195 THE HORN OF UNICORN

"That's the horn of a unicorn." Serefina replied without slowing down her steps. Raine was half running trying to catch up with her.

"But it disappeared into my body." Raine touched her chest where the horn had disappeared. "Will I be all right with that thing in my body?" She was worried. Serefina mentioned before that in order to win the war, her death was necessary. But she would not die now, would she?

As long as there was time, she was pretty sure that with Torak, they could still figure out what to do to deflect that dreadful fate. Just like Torak had said, the guardian angel did not survive the war because no one cared enough to protect them. Indeed, it sounded cruel to her. But if someone did care otherwise, who knew what the outcome would be.

"The horn of a unicorn is for your protection." Serefina looked to her right and then to her left, as if looking for the right direction. Thenshe turned to her left and walked on.
