20 Chapter 20: Danica --The Villianess

****** Alfred's Home******
Nina and Paul were sitting on the sofa, Paul lowered his head and flinched.
Nina keeps her hand on his shoulder and pats it.
Danica was standing behind the sofa and moving here and there anxiously.
Mr. Lee and Sean were sitting on the sofa beside Alfred.
A servant brings First Aid Kit and Alfred seizes it. He turns towards Sean and tells.
"Show me your hurt arm" he said
[How can he be so nice to Danica's ex?] Nina thought with brooding eyes.
Alfred bandaged his wound
Nobody spoke anything, there was complete silence. They were furious and shocked at the same time. The atmosphere among them was grave and held all kinds of emotions within it.
"Now, How we will get out of this rut?" Mr. Lee breaks the silence.
"The World Daily" Danica exclaimed
"W...what ?" Alfred mumbled looking at her with curiosity
"The world...?" Paul muttered giving a weird look.
"The World Daily -- Is most honorable and widely read the newspaper. Today in our Product launch event; all media, reporters, and journalists were invited from 'The World Daily' branch" Danica explained.
"Oh yeah I know that guy" Nina says promptly and stands up.
"The head of 'The World Daily', I know him" Nina explained.
"How do you know him?" Paul inquired with skeptical eyes.
"Year ago I did an art exhibition and in that exhibition, this person was found molesting a woman in a secluded room. Upon the inquiry, we found out that he was the head of the 'World Daily' branch. He pleaded to keep this incident a secret and promised us to never repeat that mistake" Nina explained
"Oh, God!! How can he commit such a lowly deed?" Mr. Lee mumbled and gritted his teeth.
"That's not the end" Danica said
keeping her hands at the back, she walked slowly and added "I got him almost sued because his branch was spreading wrong information about a man, accusing him of a murder that he didn't commit. A minister bribed him to do so. There are many sinful acts that his guy has committed"
Nina now looks at Danica and smiles, giving an indication.
Danica smiled back and inquired, "Are you thinking the same thing?"
"Yes" Nina gave a bemused smile.
"W...what's the thing?" Sean was clueless
"Yes, come on, tell us" Paul adds, he was curious.
"Aye, what are you trying to do?" Mr. Lee's brain lights up lately.
Danica came forward and proclaimed
"First we need to stop the media and articles that are publicizing information about this incident."
"Most of the articles and TV channels that are circulating this information are of World Daily" Nina expands Danica's statement.
"I and Nina will stop them. Since, we both know that Head very well" Danica said and tilted her head to the right side, and smiled glancing at Paul
"Second thing, Sean and Mr. Lee will go to CR Company and see if everything is alright. If you find anything off then just notify us" Nina asserted looking at them.
"Paul will stay at Alfred's home until everything settles down. You both stay alert and let us know if anything happens" Danica said looking straight and strode forward while speaking authoritatively.
[Aren't we supposed to protect you all?] Paul thought.
"That's perfect" Alfred stands up and says.
"Guys, I am with you" Mr. Lee added, he was beaming with enthusiasm
"I am having a rush of adrenaline again" Sean said and covered his arms as he spoke
"We are a team now !" Paul announced feeling hyped up.
"Let's get through this together" Alfred added with more enthusiasm.
"I like that" Danica smiled and murmured as she saw all of them bracing themselves and uniting.
"I have the footage of that molestation act" Nina says
"That's perfect!" Danica mumbled and snapped promptly.
"Do we need anything else?" Nina inquired Danica
"No! I am enough for that pervert. The entire branch knows 'Who Is Danica?' " Danica replies
She then looks at Mr. Lee and Sean.
"What are you waiting for? Just go to the company and do as we said" Danica asserts
"Yes Boss !" they replied in unison and vacated the house abruptly.
"Let's go Nina" Danica said and left the house
Nina followed.
Now Paul and Alfred were alone.
"How can you be so cool-headed?" Paul implored with popping eyes.
Alfred smiles and says "As long as Danica is with me, I can go through any hellish situations"
Paul smiled and said "Boss is enough for all"
"Boss???" Alfred muttered
"Oh.." Paul nodded nervously and answered "I had been addressing her as boss for three years so, I am habituated to it"
[ Hey Paul! Don't act so dumb, she is not your boss anymore] Paul was cursing inwardly his weird behavior.

Outside Alfred's home

Mr. Lee and Sean takes a black car and leaves hurriedly.
Danica and Nina took the other one.
Danica puts on her black sunglasses expressively before driving.
"Mr. Allen you are fucking dead" Danica mumbled inwardly as she put on the sunglasses.
"Your death is approaching you" she added.
Nina chuckled.

The World Daily Headquarters

It was a huge building of glass windows, at the prime of that building, it was written "WORLD DAILY" in gold letters.
Two employees were standing outside the building, they were gossiping and eating.
A black car stops at the entrance. Danica's heel steps out of the car and finally, she comes out of the car expressively.
The employee who was standing outside the building and eating with his companion starts choking as he saw Danica.
"What happened?" inquired his friend half-jokingly
The employee pointed his finger towards Danica. His hands were trembling hard.
His friend whirled back and saw Danica, He gets frigid out of fear and shuddered badly.
Now meanwhile, Nina steps out of the car in an expressive way.
They entered the building with elegance and walked as if they were the owner of that building.
As staff and employees saw them, they stood up, both as a mark of respect and fear. They lowered their heads as they both passed by them.
A man wearing a suit started staggering, As he catches a glimpse of them.
"Oh no, she is here. I need to inform the head" that man mumbled in a quavering voice.
He hastily leaves the area and heads towards the owner's office.
Employees who were working on their respective desks stands up briskly and bowed as they saw Danica and Nina approaching.
"Why are we standing up and bowing in front of them?" a newbie asked
"Shhh... stay silent" mumbled her friend.
A door had a label on It which said " Head"
Danica and Nina entered the cabin suddenly.
A man who was in his forties and wearing transparent glasses was sitting in his black chair comfortably as if he was already waiting for them to arrive.
Danica pulls a chair and sits on it keeping one leg on the other leg. She removes her black sunglasses expressively and smiles at that chief.
"Hello" she said
Nina who was standing near the side table, waved her palm
Mr. Allen smirked and then said, "What on earth brings you both here?"
"Oh, I see, your Company is accused of plagiarism. Ah...I am sorry to hear that" he says sarcastically and laughs.
"I am hiring new people this week, you can join here" He added and laughed briefly.
"We are here to notify you, to stop the news. Delete all the articles that you have written and published online on your site about this incident" Nina said sternly.
"Informing people of the whereabouts is our job. Do you think I will delete it? Do you think I will give permission ---" he said
Before he could finish his sentence, Danica laughs briefly and says "Permission... huh..!"
"Who is asking your permission? this is our decree and your work is to execute what's been asked to do" Danica said sternly
"Huh...I WON'T DO THAT" he emphasized his words.
Danica looks at Nina and gives a hint.
Nina takes out her cellphone and opens that video.
[What she is doing?] he was perplexed
Nina then showed that video to him and chuckled briefly.
"Do you remember this?" she asked
The face of Mr. Allen turns pale as he watches the video and wipes his sweating head with a handkerchief.
"H...How did you get this?" he inquires staggeringly
Nina takes away her phone from his hand and turns off the video.
"I guess we should post this video online. What do you think Nina?" Danica asked
"Yes why not, It will just take few seconds," Nina said and opened her phone.
"N...No please," he says with a frightened look.
"I will do as have told me to do" He approves finally.
"Very good, I like it" Danica said
"Do it now" Nina added sternly.
He stammers as he telephones one of his employees and gives the orders.
"Everything will be cleared within few minutes" He said
"It should be or else I will--" Danica said giving him a stern look.
"N..No..trust me! It will" He said in a quavering voice.
Danica stands up and says "And yeah, one more thing..."
She walks towards him and grabs his neck tightly.
He starts choking and gasping.
She now lowered her head and spoke with gritting teeth "When you see me, know that, I am not kept, I do the keeping."
"S...S...Sorry " he mumbles
"I can hire you here and now and keep you under my heels" she added.
Her clutch was now tighter, he was about to lose consciousness.
She now released his neck.
He tries to breathe harder.
Danica smirked at him
"Hire me....huh...bullshit" she mumbled
Now both of them left his office.
As they were leaving, the Entire staff stood up and bowed. They were all worried and frightened.
"What might have happened?" mumbled one of the employee
Everyone sighed as they left.
