3 The bullies and a girl who farts(2)
Everyone scrunched their nose at the fetid smell that exuded from the poor girl. Connor's friends took some steps away to get some fresh air. While Connor was still standing close to her, one hand was holding his nose and the other was lifting the tray.
From his gaze, he was obviously mocking her and was only waiting till the smell died down. Maisie bit her lower lip as she looked around, everyone was staring at her disgustingly, some of them had run away from the cafeteria already. Truth be told, the smell was very dangerous for their health!
Xav walked to meet her, "Are you alright?" He inquired. Apart from him and Liam who were used to it, Isolde and Danica were also used to it. And they didn't bother to cover their nose, for fear of hurting her feelings. They were the only ones that were her friends in this mighty school.
Maisie shook her head, water gathering in her eyes as she looked around, in extreme humiliation. It was hard to see people deserting her, all because of this stupid curse of hers!
Xav saw this and patted her back. He turned to Connor who was just getting relieved from the environmental violation.
"Hey, do you think it's funny?" He sharply inquired, standing an inch close to the guy with his head high.
Connor dropped the plate to the side, he tilted his head as he reiterated. "Hey? Do you have any idea who you're referring to?" He replied with the same vigor. He started pushing Xav's shoulder.
Xav clicked his tongue as he retaliated back by punching him on the nose, the latter's head flew back due to the impact. He groaned angrily as he dropped back his head, his hand frantically going to touch the liquid that was dripping down his nose. It was blood, this bastard!
He charged at Xav and they continued to fight, the other boys went to join them, beating Xav altogether.
Liam whose reputation in the school was good as worse also joined in the fight.
Mr. Fisher might even need to travel abroad to see his father because of his case.
"Please stop" Maisie begged as she went forward to separate them, but everyone was dealing ruthlessly with one another.
They hardly listened to her and yanked their arms away from her hold, each person concentrating fully on his opponent.
When she saw that this wasn't working, she joined in the fight too. By going after Connor because he was the one who offended her, maybe hurting him would cause him to stop fighting with Xav and pay attention to her.
She went forward to drag him by his shirt, she pulled him back with great force and used her leg to smack him down from behind, where he tumbled on the ground.
Xav was fuming by the side as he watched how Maisie came to stop the lunatic from tearing him apart with his long nails.
This school wasn't doing a proper job when it came to checking students' nails.
Connor's nails were like a rake, and if Xav hadn't been careful enough, he would have sustained too many injuries.
On the other hand, Connor's eyes widened when he felt himself tumbling on the ground. He knelt on the ground with one knee and cracked his neck, "I'll fucking kill you bitch" He cursed out, he stood up, his gaze directed at her as he took his steps but Maisie didn't go back, she stood fearlessly. He was the one who caused trouble at first! Justice must be served for people like her.
However, as he went after her, he heard the piercing sound of the microphone. He turned to the side to see a teacher standing, It was Mrs. Lee. The school's counselor, shook her head as she watched them behind the glasses that settled upon the bridge of her nose.
"All of you" She signaled at the school's rebellious gangs. "Follow me" She ordered while taking the first lead.
Connor looked at Maisie who was already going with a wicked sneer, he clicked his tongue as he inserted his hand to tuck in his shirt at the back, and also tagged along with them.
At the counselor's office, the six of them were seated on their seats while facing the counselor who had a rod in her hand, her gaze went from the first person sitting on the chair on the left to the right.
She inquired, "Did your parents send you to fight in school?"
They all shook their head. "Then why are you fighting on the school's premises?"
Maisie raised her hand to talk. She heard a scoff from the side, it was Connor who did that, the bastard was just looking for means to infuriate her. "Connor was the one who started the fight, he came to bully me. The matter wouldn't have worsened if he had handed my food back to me but he remained adamant, insisting on having my food"
She took note, "So the problem here is food" Her gaze then flew to the school's bully, Connor, it wasn't a surprise that she was seeing him again today, he had been reported to her office five times today. Seriously, she wondered what to do to him.
"Let's hear from you," She said.
Connor looked to the side, where he saw that everyone was minding their business by facing the front. He didn't even know how to defend himself in this case, he was at fault and he knew it.
He just liked making fun of other students, seeing their flustered faces never fails to make him feel satisfied!
Mrs Lee was waiting for a response but it wasn't forthcoming, which proves to her that he was at fault.
At the moment when she wanted to give them punishment for their rebellious acts, she heard Connor say, "She's a thief, she stole the money that she used to buy the food" He said.
Maisie turned to him with a sharp look, meanwhile, Liam placed his hands on her. He wanted to remind her that if she got angry here, she was going to fart and disrupt the air, therefore she pretended not to hear anything.
"Are you now catching criminals for the school, Connor?" She demanded with a deep frown on her face.
