Die

"If your day drooling over the goddess of beauty is done, you shall grant your mighty visit to the next dying person", upon seeing grim smiling all to himself while gazing at the water sprouting out of the fountain next to his sight, Jeremy walked in his direction.

"Who? Me? And drooling over someone? You've gotta be kidding me, Jeremy", putting on the he-doesn't-care-at-all look, he released a half-suppressed laugh in the calm, peaceful air of the realm of skies.

"Not gonna work on me Shawn", chucking the small pieces of bread in the water, he ridiculed him.

"Her body is a hot tempting meal I can't seem to resist. Moreover, she enjoys licking around my veiny length. Giving girl what she craves for", grim shot him a lofty grin.

"As if I'm gonna buy it", dismissing his grin, Jeremy took an empty spot next to grim.

"You can only buy fish food, seagull", grim rolled his eyes over Jeremy and continued talking.

"Also I don't need to make up stories here. I already said her body is seducing. That's it. Let's say we both are enjoying each other's company", this was correct though. He was the disdainful grim reaper who never gave two shits about how other spirits thought of him. Not required to mention that there wasn't a single goddess he never laid a finger on. Let's correct it here. There wasn't a sole female soul in the realm of skies whose mind hadn't crossed the thought of getting in close proximity with grim.

"Still cannot fathom how all of them are smitten for you."

When Jeremey came here first-time thousands of years ago, he was more than just thunderstruck seeing how dominant grim was among everyone. However, he had already grasped the fact when his father agreed on his youngest son working as a servant for a grim reaper. Son of a King working for a grim? His father couldn't choose any worse for him. Nonetheless, with time he got to know about the latter and surprisingly grew attached to him.

"I also wonder what's the use of this fountain in the realm of skies?", when he finished chucking every bit of bread in the water he faced grim.

"When you are in the skies, doesn't mean you have to miss the part of the marine life."

As if species of aquatic life get to ride on clouds. Jeremy sighed giving up. He was expecting a logical answer but who he was asking in the first place.

"Oh, Cora!", seeing the goddess of flowers making her way towards the garden, Jeremy called out for her.

"Hey, Jeremy. Hi, Shawn", being the goddess of flowers, she owned a sweet, polite personality. However, flowers include roses and roses do have thorns. Means she wasn't a deceivable person. She knew where to speak and when.

"Where's Catherine?", Jeremy asked.

"She was having a hard walking so I told her to have some rest", Cora reasoned out upon which grim let out a derisive chuckle.

"You're a beast in the bed you know that. Don't you?", Cora once slept with grim and she swore to heavens that it was her first and last time with him. As much as she enjoyed every second of the night, she loved greeting her flowers every morning. There was no way in the sky she was going to compromise the refreshing start of her mornings just for lust.

"Are you having a bad time recalling it? Mind me making it easier for you?", grim got up from his place, smirking.

Jeremy facepalmed himself upon watching him teasing Cora. He knew that he was only teasing her. If she wanted it to be a one-time thing, there was no way grim was going to force himself on her. It was not that he ran out of seducing bodies.

"If you're done chit-chatting here, your duty is calling for you", they all turned their heads in the direction of the voice to find all rejuvenated Ian.

"Good Morning Goddess Cora. Good Morning Jeremy", Ian splashed a genuine, light-hearted smile. He was eldest among all. He was respected by every spirit, not just in the realm of skies but the spirits of other realms held great respect for the spirit of the air.

"Morning Ian", Cora smiled back at him. Grim didn't spare him a glance. Tit for tat. Spreading good mornings, Ian ignored grim as if he wasn't present there. That's what grim thought. Well, yeah forgetting that he was the first one the spirit of air addressed to when he joined them.

"Shawn you should smile at your elders. Rolling eyes doesn't upgrade the size of your already large wings. Correct me if I'm wrong", Ian didn't have any grudge against grim. He just wanted him to be considerate of other's feelings. Yeah, if only possible, he would teach some sense into him. He was going on with his unduly proud behaviour for a long time, no one knew when his patience would hit the core of the underworld.

"I didn't know that a smile upgrades them twice for each FAKE curve", stressing over at fake, grim's mouth curved into an ironic smile.

Without waiting for his response, he spread his wings, overshadowing three of them, he checked for the death note in the pocket of his pants and flew off.

"Let's test the patience of this kid", after making a sneering comment, Ian also walked off.

"I'm not asking for much. Can't Shawn be a this-this bit respective towards Ian?", joining the two fingers together, Jeremy looked at the goddess of flowers. He brought his fingers apart, only much distant to let the air pass.

"Shut this gap close. Imagine the picture of who you're talking about, you're indeed asking for much. And don't go as if he adores you and me very much", Cora made her way to the garden.

"Can I join you?", Jeremy shot up from his seat and followed her. It was time for her to witness flowers blooming.

"Sure."

Down on the Earth

"You f*cker! What did I do to deserve you cheating on me!", Ellen yelled looking at the sea waves crashing with each other as if battling to reach the shore first.

"I hate you f*cking cheater of the century! You unfaithful piece of shit! I'm glad that I didn't lose my virginity to you!!"

Last night she caught her ex-boyfriend red-handed with a girl in the club where her best friend works. She got very out of control not before giving him a hard slap across his face and breaking up with him. Her best friend, Chloe, tried crossing all the oceans to make Ellen ending in her bed, crying though. It was Ellen's first time being in a relationship. She was 22 but never got herself a boyfriend. After the death of her parents, she distanced herself from everyone. The only friend she had was Chloe. She was always worried for her innocent friend, still, she wanted her to experience new colours of life. That's when Ellen got agreed and accepted the proposal of a boy where Chloe worked.

Meanwhile, grim made a perfect landing behind Ellen, as quiet as the word silent itself.

"You cheater! I hate you! I don't wanna live!!", the grim reaper cracked a smile upon hearing Ellen.

"Another heartbreak. There are over millions of examples of heartbreaks in the history of humans. Why don't they learn and stop falling into a relationship that is more likely to hurt them than making them happy for the rest of their lives? Such a foolish of a creation", he thought.

"Couldn't be any more amazing. Already willing to die." A mocking smile crept its way to grim's lips as he proceeded towards Ellen.
