Chapter Two

Today is my Birthday 18th that is. You would not believe how excited I am. How excited I am to finally meet my wolf, Alsie. Where are my manners Hi I am Aryah Dawn Jacobs and yes as you can tell I am a werewolf? We do not shift until our 18th birthday and then we can find our mates. Not to lie but I am scared to meet my mate people in this pack are all about titles. I am an omega lowest in the rank. I fear he may reject me for what I am.

I am an omega of the Harvest Moon pack third strongest pack in the world. Alpha Jack and Luna Ariel run our pack. Luna sounds really nice I only hear stories I have never got to meet her I would like to I just feel drawn to her. I have only seen her from afar. I do not know why but anytime Alpha Jack sees me he looks like he is disgusted by me. I stay clear of him. Anyone to defy him gets the worst kinds of punishment.

I step out of my shower getting ready for my day. I put on a pair of black ripped high-waisted skinny jeans and a white flowing crop top still covering my stomach. I am not self-conscious I just respect my body, unlike some girls. As I blow-dry my hair letting my black wavy locks lay on my hips, I hear a knock on the door. I answer it to see my lovely mother standing there with a cake for me singing happy birthday. I love hearing her voice I must get it from her people like my singing, so they say but my mother has the best voice. "Happy birthday baby I love you so much." "Thank you, mama, you're the best." I hugged her tightly knowing she was afraid if I met my mate, I would have to leave I was all she had and she was all I had. Dad died before I was born according to my mother.

No matter where I went, I would always visit or bring her with me I mean she is, my mom. "So, what're your plans for your birthday dear?" "Karlee and I are going to the mall, then back here for movies until my shift.'' "That sounds lovely dear I know you don't like big parties. I'll be there for your shift but will give you ladies the house I'll stay in study mind link me when you start ok." She said as she kissed my head. "Thank you, mama." I hugged her and headed out to meet up with Karlee and head to the mall.

"Hey, birthday girl!" Karlee shouted with excitement startling me in the process. 'You know I love her, but she is going to give us a heart attack one day.' Ali says with a strong tone knowing Karlee scared her too. 'I know Ali, but we love her' I giggled at her fright. "Hey, Karlee, ready to go to the mall," I say shaking my head. She nodded and we headed off. This girl is going to be the death of me.

Two hours and we are still shopping. "Come on Ry you have to get something." She said pleading. "Okay Kar but not out of this store it looks like Pepto blew up in here," I said rolling my eyes. She knows I am not a fan of pink I have four main colors I stick to, black and white are my favorite but I like purple and blue as well. We made our way to Hot topic which is a store I know carries my color.

As we were walking in the store, I heard the popular girls of the pack laughing and whispering about me. "You know her mother probably can't wait to get rid of her. She so pathetic." I heard the leader of them Shelly her name is. "Do you ever get tired of hearing your own voice?" I snapped at her she growled in response and stomped off in the distance. "If you weren't my favorite person in the world, I honestly would wonder what happened to your brain." Karlee scoffs at me. "But you know you love me." I winked at her.

After another hour I bought three outfits though she bought like fifty. We finally headed home. We were in the middle of watching Aqua man. Yes, because Jason Momoa is one sexy beast. Then all of a sudden, my body began shaking in pain. Karlee got my mother. "We need to get her outside in the woods." She said in a worried tone. They carried me to the forest and backed away. "You can do this ry just listen to your wolf don't fight it relax." I can hear Karlee trying to calm me. "Baby girl you need to relax please." I heard my mother's voice. So, I tried to relax my mind and my body.

All of a sudden, I felt my bones breaking only to reshape and snap back together. I kept my eyes snapped shut. I heard my mother and Karlee gasping at me, what was wrong? Was I deformed? Ugly? Now I cannot open my eyes. 'Ry you better open your eyes and check us out.' Ali said with pride. So, I did I opened my eyes and looked at my mother and Karlee who look like they have either seen a ghost or a superstar. Karlee took out her phone and snapped a picture and turned it to me to see. I was in shock. 'I told you we were amazing now didn't I.' Ali says with such confidence.

I was Midnight black wolf only a few in existence are some of the most powerful. My fur was jet black with a blue hue to it. It was beautiful. I heard my mother crying as she put her hands on each side of my face. "I can't hide the truth anymore my dear it is time you learn who you are."

She told me the long story as I still sat in wolf form. "Baby I am so sorry please don't hate me you are the baby girl I was sworn to secrecy, but we can't let that basted Alpha know what you are he would probably kill you. You can't tell no one either of you or we will be killed." I shifted back throwing on a long shirt my mother or adopted mother brought for me. I was in shock scared why have I hated it so much.

I knew Karlee would keep the secret she lost her parents five years ago in a battle amongst another pack. I held so much weight. I sighed, "I understand that you are my mother you raised me, and I will do as you wish but know I will not let him control my life anymore, but I will not start it if he does, I will finish it." I said with determination and pride I was the creator of my own story and that man took my birth mother from me and threw me out like garbage. He forced her to choose to either kill me or give me away how heartless can one person be. From this moment I would not hide in fear of a power-hungry Alpha I would be me and not back down to no one.
