But to us, that ability- no. That curse, is something we are not proud of. We might be able to control magicka essence at will but that comes with a cost. The mother God of HoloEarth is a very petty being. She gave us this ability, but in the process, took away our freedom." I looked at him and saw regret, anger, and defeat in his eyes as he spoke.

"She gave us the ability just so that she can use us to reign in the people of this world. That's why some of our members are cold blooded killers. They were being controlled and manipulated by that cursed Goddess, just so that she can shape the world as she sees fit." He stopped and coughed horribly, spewing little amounts of blood as he gazed at the skies.

"But then, he was born. The first ever Fumuyoshi to ever be free of the curse granted by the Goddess. We hid him away from the people of HoloEarth, and hid him away from Her." At that he smiled, eyes full of melancholy as his breath become shallower by the minute.

"She found out in the end. In return, here lies the ruins of my beloved clan. But, at the very least. He is safe, the future of our clan. I'm sure you will meet him in the future, he stands out like a sore thumb you see. That pale white skin and hair of his is very recognizable. When you do, old friend. Tell him this for me. 'Live your life to the fullest, don't let hatred and revenge shackle you down. It is our own doing as to why the clan fell. Our ancestors were greedy of power, and we suffered from it. You, on the other hand, don't. As such, cherish your life and be free...' I silently watch as he close his eyes and settle a peaceful smile on his face.

"Farewell, Yoshiro, my old friend." I carried his body and took him to the courtyard of the Fumuyoshi compound. There, I laid him down, amongst his friends, families, and kin.

~ Flashback end brought to you by Chibi Yagoo drinking tea and looking out to the sunset~

"Nothing, just an old man remembering something from the past. Now, let's go and meet up with those two. A thanks is in order, after all, they did for the most part, single-handedly dealt with the monster horde." Amelia nodded in agreement right beside me, and we both jumped down from the towering walls of my city. Ignoring the indignant shouts and yells of concerns from the surrounding soldiers.

"But you're not old Uncle Yagoo, just enlightened" My eyebrow ticked as Amelia remarked while we drop down.

Enma's POV

I chuckled to myself as Pekora goes on and on, describing her fight to me. Then I felt a strong presence approaching, making me tense. But then I felt Amelia's presence beside it and relaxed a bit.

"Hold that for now Pekora, we got some company." Pinching her cheeks to make her stop, Pekora glared at me. I let go and chuckled at the red tint on her cheeks.

Turning around, I saw a middle aged man walking towards us. He was dressed in a typical noble clothes and linen that made me narrow my eyes. But stopped when I saw the Ranked 8 Magician Badge plastered on his chest.

"Enma! Pekora! Why didn't you tell me that you two were that strong‽ You made me worry for nothing!" Amelia barreled towards us, intent on at least shaking or grabbing one of us. Being as mischievous as she is, Pekora decided to hide behind me. To which I smirked and teleported away, resulting to Amelia latching to Pekora and shaking her much to her chagrin.

"As amusing as this is, an introduction is in order I suppose?" I nodded in agreement and turned my attention to the one who spoke.

"Its my honor to meet such a powerful young magician, my name is Motoaki Tanigo, also known as Yagoo. I'm the mayor of this city and I like to thank you for helping us deal with this troublesome monster horde young man." I blink rapidly as the name 'Yagoo' seems familiar.

"Ah! The Earth Sage! I didn't think that I'll meet someone of your caliber, and please, let's stop the formalities. I hate those kinds of talks." To think that, the most powerful Earth Magician lords over this city is something surprising.

"Hahaha! I see. I also did not expect to meet the last remnant of an old clan." I flinched at that and stared at his eyes. Looking for any type of malicious intent, only to find none.

'Either he is good at hiding them, or he really doesn't think that way. It's better to be alert.' I thought as we shook hands.

"And sadly, I have to meet with the Princess of Pekoland. I just hope she doesn't deal too much damage in my city." Yagoo lamented silently and I couldn't help but chuckle at that. After all, the royal family of Usada is notorious for their knack of blowing things out of proportions.

"Oi geezer! I heard that! I'm not that bad okay‽" Outright laughing at Pekora's outburst, plus Yagoo's sweating face, and Amelia's gremlin laughter, I couldn't help so.

I then sensed another presence approaching, and it was a bit more familiar for some reason.

Looking at it from the corner of my eyes, I saw it was the pretty royal knight lady from the Asacoco Diner.

"Yagoo-sama, we had finished the  tally of the total numbers of monsters and casualties this time around." Yagoo's demeanor seemed to change after hearing her voice.

"Um, thank you for your help Hoshimachi-san." Ah, so she is from family of Royal Guards of Eldefein. I wonder how the kingdom is doing nowadays, last I remember they fighting a war with the rogue elves from Yggdelemantia.

"Ah, I supposed its better we head straight towards my place in order to discuss more. After all, we are in the middle of the battlefield." I nodded in agreement and glanced towards Pekora and Amelia who are discussing various things, that sounds gibberish in my ears. Then at Hoshimachi who was busy fiddling with her huge golden axe. One thought crossed my mind right there and then.

'Woman are so hard to understand.',
