Remembering these traumatic events she felt her consciousness about her surroundings slipping away as she was slowly going into a state of shock with her heartbeat increasing drastically and soon after finding it difficult to breathe as she could be seen panting for air.

"Umm Leon something's wrong," Liam said with a frown noticing Evelyn panting heavily and without a second wasted Leon immediately scooped her up in his arms as he dashed for the school's clinic with Liam and Jeremy trailing behind him in fast steps.

Along the school hallway, students gazed with curiosity etched on their faces seeing Leonard carrying a girl most hadn't seen before princess style with quick steps however Leonard blatantly ignored their stares as all he could think about was his mate's safety.

He quickened his steps with his heartbeat rising drastically, due to his rough and torturous upbringing Leonard had developed a cold-hearted monster persona however it didn't mean he didn't love his mate, he loved her beyond words, he had loved her the moment her deep alluring blue eyes gazed at him innocently in the bus, the moment his cold dead eyes locked with hers he felt alive, he felt light at the end of the tunnel.

He felt she was the recompense for all the suffering he had endured up till now, When he first saw her, it's was as if space and time became the finest point imaginable as if time collapses into one speck and explodes at light speed. It was as if his universe began and ends with hers, his cold heart could run forever, search forever, but in the end, every path leads right back to her, his Evelyn.

He had earlier been the one to tell Liam to ask her to join them in the back seat and he had completely lost it when he found another male flirting with his mate, Leonard was not a romantic man as he had never loved anyone but her, the only way he knew how to express himself up until now was violence.

"No! no! please stop, please stop." He furrowed his brows hearing Evelyn's sudden bone-chilling scream "Please I won't do it again, GET AWAY FROM ME!....GET AWAY FROM ME" she screamed out loud before falling unconscious.

"she's having hallucinations," Jeremy said to Leon which he nodded, getting to the clinic he pushed down the doors forcefully with his foot startling the red-haired lady sitting leisurely on a chair reading with her legs crossed on top of the desk.

"Scarlett where's miss Joanne?." Liam asked impatiently, Scarlett ignoring his question trailed her sights towards the girl gripped firmly between Leonard's arms, she remembered the girl vividly making her frown in annoyance, it was the same girl at the campfire.

"What happened to her?." she asked Leon who carefully dropped her on the bed

"Check her," he ordered coldly, Scarlett realizing he wasn't in the mood for questions like always walked briskly towards her to check on her, getting close to Evelyn she found the girl already unconscious, checking her pulse and vitals then her temperature she could already discern what had caused her seizure.

"She had a panic attack, she will be fine with enough rest and medications which I'm sure she takes daily," she replied nonchalantly

"Check again." he ordered firmly making Scarlett frown even deeper, she couldn't help shake the feeling that her once lover was showing way too much interest and concern for the white-haired girl, she could only conclude one reason why a cold-hearted boy like him could suddenly feel concerned towards a girl if the girl was his 'destined mate'.
