6 Chapter 6: First Meeting

She writes her reply in email :

' It's alright, By the way I never saw you before in the award function? Are you a newbie?'

She closes her cellphone and leaves the place. She arrives at her home.

" How was the date ?" her mom asked as she saw Danica entering the house.

A servant takes her purse and another servant brings her a glass of water. She approaches her mom and sits beside her. She gives her a hug.

" Mom, you are so sweet and innocent too"

She now pulls her arm away and says "Do you know, that bastard lied to you. He was already married and wanted to marry a rich woman who can lift his debt and raise his children"

She now drinks water and gives the empty glass to the servant.

" Oh my god !" her mom exclaimed, she was so shocked but thankful at the same time that her daughter was safe .

"How did you know that?" her mom asked .

She smiles and says "This morning , I called my manager and told him to look into this person's whereabouts."

" Thank god, you are safe ! " said her mom "Now have your dinner. I was waiting for you"

Danica hugs her mom once again and smiles.

" Let's eat together , dear " said her mom, Patting her hand .

" Where is dad?" she asked

" Your dad already had his meal and now he is sleeping in his room. tch.." she gets bit annoyed.

" Oh my mom!" Danica laughs and says " okay , let's go"

No matter how tough and bold she is in front of the world , but, for her parents she always had a soft side. Not everyone was privileged enough to see and enjoy her childish and soft side.

After having her meal with her mom. she takes shower and finally she will have a good sleep.

Before sleeping she checks her cellphone.

*** ANOTHER EMAIL ***

She opens the email and it was from Alfred. It read like:

'Actually, I don't live here, This is my hometown and I am here for business purpose. The person who organised this entire event, is my friend. He invited me to attend this function'

[ Eh...He is a big catch] she thinks.

However, she was tired, So she didn't ask anything further and replied "Okay"

After few seconds she receives another email.

[ what the heck! ] she gets annoyed.

She opened it . It read like:

'Let's meet at Jackson's restaurant at 7:00 pm. I have something important to discuss'

Her eyes widened

[ He wants to meet me ? Nobody ever dared to say that ( I always got rid of them ,so). But, What is it that he wants to discuss?] she thinks.

" Alright! " she replies.

[ Ahh...this email thing is so annoying. It would have been better if I had given my contact no. ] she gets more annoyed.

She turns off her cellphone and falls asleep.

******* The Next Day ********

***** Danica's Company*****

" Boss is late today" said Mr. Paul

" Ahh...she is always late " added his friend .

Meanwhile a black car stops at the entrance of company.

" She is here..." said Paul

Door opens and Danica's big heels steps out of it. She walks in expressively and her two guards behind her .

" Why she needs bodyguards? " asked Paul friend.

"..."

He didn't answer back. As he was awestruck by his boss. However, he knew he was running out of luck in case of making Danica his girlfriend.

" Aye , You know she always turns you down" said his friend

" Man, Why don't you give up? " his friend added

"Shut up !" Paul replied

Paul was annoyed , As his friend was saying something every now and then to him and it was disturbing him since he was busy looking at his boss

" Huh, are you telling me to shut up ! " said his friend once again

" I know every secret of yours. You entered this company disguised as manager --just to make Danica yours. Now, it seems like you will end up as her manager forever" his friend grins and laughs briefly while speaking

"Why don't you tell your secret to her -- that you are owner of a multinational company " his friend added

" I don't have a death wish, my friend " Paul replied.

" I think she is looking for me" Paul added giving a child-like look.

" Aye, Paul..." his friend calls him as Paul runs towards the office area

" Aishh...this guy!" his friend muttered inwardly

**** Danica's Cabin ****

knock on the door,

" Yes, Come in" she said , Her head busy in signing documents.

Mr. Paul enters

" Boss, good morning" Paul said

" Morning" she said, avoiding looking at his face-- still busy in looking at documents.

[ Why she always avoids me like that ?] Paul thinks.

Before he could say anything - Danica looks at him and speaks " I want you to look into a person's whereabouts. his name is Alfred Brown. I want each and every detail about this guy by this afternoon " she gave a stern look as she spoke.

Mr. Paul's eyes widened as she cited person's name.

[ Alfred Brown... what the heck ! Oh no, what this guy is doing in her life? He was my classmate, We were in the same school. Is he trying to win her heart? Oh god ! How many guys are there in this competition ? let me know at once! ] Paul grieves inwardly.

Paul coughs..

" What happened ?" Danica asked " Is there any issue ?"

" N...no" he said staggeringly " I will give you details by this afternoon "

He briskly leaves the Danica's office.

" What happened to him , All of sudden? " Danica says , Staring at the door .

Paul wipes his head which was sweating

[ Aish...This person knows me and my identity. If he succeeded in winning her heart and entered this office one day. I will be exposed. what should I do ? ] Paul thinks

Suddenly an idea strikes his mind

[ Ah ..I will give all bad information about him to Danica. I will cite all bad and wrong doings of him in front of her. she will definitely brush off this Alfred. I will never let this guy win this girl's heart. She is mine . Oh Paul, You are so smart ] Paul thinks again

he smiles and jumps in excitement.

A woman passing by looks at his weird behavior.

" What happened to this guy? Look how he is behaving " she laughs and whispers in her Friend's ear .

Paul, noticed this and came back to his senses . "calm down!" he said to himself.

"Get back to mission "

He moves towards the office area and leans back as he sits in chair .

[ Look at me -- a big business man, Owner of a multinational company is working under someone and is doing 24/7 job. Oh god ! ] he gets lost in his thoughts and grieves inwardly about his situation.

Then suddenly he remembers Danica's order and his mission. So he abruptly leans forward and grabs the computer screen towards him. He starts searching. He even calls his secret sources to get information about Alfred.

After searching for an hour and setting up sources to get Alfred's whereabouts , He finds nothing.

"Why he is so accomplished person?" Paul cries

" Why this guy has no bad history?? why just why ?" he winces.

So, Now he had no choice , But, To represent the right information.

Clock showed " 1:00 PM"

He entered the Danica's cabin with a deflated face, As if he had lost a 12 million In gambling.

" What's wrong? " asked Danica

" Did you bring details about that guy?" she added.

" Yes Boss !" he said

" Tell me" she said, Now looking at the screen and working.

" He is very ambitious person and owner of many high profile multinational companies. He is very versatile -- Plays sports, Loves art and also knows how to play musical instruments . He has no bad records, neither any wrong doings nor bad history " Paul cited.

[ Why this guy is so accomplished ? Why ? Why he is more successful than me. ] Paul still moans inwardly and bite his lip as he thinks.

[ Quite impressive ] Danica thinks.

" You may leave now !" she said.

Paul leaves the office , she leans back and smiles.

[ I like him. I need to make sure, he is a kind hearted and nice person beside being successful] she thinks.

***** Jackson' s Restaurant*****

He was waiting for her , He booked the entire restaurant so that both can talk and discuss without any disturbances. He heard the sound of the heels , He knew -- She was coming.

He turns his head and sees her approaching near him . He looks at her intently and with a infectious smile.

She tucked one strand of her hair on backside of her earlobe and looks down ( smiles -- but tries to hide it )

As she approached the table , Alfred stands up and takes her chair out

" Please have a seat" he says

[ Why this person is so nice??] she thinks and smiles inwardly.

" Thank you" she says.

Waiter serves the food.

" What you wanted to discuss ?" She was being direct and straightforward.

She was trying her best to hide her emotions. On other hand he was trying his best to know her and gain her trust. He was smart enough to know that trust , Understanding and communication was only key to win her heart.
