TWENTY-FOUR: A Kiss For Infinity

"Do you remember this, my love?" She smiles her icy blue eyes sparkle as she looks down towards mine.

I smile. "Of course, I remember love. It's where we first met."

She smiles and within the moment one of her knees drops down to the grassy plains with a box out in her hand. Unable to comprehend what was going to happen next my hands travel to my lips to hide from the shock.

"Hisa Kanae," Nora's voice spoke with passion. "Would you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"

At that exact same time, the cherry blossom petals began to fall to the grass as the mischievous wind blew past us and the leaves sways in the air almost as if Nora had completely predicted the timing of the bloom. Tears of joy came running down my eyes, and I smile. "Y-yes!" Shakily my hand moves to hers as she slips the rose diamond ring into my finger.

Nora gets up from the grassy plain wrapping her hand around my waist pulling me towards her and I laid my hand to rest upon her chest with my face looking up to hers. Nora, a doll-like face captures my eyes as she cups my cheeks with her gentle fingers. I relaxed absorbing the moment when she whispers the sweet words into my ears. "I will be yours. And yours alone forever."

I smile. "As I am yours and yours along for infinity."

Underneath that very cherry blossom we sealed our promise with a kiss.
