26 The Alpha title (1)

"So what's it going to be?, your choice." Adrian asked with a smile of mischief etched on his masculine face earning a chuckle from both Liam and Leonard, Jeremy stood rooted gazing at Adrian with a bored expression already knowing how this was going to end.

Leon with a lopsided smirk walked proudly towards adrain gazing piercingly at him, the pack members present sensing the tensed hostility Leon emitted were about to launch viciously at him when Adrian spoke firmly

"Do not attack!" he ordered before turning his gaze back to Leon who stood a few steps away from him.

"Submit to you?, is that supposed to be a joke or an insult Adrian?." he asked tilting his head awkwardly sideways

"Then owe me a favour it is." Adrian said returning Leon's piercing gaze with his own intensity.

"I have something better in mind." Leon spoke which earned a furrowed brow from adrain

"And what is that?."he asked in perplexation

"How about I challenge you for your alpha title, we all know the absolute law of the lycan world, if someone challenges an alpha for his title the alpha is expected, no obligated to accept." he spoke daintily.

Liam hearing his utterances felt his brain momentarily shut down from shock before turning to Jeremy who had a casual look like he had expected this outcome.

"You knew of this? why wasn't I told." Liam spoke in a whisper to Jeremy who simply shrugged his shoulders

"I wasn't told but I expected it, Leon isn't one to submit or owe anyone favours, so it was obvious the reason he accepted his invitation was to challenge adrain for his alpha title, my guess is if...no when he defeats adrain he would use the pack to secretly protect evelyn since he can't do it himself to avoid suspicions." he spoke intelligently earning a look of admiration from Liam who gazed at him in awe, as expected from Jeremy he thought.

"oh and also make us submit ourselves to be a member of his pack." Jeremy added with a chuckle

"What the fuck?!" Liam lashed out in shock "he wouldn't dare,we are his friends not pack members"

"Oh come on Liam," Jeremy said turning his gaze at his annoyed friends "next year we are all going to turn eighteen, by then we must choose a pack to belong to, wouldn't it be better to choose Leon's pack?, heck he even has the high chance of defeating his brother and becoming an alpha to the biggest pack in lycan history."

"if he doesn't ends up dead first." Liam deadpanned.

"Have some faith will ya?, if he does ends up succeeding the Donovan pack, and decides to annex Adrian's pack with his, we would automatically become members of the world largest and most powerful pack, our families and families to come would be secured for life, the benefits and profits are endless , I don't know about you Liam but it's a risk I'm willing to take."

Liam giving a deep thought into his intelligent friend's words couldn't help but agree with him, the benefits outweighs the cons, the Donovan pack was simply the dream pack for all Lycanthropes as it was the largest and most powerful in lycan history, belonging and being a close friend to the leader of the pack well was 'beneficial'.

"Fine" Liam said letting out a deep sigh "And what if he ends up dead?." he asked making Jeremy chuckle out loud in humour

"Then it is what it is, we probably would be killed off too." he said nonchalantly with a shrug winking at Liam

"And you are still willing to take that risk?." he asked

"A hundred percent.....as I said the benefit outweighs the loss, if everything works out as planned then we are set for life and after life, if it doesn't the worst that could happen is death...which I'm not scared of, it's inevitable everyone and everything eventually dies, it makes no difference if it comes sooner than expected, infact on the contrary it's quite peaceful" he said with a smile lost in a daze, almost as if day dreaming of his 'peaceful' death.

"Jeez Jeremy, you so fucking wired, fucking suicidal maniac, remind me how we met again?." Liam teased

"Through your mother silly, how could you forget your own step dad?." he teased with a mocking smile earning a glare from Liam.

"Keep my mom's name out your fucking mouth" Liam cursed out making the brown haired boy chuckle out in humour.

"Are you challenging me Leonard?." Adrain asked in a menacing tone glaring hard at Leonard, he had earlier invited Leon for his own benefit, knowing how dangerous it was for Leonard in a school such as st Donavan where most of the students belonged to his brothers pack, the red moon pack which would be annexed with Donovan's pack after he becomes the next alpha, he presumed Leonard would be in need of some assistance with protection which he would happily give in exchange for a favour which he intended to cash on if Leonard did end up the next alpha of the Donavan pack, he already doubted Leon would submit to him knowing how proud and arrogant the second son of Richard Donavan was, the last thing he had expected was Leon turning his selfish schemes all around for his own wicked benefits.

"Yes adrain I'm challenging you for the alpha title....you CANNOT reject, not in the presence of your pack members." he spoke coldly making Adrian furrow his brows as his eyes darted around his members of his pack present and as expected they all had an expression of agreement with Leon's word, he couldn't possibly reject, he was an alpha and must oblige to his duty.

"Very well Leon I accept your challenge, however on two conditions."

"Make it ten i don't care, let's just get it over with already." he spoke impatiently

"Always so quick to violence, your reputation truly precedes you." adrain said with a chuckle

"The first condition is that you obviously wouldn't make use of any magic during the fight, our fight must be strictly based on our lycan abilities."

"Agreed next." Leonard said waving his hands

"You will owe and submit to me If i win" adrain said firmly

"I love the fact that you used the term 'if you win' almost like you aren't certain of victory." Leon taunted

"I'm not foolish Leon, I have heard how powerful you are, you are not someone to be taken lightly....."

"But you are, so it would be better if you'd surrender now and spare me a pointless battle that has a certain outcome..My victory."
