6 Chapter 6: the beginning of the long road of cultivation

"HUH! You have a sacred affinity with fire? And enlightenment with wind and lightning! My son's a genius!" Carmella said as hugged Umbra. Clovis and the others looked shocked however Inferno was nowhere to be seen as he was put into solitary for a week for starting a fight in front of his brother who hasn't started cultivation yet. He got off lucky compared to Ide who was in there for a month for injuring Umbra and almost injuring Isis. "Can you let go of me mother, I'm suffocating." The moment Umbra said this Carmella let go and said "Come I need to tell you something in private" she said pulling away Umbra from the rest of the family who were still shocked.

"Clovis you as well! Follow me!" Carmella called and Clovis snapped out of his shock and chased after them both. They entered Umbra's room as it was the closest to where they were previously. Carmella stretched out her hand touched the wall. "This is something that you should not tell anyone apart from your children not even your father knows this I've sound proofed the room for a reason. This is the tragic history of my family… your family. Thousands of years ago a dragon lord gave our ancestor his bloodline and before this dragon lord died he split his inheritance into 5 parts he gave one to our ancestor and spread the other four across the continent and a spirit that will also give the finder of the piece of the inheritance the bloodline of the dragon lord and the fact that there are 4 other piece before he became the true inheritor and successor of the dragon lord and his bloodline. With the power of the bloodline our ancestor became a pinnacle expert and started a family of power houses and each person with the blood line had a single child until 1000 years ago when the a woman gave birth to twins each with the blood line. This caused a conflict to see who will become the real successor of the family. One lost and disappeared from the continent and presumed dead, until 50 years ago when a there were another set of twins when both were 10 years old the mother who had a the inheritance piece split it in two again gave one to her daughter and one to her son, after she did this her cultivation fell from the void realm to the sky realm and this notified the brother that lost 50 years prier who had a deep connection to the bloodline as he had also found another piece of the inheritance and he returned and destroyed the family looking for the other piece he could not clam long ago. However just before he killed the two children their mother pushed them through a portal with the last of her power bringing both children to this city. That man is still looking for me and your uncle Odia. This is why you must not tell anyone. He will hunt you down and kill you to get the inheritance. He however cannot find you if you do not split the inheritance. So I am going to give you Umbra this piece of the inheritance when you reach the peak of the origin level as the same as Odia when his daughter reaches the peak of the origin level. Clovis I am telling you this as I find it important that a person knows about their family's background and if any of your children are able to cultivate they need to know this as they have the bloodline of the dragon lord and to look out for that man as everyone with the dragon lord's bloodline with have a target on his back by all of the inheritors as the either have the another piece of the inheritance or will lead to the one who does have it." Carmella looked serious. Umbra was shocked. He didn't really have a need to cultivate seriously as he didn't have a goal to achieve but now he doesn't have a choice he needs to cultivate and get as strong asap cause if he didn't he would be hunted and killed by powerful people and they would hurt his brother just to get to him.

The next day Umbra woke up early and started refining his body he had to break through quickly. Suddenly there was a knock on his door. He got up and opened the door and there was his farther "Come you missed breakfast but you must not lose lunch as well. Eating food is a must when you are refining your body, come I have a special meal ready you must eat it all." His father said. Now that his farther pointed it out he was pretty hungry no he was completely famished, he wanted to eat the world. When he got to where his father led him there was a table filled with 1st level magical beasts. The room too was boiling hot. "You are not allowed one step out of this room until you break through into the soul cleansing realm." Alex said as he closed the door. "Only somebody who has broken through into the soul cleansing realm can open this door."

"Farther why are you treating him so differently, you even allowed me to leave for a day every time I broke through. Why are you being so tough on him?" Cinder asked and he looked at his daughter lovingly "His mother asked me help him get to the peak of the origin realm as quickly as possible. Even if she didn't ask, I would still do this as he has a higher talent than all of you but I feel he lacks motivation, I don't want him to become a person who only relies on his talent but I want him to work hard, as hard as those commoners who need to cultivate to get into those sects and provide for their family, because when he does he will reach the apex of cultivation in his life time and die without the words 'if only I' in his head." Alex replied.
