12 Chapter 12 : Announcement
Paul enters Danica's office. He was so furious and because of that initially, he didn't recognize that Alfred, Sean, etc.. were in the office. He only saw his friend, Mr. Lee.
Paul grabs him from the back.
"What you said...Eh?" Paul mumbles as he clutched his friend from back.
"Stop, you jerk!" his friend replied and released himself from Paul's hold
"Where you were? we all were waiting for you?" His friend inquired him, raising his voice.
[Shouldn't I be the angry one?] Paul thinks.
Their childish fight was interrupted by Danica's voice
"Enjoying ..huh!" Danica said and grabbed the knife
"Is this amusement park?" she asked sarcastically.
Paul realized that he wasn't alone with his friend in the room. He sees Danica's furious face and starts trembling a little.
[ GULP...] Paul
Danica moves towards him, her one hand holding the knife and finger of the other hand strolled the edge of the knife.
"You are my manager, but you have got limits too. You left the company and didn't even mind informing or taking permission of your boss" she says in a low and grave voice
"I was waiting for you in the conference room and you were somewhere else. How embarrassing it was for me. My team members are so clumsy and absent-minded" she adds
She now leans closer to him.
She grabs his neck and speaks gritting her teeth "I am the BOSS, I make rules. The first rule is ' NEVER DISAPPOINT YOUR BOSS' "
Paul was gasping and struggled hard to get rid of her grip.
"How can you forget the rule no. one? you pervert!" She raised her voice and her eyes broadened as she spoke.
Sean and Mr. Lee were now scared as hell upon seeing the fierceness of Danica.
"I...I am sorry" he was now choking.
"I hate disappointments!" She said and clutched his poor neck tighter now.
"You disappointed me! you are worthless. I don't need such an impractical person in my company" she muttered gritting her teeth.
"Adiéu..." she whispered in his ears and was about to hit him with a knife.
She wanted to kill him with the knife, but her hand halts halfway in the air and it wasn't able to move. She turns her head back and discovers that Alfred was holding her hand.
Alfred wanted to calm down her but didn't know how.
"Stop Danica" Alfred tells
"Killing someone like this is not a solution. Don't make a mountain out of mole" he explained.
"You, shut up!" Danica said with fierce eyes.
Alfred realized by now that talking patiently like this won't soothe her.
[Love conquers the world. This is just a wave of anger. I need to stop her with love, I guess ] Alfred thinks fast.
Alfred now pulls Danica towards himself and gives her a warm hug. She tries to get out his hug, but, fails.
Paul breaths heavily and coughs.
Alfred tells everyone to leave the cabin and orders Paul to put up blind as he leaves.
"Calm down" Alfred pats her head and gives a more warm and tight hug.
Danica feels sudden peace, but still, she was furious.
[Maybe still she is angry. What should I do?] Alfred thinks.
He released Danica. However, before she could do anything. He grabs her head gently and kisses her. She wanted to push him away but failed.
After a minute, the knife falls on the ground from her hand and she reciprocates his kiss. He grabs her up and makes her sit at the table. He kissed her a little bit more longer. As he wanted to make sure that she wasn't nasty anymore.
He stops and was still holding her head. She was panting badly (he didn't give her a chance to breathe).
He rearranges her hair and says in a sweet voice "Control your anger"
She nods.
She was feeling shy now.

Paul's friend gives him a glass of water and sits next to him.
"Are you alright?" asked his friend
"Yes"
Paul drinks water and keeps glass aside.
"I was just about to die, thanks to Alfred, he saved me," Paul says
"She almost killed you, dude" His friend said
Suddenly Paul remembers, why he left the office briskly.
He looks at his friend giving a serious stare.
"W..what...?" his friend mumbled and looked away
"You are at the fault," Paul said
"if you restrained yourself from telling me that Nina is pregnant, I would have never left office like that. You could have told me afterward" Paul explains.
"Wait! w..what? I guess you should go and get your ears checked. I didn't say 'NINA'. I said 'DANICA', okay ?" Mr. Lee emphasized their names as he spoke.
"So, it's Danica" Paul mumbled
"Wait, what? DANICA!" Paul's mind finally lights up.
"Yeah! At least you should remove your headphones when someone is talking to you. Because of your silly mistake, today we got into huge trouble. YOU WERE ALMOST DEAD !" Paul's friend says.
"I know! But how you came to know this?" Paul inquired.
"I heard Alfred saying to Danica " KEEP THIS CHILD". I guess she got pregnant accidentally and now wants to abort the child" Paul's friend explains and was trying to join two and two situations.
[ Aish... This Alfred. Yesterday he kissed her and today he made her pregnant! What's going on? I knew this guy wasn't right for her ] Paul mumbled inwardly.
"Since, Danica is now pregnant. I don't think you should still go behind her and woo her. Man, just give up, okay?" Paul's friend was trying hard to make him understand.
Paul's friend pats Paul's shoulder and stands up.
"Let's get back to work" he said.

Alfred gets a call and he says to Danica
"I will be right back"
He leaves the cabin.
Danica feels elevated but disgraceful at the same time.
"Oh no..." She hides her face with her hands
"Why he kissed me like that? the worst thing is, I reciprocated. Oh God !" she mumbled, concealing her face.
She comes down from the table and rearranges her hair and sits on the sofa, and Makes coffee for herself.
"Aaah ..." she feels slightly relieved as she takes a sip of coffee.
She leans back and thinks [ By the way, why everyone gave me advice on child and health??]
KNOCK !!
"Yes, come in" she says
Nina enters the room.
Danica stands up, upon seeing her and hugs her.
"What brings you here?" Danica asked
"Today, Paul arrived at my house, all of sudden and ---" Nina explains everything.
"Oh I see, So, that's why he left office abruptly. Thanks to Alfred, he saved your love" Danica said while cleaning the black glass of her sunglasses.
"What do you mean?" Nina asked
"I almost killed him" She puts on her black sunglasses now and proceeds "Alfred stopped me"
"Just j--" Nina was angry "Control your anger"
"Sorry " Danica makes a puppy face
"By the way, are you pregnant?" Nina asked.
"WHAT!" Danica exclaimed, she was shocked.
"Stop talking nonsense !" She says
"Everyone in your company is talking about this" Nina replied.
"What the fuck is this now!" Danica gets furious
"I AM NOT PREGNANT!" she said
"Then who is spreading such rumors ?" Nina mumbles.
"Wait for a second! Everyone were giving me advice on child and health, out of the blue. I should have comprehended by then" Danica joins two and two situations.
"Oh, I see"
"You said Paul's friend was kidding Paul about your pregnancy!" Danica inquired Nina.
"Yes" Nina nods
Danica mumbles "Mr. Lee you are dead now!"

Mr. Lee was working. Meanwhile, an employee approaches him.
"Mr. Lee, Boss is calling you in her cabin," said the employee.
Mr. Lee Gulps and says "okay"

Mr. Lee enters the cabin shuddering.
"Mr. Lee!" Danica says sternly "Let's be straightforward !"
She removed her black sunglasses expressively.
"Was it you, who spread the rumors about my pregnancy?" She asked.
Mr. Lee's head lowered and he didn't utter a word.
"Come on, speak up !" She raised her voice.
"I won't kill you if you tell the truth," She said as she approached nearer to him, her hands at the back.
"A person is silent when either he is ashamed or as a mark of respect " she walks around him and she says.
She suddenly grabs his tie and pulls it.
He starts choking.
"ANSWER ME !!" she raised her voice even more.
"Y..yes" he utters.
She releases his tie instantly, he rearranges it and tries hard to breathe.
"It's quite interesting" Danica says
"In the past few years, you never created such nuisance in my company. What happened today? Are you planning to betray me ?" she raised her one eyebrow and inquired
"N...Never I can betray you, boss, not even in dreams!" he said.
Danica gives a brief smile
"Then what's the matter ?" she asked
"I heard Mr. Alfred saying you 'KEEP THIS CHILD'.." He explains
Danica sighs and then says "You fool! he was talking about the homeless child to whom his car was about hit yesterday "
"He took him to an orphanage and told them to keep that child " she adds
"Oh, sorry Boss I misunderstood the entire thing" he lowers his head in shame.
"If you don't want to lose your job, then go and undo your mistake" she asserted crossing her hands against her chest.
"Okay Boss" He replied
"LEAVE !" she gets colder.
He leaves the cabin briskly.

In-Office Area

"Here is an announcement!" Mr. Lee declared
"I am sorry, I delivered the wrong information. It was all my fault. There is a huge misunderstanding guys . Danica is not pregnant. I overheard the conversation and misunderstood everything, sorry " He explains
Everyone gave him a serious stare
"You pervert!" said an employee.
