"Oh I see." I said as I bit down on a juicy rabbit leg "now where should I put my points? Thumbs what do you think?"
Thumbs was already finished with his rabbit. "Do whatever you want. But just to warn you magic here is not always trustworthy, if the mad god don't like you, he will make your magic fail. And it's hard to get enough mana by yourself to cast spells."
"Hmm, thanks I'm just going to become an allrounder warrior."

Thumbs was watching over my shoulder to see where I put my points. " why did you you put one into charisma?" Thumbs asked.
"Because we might need it to get along with the village up ahead."
We were walking in the direction that the mad god said civilization was in. We walked till around noon before a small village came into view. It was a lot smaller than expected,
"don't cry me, don't cry. At least it's people, no more animals, soft beds."
"Stop complaining, you were fine." Thumbs said to me.
As we got closer to the village, the first one to see us were a couple farmers. I raised my hand and waved.
"HE'S GOT A WOLF, RUN, GET THE GUARD!" The farmers started to sprint deeper into town.
I turned towards thumbs. "Bro' what did your kind do to make them so scared?"
He looked at me with sarcasm deeply etched on his face "I don't know, a couple years ago we destroyed a couple small country's that tried to wipe us out. Oh and it might be because our alpha was one of the strongest being on the planet."
My mouth was hanging wide open while staring at him "You couldn't have told me that before?"
He looked at me and smiled showing all his teeth but I could feel the sadistic meaning behind it, this bastard done it on purpose.
Then thumbs said " well it doesn't really matter after I became your companion, I'm no longer part of that pack, I'm in yours."
Thumbs I didn't know he thought like this.
A few minutes after the farmers left a medieval looking knight came running up to us. "STOP. I shall not let You enter any farther into this village."
I held up my hands "woah. Woah easy now. We're not here to fight, and you don't need to worry about this guy." I patted thumbs head "he's docile." As I was patting his head thumbs bit down on my hand. what crappy timing thumbs.
"I swear we wont do anything we just want to stay at an inn, or even a shed would be okay."
The man still seemed wary especially after thumbs bit me. "Fine but if that beast does anything I will put both you and it down."
I felt something happen beside me, I looked over and saw thumbs standing on his hind legs. His eyes were white and the air around him seemed blood red. "Thumbs, stop that's enough. Turn off intimidation." I said to him in his head.
Thumbs got back down on all fours. I looked ahead and saw the man was standing still I couldn't see the knights face but I knew he was scared.
"Sorry, sorry he responds to any kind of bloodlust that way."
The man seemed to come back to his senses. Then he said in a slightly higher voice than before "Come with me, it's not up to me whether you can stay in this town."
The armored man twisted around and started walking away "what a charming" village thumbs said to me.
We followed the man around the outskirts of the village until we got to a small shack with the sounds of metal clanging together.
We walked around back of the house till we came to see a man with a black, mixed with white beard, balding on the top. Wearing an apron and a bandana hammering away a peach of orange steel. This is something I would never forget, the sparks were flying everywhere making it seem as if the steel itself was alive. I knew I wanted to learn to do this I want to bring the steel alive.
