"Why are you with that Donovan?" Aidan stopped three steps away from Hope, leaning his body against the wall next to him, not even feeling bothered when he saw Hope grabbing the handle of the door, ready to flee. "You know who he is?"

Hope knew Kace's last name was Donovan, but… "That was the same question that I want to ask him too, if you don't mind letting me live a little bit longer." Hope answered offhandedly. She reached into her pocket and swept her finger across her phone screen which she assumed would answer the call from whoever it was. 

"Hmm." Aidan rubbed his chin. "So, you don't know?" His voice was a little bit off as he contemplated. "Don't you think that you are too ignorant, little girl?" 

Hope scoffed. She had been living with Serefina for as long as she could remember, of course there were one or two traits of that witch that got rubbed onto her personality. Especially, her arrogant nature when it came to threats.
