28 Chapter-28 Oliver's Friends

Oliver's POV

"There is no point in sighing. You have no escape from this now. I agreed with your request and said nothing in the marketplace and I also called everyone here because each of us have right to know why you are here. Now start talking before I hit you. ", Will said.

Anger was clearly visible on his face. He was so angry that his face started turning red. 

" Calm down Will. Don't get so angry. You are a fairy and anger does not suit you. Take a deep breath in and out. ", Sam said. 

Will took a deep breath, held it for two seconds and let it out.

After five minutes he calmed down and said, " I am just worried about Oliver and there is only one thing that I fear for him. You all clearly know that, right? "

"I know what you are worried about and I guess only Oliver can answer this question. So Oliver, why are you here instead of human realm? I thought that we clearly warned you not to come back here and don't even think about your mission. ", Sam said. 

" I tried my best but I had no choice but to come back. I tried my best to avoid it but I can't avoid it my whole life. ", I answered. 

" Did your uncle call you back? ", Sam asked in an ordering tone. 

" Uh.... No..... Uhh... To be honest... "

At this Will lost his patience again and shouted, " Stop STAMMERING, OLIVER. DID YOUR UNCLE CALL YOU BACK. BE HONEST AND ANSWER A SINGLE DAMN QUESTION. "

" Yes. ", I said, without looking in their eyes. 

Sam started shaking his hands in anger. His muscles tightened amd eyebrows crooked. He was trying his best to not show anger in his voice but failed miserably. 

" Even if he called you, you should not have returned back. We had such a hard time planning everything, preparing evrything for you to return and ruin everything. ", Sam said. 

" I am sorry Sam. I tried but I could do nothing. He threatened me to come back home. I kept on avoiding him and his stupid letters for an entire year but I could not. ", I said apologetically. 

I knew that my friends made a lit of effort to prevent me from returning back. They contacted all their friends and accquaintances in the human realm for a place to live. They also kept on asking me to change my address after every month to prevent my uncle from finding out where I was. So it is natural for them to ba angry and I accept that. I came back here knowing what I am signing for. 

"Threatened? How did he threaten you now? With what? ", Jack who had been quietly listening to us, exploded. 

" With us. ", Alex replied. 

" Us? What do you mean by that, Alex? ", Will said, surprisingly. 

" ALEX.. ", I shouted. 

" What? You need to tell them otherwise they will kill you with their anger and nagging before your trashy uncle. ", Alex said. 

" It means that you knew that he will come back, right Alex? ", Will said. 

" Yes I knew. We talked before he left his house in the human world. "

"And you didn't care to tell us, at all. You didn't think that we needed to know about that too. ", Will said, with tears in his eyes. 

I have rarely seen him with teary eyes. He always pretends to be carefree, strong, manly and cheerful but we know that he is the softest among us. He couldn't even pass by an injured baby dragon and loved everyone. He had the bubbliest personality and always treated everyone well. 

I still remember the time when we were playing near a garden and were showing off our skills. Suddenly we heard a loud cry near the lake in that garden. We went near it and found a baby dragon lying in the grasses. His wings were injured and he was afraid too. He was a fire dragon so he threw fire shots whenever someone came near him. When we looked up we saw that some dragons were circling in the sky and playing. This little one must have got injured while playing with them, we thought. 

"Let's leave it here only or else it can hurt us", a boy suggested. All of us agreed because we didn't want to get burned. 

After playing for an hour we started going back home. I remembered that I forgot my books there so, I went back with Sam and Jack to get them back. We couldn't find Will on our way because he disappeared, out of nowhere. We thought he returned back home for something. 

When we reached the garden we found Will caressing the dragon and applying something on his wings. We were completely dumbfounded by his behaviour. We knew him to be carefree and a cheerful guy who didn't take part in fights, arguments or even cared about anyone. 

But at that time we saw how soft he was. The moment he saw us, he became self-conscious. We saw that he had some burns in his hands but didn't say anything. We didn't want to damage his self-esteem, so we left quietly. 

The next day I bought an lotion for his burn but found that Sam was already there applying something on Will's burn. 

At that time we came to know about his real personality and nature. He was a very soft hearted being who couldn't see anyone in pain. 

Now today, I was seeing Will in tears again and that too, because of me. Will has been in tears for only five times and all were because of me. Why am I the one who causes pain and suffering to everyone dear to me? Why can't I live like a normal being with a normal life? What have I done so wrong to deserve all this? 

I felt that a fight will break out between Will and Alex so, I said, " I told him not to tell you all. "

"Why? Why didn't you want us to know? Don't you care about us at all? ", Will said. 

" He does. He cares about us a lot. That is why he is here. ", Alex said. 

Oh no! This guy is about to tell them everything. 

" No Alex, don't. PLEASE DON'T. ", I pleaded. 

" You need to tell them Oliver. They also deserve to know. ", Alex said. 

" What did you mean by saying that he was threatened with us, Alex. Continue Alex and Oliver, don't you even dare to say another word. ", Sam said with threatening eyes. 

I could not say anything else. I just looked at Alex with pleading eyes and begged him not to tell them.
