13 A secret basement

Tango had some time, his burst of cultivation was slowed as he started to need a large amount of aura. So as he couldn't get Lunar coins{1} for his cultivation it slowed, but Tango had to wonder what Lunar coins were made from if not pure aura. He started exploring the mansion completely as he gained full access after the bet with his mother. After several days of reading technique books freely he found a few that may be useful to him. Going down one of the many aisles in the library he found something odd.

On the floor was scarred marks, extremely faded but there none the less. Tango reached for the bookshelf that was in front of the marks and tried moving it. At first it didn't move, but eventually he heard a click as it swung open. "What the hell." Just as he was going to descend he heard Marletta call out to him. Tango than shut the secret door and reorganized the books that were on the shelf. "What were you doing over here?" "Marletta, what do you think i was reading in a library." "Right, well master, your mother had found out about you naming me." "Okay, and? I don't really care." "Neither did she it seemed, she...seems out of it, i think you should talk to her. Even though you dislike her, specially with her trying to sell you off. You are still family, well no actually i guess your not blood related." "Wait what we aren't related?" "Oh, sorry about that master, i did not know...that you know i guess."

It had been two weeks since the bet, should he talk to her. He had to think about, he may bring up the not related thing to his father. "Marletta can i dismiss you for the day i am just going to read here. The Atawashi family has many techniques, though not many cultivation resources." "That is because the household is built a top a metal foundry allowing for high metal affinity cultivation. Though i suppose you can't really use that like the rest. I will leave for the day master, but be careful not to go overboard." Marletta had realized that Tango was extremely independent despite his age, she was 5 years older than him, but he seemed just as mature.{2} So she left, and right after she left Tango opened the secret door once more and start his way down to whatever awaited him.
