Destruction

Magna quickly opened his eyes as he awoke with a sharp pain in his head.

"Argh why did that premonition hurt so much!"

As a member of the Kanassan race, Magna can see glimpses of the future. He recalls his latest vision, and starts to shake with fear. He looks around his room and thinks to himself 'There was so much death and destruction. We must leave the planet immediately.' Magna jumps out of his straw bed and runs out the door.

After a few minutes of running he enters the commander's room.

"Commander we must leave the planet immediately! We are all going to die soon!" Magna yelled as he gasped for breath.

"I am aware Magna, but we can't leave the planet because we must protect the creatures that can't leave. You know that it is our race's duty to protect the weak. That is why we are born with strength." The commander shook his head while speaking to Magna.

"You are right commander we must protect the weak. But how am I supposed to do that? I have only been training for a year now. I can barely even use Ki." Magna refuted.

"You are correct Magna you aren't strong enough yet. We must make sure that you survive. I will arrange for a ship to take you to a safe planet far away from here. It should be ready soon until then I have one more lesson I must teach you. Follow me Magna." the commander said while turning.

Magna followed the commander into a room he had never been to before. As he walked inside Magna saw many training dummies and a pool for underwater training.

"What is this place?" Magna questioned.

"It is my personal training room. Since I am soon to die I will let you use it for today only. I have a Ki technique that I must teach you."

"What is the technique commander?" Manga eagerly asked.

"It is our race's strongest attack. But it is extremely difficult to master. It took me twenty years just to be able to do it somewhat correctly. I can only use it at half its original power and I can only do it once before my Ki is drained."

Suddenly, a large amount of Ki gathered on the forehead of the commander. After ten seconds the commander released the built up Ki in a large blast that obliterated three of the metal training dummies.

"That was incredible! To think that it is only half of the mastered power." Magma exclaimed with a large smile on his fish-like face.

"Now let's begin training."the commander said while taking a seat, exhaustion setting in from using the technique.

-The next day-

"I think I am starting to get it." Magna smiled up at the commander. If one looked close enough they could see a small amount of Ki resting on Magna's forehead.

"Very good. With more training you can create a more powerful blast of Ki." Commander said as he started walking out of the room. "Our planet will be attacked tomorrow. I have a ship prepared to transport you to a different planet. You will leave after a short break today. I am glad that you have managed to learn the Ki technique. I think you should give it a name after all these years." The commander said quietly so that no one else could hear the conversation.

"I will call it cyclops beam because it shoots out of the forehead where the cyclops on our planet have their eye." Magna exclaimed.

"A fine name indeed. Not we must make haste to the ship. Follow me, quickly." the commander stated while walking towards the door. After Magna and the commander left the room they made their way to the spaceship dock.

"Here is the ship you will be taking. It has its destination set into the command center. Make sure to not hit any buttons because it could mess with the navigation. I wish you a safe journey. Goodbye." the commander smiled at Magna.

Magna entered the ship and pushed a large green button to turn on the command center.

"Destination preset. Starting course for planet Gelbo. Estimated time until arrival is one month." a robotic voice blared out of a speaker on the command center.

The door to the ship closed as its engines started. It launched off the ground with great speed until all the buildings were but tiny specs in Magna's view.

"Goodbye home planet, goodbye my friends, and goodbye commander." Magna whispered while a small tear fell down his cheek.
