2 Before it begins

It had been three years since she left the mansion... and she never felt so free. She was traveling around the world to experience the magnificent wonders that took place in different countries: hot Vietnamese pho, fluffy Belgian waffles, and fun Ghanaian jollof rice. She had also dabbled in the taste of many exotic men as well. However, that was another story to tell.

She was in the city of romance, lazily reclining on a chair. Her hair was swaying along with the cold wind, and the sound of her monstrous snores was heard on the busy streets.

It was an interesting sight to see by many city dwellers. A young man riding a crepe cart was especially stunned by the women's unladylike behavior. However, he quickly ignored the horrendous noise and passed the women to reach the other side of the bustling street.

After the man had passed her, she immediately opened her eyes. She then started to sniff around like a dachshund, trying to locate the buttery aroma that invaded her nose. With a deep inhale, she was able to find the cart.

She quickly grabbed her phone and wore her purple sandals, scurrying after the man.

She quickly chased the small dessert cart on the busy streets, as her stomach rumbled. She was in dire need of food and wanted to taste the delicious crepe. She dodged many businesspeople, street vendors, and dogs with large bows that crowded the road.

However, the young man that was riding the cart did not realize a determined lady was following him. So when he stopped to the spot he reserved, he wouldn't expect to see the sleeping lady to hit her head on his metal cart.

*THUD*

She laid on the cold ground in a daze, as many stars were circling her head. The man frightenedly jumped off the bike and apologized furiously. At the end of all the madness, the young man compensated her with two large crepes filled with endless ingredients.

She smiled gleefully, as she took a bite out of her treat while walking back to her abode... until her phone rung.

*RING Ring ring*

Her phone screeched in the mid-day air, causing her peaceful mood to be ruined. She juggled the two crepes in her hands to retrieve the loud phone from her denim jeans. She looked at her glowing mobile device to see her talented life long friend, Eden.

She swiped to answer the phone call, but before she could say 'Hello,' Eden yelped in anger. "You said you would call me back last night!" she fumed.

Eden's loud yelp made her flinch, as her eardrum burst into a fine powder. Eden naturally had a loud voice, but every time she spoke, it would cause her pain. How can a voice reach such pitch to cause damage?

"I just woke up Eden," she elegantly stated while licking the cream off of her delicate fingers. "It's the afternoon in Europe, Amelia. Most old ladies like us would be awake by now." She snickered over the phone.

"We are only 36" Amelia rolled her eyes.

"Exactly. 36 is very old, especially in MY field of work " Eden hummed. Eden was a famous musical actress. When she first started her career, her looks alone shook the industry.

She instantly became a household name, but keeping her fame throughout the years was difficult... especially these days. Many youthful and ambitious ladies came rapidly in the industry, as technology did wonders for those young girls.

Therefore, Eden had to work even harder to maintain her status among the sea of talent. Looks, skill, and a "nice" personality were not good enough anymore.

"So, what do you want to talk about Eden," Amelia spoke, knowing that she had something important to say.

Eden anxiously cleared her throat. She was worried about Amelia's reaction when she was going to talk about her "return."

Amelia was easily angered when she mentioned her "past life." The last time she spoke about home, Amelia blocked her phone number for two months! For a whole two months, she wasn't able to reach her sweet Amelia.

Thus, she decided to approach the stubborn bull cautiously. "A lot of things are happening... I think you need to come back home," Eden softly spoke.

Eden quietly awaited for Amelia's reply, but after five minutes, Eden's patience wore thin. She erupted like a volcano.

"Amelia. You can't run away forever. No matter how far you run, the problem is still going to be there. There are so many things that need your attention right now!" Eden roared.

Eden was bursting with firey rage, and impending destruction was going to happen. If Amelia were going to ignore her, then she would have to listen to her severe scolding.

"Amelia, you are so STUBBORN. I can't-"

*BEEP Beep beep*

"Did she just hang up on me?!" Eden screamed.
