2 Reincarnated

There's coldness, then nothing. A few moments later, something changed and I felt warm again. The feeling was familiar, like putting on a warm coat that you have been wearing for a very long time.

When I opened my eyes, everything seems to be huge and blurry. I tried to move but something heavy was wrapped my around body. I felt comfortable in the cloth I was in. But everything is bothering

'Damn, I never thought I would be reincarnated! But aren't my memories supposed to be erased? Or was it supposed to be like in those self-insert fictions I've read? Well, I ain't complaining. It's sad that my parents won't know me, but I'll be moving on for my new life.'

After an hour of waiting, a cold breeze blew, caressing my exposed face. Woah, it's too cold. Isn't it supposed to be spring right now? Well maybe I'm on the other part of the planet, and knowing I'm a baby, my body should be more sensitive. I don't know what made me cry. My baby instincts reacted first and I cried. A lot.

A few moments later, the door opened and a woman, a nun I think, looked down. Her eyes widened as she saw me on the ground. Wrapped in white cloth and stuffed inside a basket.

"Oh, you poor thing. What kind of parent leaves their baby on a cold night?" The nun sighed

As she picked me up gently, a paper fell on the floor. The nun picked it up and read what was written there. I saw her face and thought she was very beautiful. Judging from her age, she must be at least twenty years old. She's still young but she acts like a mother. Maybe I'm in an orphanage.

"So your name is Fredrick huh? You poor baby. Let's go inside, it's getting cold."

My eyes narrowed as I was suddenly exposed in the light. Although my vision is not developed enough, I can tell that the place is really big and everything feels cozy. As I was a baby, I easily fell asleep. My dream was filled with colors. One moment everything was blue, then a red light flashed, and changed into green. The lights are so familiar but I can't place where I remembered seeing them.

**3 years later**

I am in the garden right now, helping Sister Anna water the plants. Sister Anna was the one who picked me up outside the orphanage.

I may not be in puberty, but I can tell that Sister Anna was very beautiful. There were male visitors sometimes coming to the orphanage, and I know those were Sister Anna's suitors. I mean, if I was two decades older, I would be courting her too. But every suitor was turned down. Sister Anna said that her heart is in the orphanage and she loves taking care of us.

'Aw, I really love you sister.'

If I'm old enough I would be helping Sister Anna. She deserved at least that much. She already sacrificed too much for the orphanage. There were fewer nuns compared to the first time arriving here. The others were already old and retired.

The orphanage was not in a good state, but it's not bad either. Some of the former orphans who landed a job decided to donate some money for us. Showing their gratitude for taking care of them when they were young. Every nun was very happy since their budget is limited, and more kids were being brought inside.

"Okay, Fred. Transfer those flower pots here. When you're finished, take a bath okay?" Sister Anna said in a half caring and half ordering tone. I was the closest kid to her since I've been helping her the moment I was able to carry things inside the orphanage.

Speaking of myself, I was already 3 years old now. I may be close to Sister Anna, but I'm not too friendly with the other orphans. I mean, I'm an adolescent in a child's body. Who the hell wants to talk gibberish with the other kids? But Sister Anna is not too happy with that. I don't want to disappoint her so I spend some time with the other children. When I say time, it's 15 minutes at least and 20 minutes at most. I'll rather be ordered around by Sister Anna than play with some whiny kids.

The other reason why I spend a little time with the other orphans is that they rarely talk to me, at least the older ones. They find my hair and eyes odd. Even the nuns do, but they look more concerned about that. The first time I looked at myself in the mirror, I was amazed too. I mean, I have a silver hair that is almost white, and my eyes are gray too. Not being narcissist, but I look cute. Maybe I'll become a hottie when I grow up.

'Okay stop that thought, it's dangerous.'

But I found it odd too. I mean the colors are too familiar. Where did I read those descriptions again?

Anyway, I already finished reading the flower pots so I'm going back inside. I had quite a reputation inside the orphanage too. While the kids consider me odd and weird, the nuns consider me gifted or a genius. It's because I already managed to stand up within the first 4 months of my life. But it was not easy, I started trying the moment I knew how to crawl and it was even after 2 months since I came to this world. I also managed to say my first word before I reached my first birthday. It's not easy. At all. I was just too bored sleeping and laying around. When I was 2 years old. I started doing small tasks like helping Sister Anna in her garden. She taught me how to transfer plants from one pot to another. I was never allowed to carry the pots until I was 3 years old.

The nuns were very pleased with me and found me cute since I always follow Sister Anna around the orphanage like a duckling to his mother duck. What can I say? I never had any romantic partner in my past life, and that one night stand was only filled with lust and without love. But I'm mature enough to say I only feel gratitude to Sister Anna because she was the one who took care of me the most.

The kids still play with me because the younger ones are too innocent to know the word weird. But I always keep my distance from them. It's too uncomfortable for me to play with less mature people.

I was sleeping when I dream of something very strange. I don't know where I was, but I only know I was surrounded by walls. The only source of light was coming from the moon that passes through a thin, vertical, rectangle-shaped window. And the only other hole was found beneath the metal door. I was in a heavily guarded prison cell considering how enclosed the whole cell is. The place is eerily familiar.

"Hello, kid." A gruff voice said.

When I turned around to the source of the sound, what greeted me was a very familiar face. A very old man with long white hair. He was dressed in a white ragged robes while sitting in the corner of the cell. The only thing that revealed his face was the light coming from the moon.

And that's when everything clicked into me. My appearance, those weird dreams filled with different colors, the calendar which was dated in the 1980s. It all made sense to me.

The old man smirked.

"Welcome to Nurmengard."

I'm in the world of Harry Potter.
