1 Chapter 1: the lost child

Hello, the year is 1446 my name is Selene Bloodrose I'm the vampire Princess I'm 14 years old. I'm not a full vampire yet, so I age just like a human. My family was murdered by the Lycans. The kingdom I live in is called Arora Bella. This is my story so sit back and enjoy the ride.

I was in the woods playing with my friend who happens to be a Lycan his name is Antonio Blakesley. We were heading back to the castle with a basket full of berries so we could make a pie. When we got to the end of the woods Antonio grabbed me and he signed me to be quiet. Antonio said to me that he would go and see what's going on. So, I nodded he was taking too long, and I was getting nervous. when he finally came back, he was out of breath and said to me "Selene you must run the Lycan king is looking for you." I was shocked and scared. Then we were spotted, so what I could think was to run to the dragon cages, we had. I let all of them go but they wouldn't leave without me. Arctica the queen of the dragons came towards me and placed her nose next to my feet. I petted her I got on her and Antonio got on another one we flew away from home. I turned to see my home and it was in flames I heard roars. We made it to a mountain that is 40,000 feet high. It's called The Monstrous Pinnacle, it is surrounded by snow. Since Antonio is a Lycan he can turn and not be cold but I was freezing. We all went into the cave where some of the dragons made a fire pit, I sat next to it to keep warm. I fell asleep instantly, Antonio came up to me, he saw that there was a tear running down my cheek, he came towards me and wiped it off. Then one of the dragons named Ildra the great, he covered me with his smoke which gave me the power to speak to dragons and it also awoke my vampiric powers. A month later Antonio and I walked down the mountain to a small town called Ina Alora it's an Elven town. As soon as we stepped into the town Antonio and I were surrounded by guards, A wise elf came towards us I was so scared I started to cry, Antonio turned into his wolf form. to protect me he was growling to the guards. The wise elf he looked at us and smile he said to the guards "please stand down they are children." The wise elf took us to his home we sat next to the fireplace and he gave us some hot chocolate to warm us up then he looked at me and said, "You're the missing Vampire princess, aren't you?" Antonio being overprotective came between me and the wise elf he was about to turn. But I placed my hand on his shoulder and said, "Antonio it's ok to step down." Antonio moved out of the way and I looked at the wise elf and I just nodded. The wise elf looked at me and asked, "what happened why did you leave your home?" I looked at the wise elf and said, "the Lycan king killed my family and destroyed my kingdom, Arctica brought me here. Antonio and I have come here to look for food and clothes." The wise elf looked at us and said, "we can't just give you the food and clothes, but I can make arrangements for both of you to work for it if you like." I was happy to hear that so I looked at the wise elf and said, "wise elf we would greatly appreciate it, thank you." So, Antonio and I followed the wise elf. He took Antonio with the guards and he said, "Guards this Lycan boy will train with you, in exchange for food and clothes." All the guards nodded and said, "yes wise elf." So, we walked to a woman's house and he hugged and kissed her I smiled and said, "wise elf is this your wife." They both looked at me and nodded yes. The wise elf said to me "Selene this is my wife Amarie, you will be working with her here, she is our witch doctor." I smiled and said, "nice to meet you Amarie, I'm Princess Selene Bloodrose." Amarie just smiled and said, "I will be happy to work with you, in exchange I will teach you somethings as well." I nodded it was getting late, we heard a dragon roar it was Arctica she was calling us. I ran to Antonio and I said, "Antonio we have to go she's calling us." Antonio looked at me and he roared back, to let the dragons know we are on our way. As we were leaving wise elf came and said, "wait I have something for you." We looked back wise elf gave us a basket full of food. I looked back at the wise elf and hugged him and said, "thank you wise elf." He just smiled, so we made it back to the cave. Arctica came towards us, in her soft voice she said, "Selene my darling, how did it go?" I looked at Arctica showed her the basket. I told her about the wise elf, and that we must work for the food and clothes, she smiled at me and said, "very well my darling come let's sit next to the fire and eat." We were eating and I was telling Arctica about Amarie that's when Arctica said, "I know Amarie she and my father used to work together. Also, they were coupled." I didn't understand so I said, "Coupled but she's an elf he's a Dragon?" Arctica and everyone started to laugh then Arctica said, "hahahahaha, no Selene coupled means that a Dragon and another person have a special bond." She explained that a Dragon and a person of any species can be coupled they can see, hear, and feel when their partner is in danger. They also share magical powers. I was so excited so I said, "I can't wait to be coupled, it will be fun." When I said that everyone went silent. Antonio came up to me he held my hands in his and said, Selene darling Vampires have never been coupled before." I just smiled and said, "its never been done but its possible right?" Arctica smiled and said, "Ok enough time to sleep." Antonio and I hugged each other I leaned towards Arctica and Antonio turned into his wolf and slept next to me. Outside the cave, Ildra was looking up at the stars, when Arctica came outside and said, "so Ildra when are we going to tell her about the Prince?" Ildra looked at Arctica said, "it's not our place to tell her…our job is to protect her and raise her nothing more and nothing less understood? Arctica with a sad face said, "yes I understand…grandfather." The next day Antonio and I set out to start our work with the elves. When we got there the elves were just starting to set up. So, Antonio went with the guards and I went to Amarie's house when I knocked, she opened the door she smiled at me and said, "good morning Selene would you like some breakfast before we go?" I looked at her as I stepped in, I said, "yes I would thank you." As we were finishing our breakfast, I looked at Amarie and I said, "so where are we going?" Amarie looked at me and said, "we're going to Rivendell." I looked at Amarie and said, "so is Rivendell far from here?" she nodded no as she drank her tea. As soon as we finished Amarie grabbed her satchel of herbs and elixirs. We headed toward the town's city hall and we got into a lift which took us down under the town. There was a whole city as the lift landed Amarie gave me her hand and said, "Selene my dear don't be afraid." Soldiers were waiting for us they walked us to an underground castle where we met King Cassius and Queen Elora of the Elves. As we bowed my necklace and my eyes shined green like a dragon's eye. Queen Elora stood up and walked towards me. When I looked up, she was in front of me, so I stood up she smiled and said, "what a beautiful necklace. Where did you get it?" I looked at Queen Elora and said, "my parents gave it to me for my birthday when I was little It's a family heirloom." The Queen just smiled and then Amarie said, "your majesty why are we here?" the Queen looked up and said, "my son Prince Legolas he is sick." So, the Queen walked us to Prince Legolas room, when we entered, he was laying in his bed he looked dead. Amarie went towards Prince Legolas and started examining him. When Amarie was finished she looked worried Amarie and the Queen stepped out of the room Amarie said, "your highness I don't know what is wrong with the Prince. Did he eat anything new or strange?" the Queen started crying and nodded no. I was left alone with the Prince. I got closer to him he looked familiar, as soon as I touched his face, I started getting flashbacks of the Prince and me. Then my necklace started glowing and so did the chain the Prince had I started to freak out, so I screamed Amarie and the Queen ran into the room. When they saw what was happening Amarie looked at me and said, "Selene calm down, I'll tell you what to do ok." I just nodded yes. So Amarie said, "Ok Selene holds the Prince's hands and kisses him." I closed my eyes and I kissed the Prince on the lips. As soon as I did that there was a blast of light, then Prince Legolas opened his eyes. He has such beautiful lavender eyes and he also has long white/purple hair. When the Prince looked at me and he sat up smiled and hugged me and he said, "Selene you're here I've missed you." He let me go I stood up and I said, "I'm sorry but I don't know you." He looked at his mother the Queen she grabbed me looked into my eyes and said, "Selene how can you not remember him." Then Amarie gave me some tea to drink it was horrible. But as soon as I swallowed the tea my eyes rolled back, and I started to get intense flashbacks. I dropped to the floor when I lifted my head my eyes were Red, and my fangs were out, and I hissed. I stood up my wings came out and I an evil smile and I said with an evil voice, "I'm Selene Aurora Bloodgood and everyone will pay for the deaths of my people and my parents." Then Prince Legolas came towards me he hugged me then he looked into my eyes and he smiled and kissed me. And then he whispered into my ear, "you will never be alone again my Princess. We will be your family." When he said that tears were falling down my face, and then I fell to my knees and I used my sonic scream I broke every glass in the room. Then I passed out, Prince Legolas was asleep by my side he was on his knees. Then he said with his eyes closed, "It's rude to stare milady." Then he opened his eyes we started to laugh, and he told me that I was asleep for a month, then I remembered I said with a worried look "my dragons they must be worried." He smiled and said, "I've talked to your friend Antonio he let them know that about everything." I looked at him and said, "how do we know each other?" he laughed and said, "my darling Selene our families wanted us to get married when we get older." I looked sad and I said, "but I don't have a family anymore so we can't get married." Prince Legolas said while holding my hands, "Selene we are your family, everyone, you met all your friends we all love you. We will follow you anywhere." I just smiled then Amarie came in when we were laughing and she said, "that's a good sign." I hugged Amarie, then she asked me to stand up just to make sure everything works. Amarie smiled and said, "everything looks good but just to make sure don't overdo it ok relax and rest." I just nodded then I saw Antonio and a dragon egg. So, I ran towards Antonio. Prince Legolas and Amarie were right behind me, when I was face to face with Antonio, I ran towards him and I hugged him and then he said, "Selene, Arctica sends this egg for you." It was such a beautiful egg it shined bright when the sun hits it. It looks like a rainbow, I looked at Antonio and said, "Antonio is this egg Arctica's egg?" he smiled and nodded yes, I was so confused I didn't understand why Arctica would give me one of her children. I hugged the dragon egg and then I ran down the stairs I was making my way to the lift to go see Arctica but Antonio, Legolas and everyone was running after me to stop me. When I was waiting for the lift to come back down Antonio looked at me and said, "you can't go see Arctica, Selene." I turned around and said, "why not she is family." Prince Legolas came towards me and said, "I'm sorry but the Lycan king found the cave and was looking for you. We managed to rescue the babies and the eggs and some of the adults but Arctica was fighting them off so the others could escape. Arctica didn't make it." When I heard that my heart dropped, I fell to the ground and I somehow roared so loud the other dragons roared also. Legolas came towards me I looked at him with tears running down my face he hugged me, and he said, "Selene my darling come we will have a dragon funeral for Arctica."
