1 It begins

2020 March 10th, the day it all began to change. Fully functioning VR was created and people began to experience true other worlds. As years went by one company emerged as the dominant force in VR gaming, surpassing every country in terms of both wealth and influence. They built all the game pods, all the games and owned all the infrastructure for the Internet. Sahara Inc. Named after a desert, as a reference to Amazon by a millionaire playboy turned game developer known only as 'The Man', Sahara made many games to appeal to different markets of people which ranged from exploration style space games to historical reenactment simulators. There was a game for everyone, and billions of people flocked to play them, recognising the potential in these games immediately upon release.

The first batch of pods was sold within 2 hours of pre-ordering despite over 200 million pods being available. As the VR scene developed, the dominance of Sahara only continued up until the day when they launched their master piece: Magic Realms Unlimited. A game so hyped than everyone knew about it, almost 80% of pod owners purchased the game before release, and finally on the 1st of June 2030 just over 10 years after the first VR game, it went live to servers across the globe.
