2 The Struggles of the Weak
Xu Shao wanders off, aimlesly, from the group. Not so far away from the nest. So that he could easily back track, and retraced his footsteps, in case he went to far away or become lost.
Whilst, at the same time, he's been keeping a watchful eye of his surroundings.
He's being incredibly cautious, prepared to make any moves at a moment notice, in order to escape a perilous situation...
In the midst of his search, Xu Shao has been looking out for potential prey; small sea critters and wild sea slugs. Something that he could possibly kill with ease, and garner enough experience points to grind for levels.
He does not need to get out of his way to tend with an unavoidable prey, or fight a life and death battle, that is just plainly a death sentence.
In the middle of his hunt, searching for some potential prey, by the seashore. Xu Shao unknowingly encountered a small group of wandering Aqua Gastropoda (sea snails).
The Aqua Gastropoda were slithering around, amongst the shallow ends of the seashore. Whilst, leaving behind them, a trail of viscous yellow goo, that seemingly slowly melded with the surrounding seawaters.
It's acidic sludgy content dissolved in the seawater itself.
Xu Shao slowly crept up to one of the Aqua Gastropoda in the group, from behind, who remained stationary in place. And was in the process of breaking down its food, with its strong gastro bodily fluids, secreted outside its body, in order to make it easier for the digestion.
It was not that evenly difficult, utilising the difference in out maneuverability, between a Snail and reptile, as an advantage. It couldn't hardly be call a challenge.
He entered the Aqua Gastropoda's blind spot. With his unanticipated surprised attack, the Aqua Gastropoda did not know what happen, as Xu Shao lunged himself forward, readying his mouth open wide.
With all of his strength, he could muster up, his jawline collapses, closes, shut tight Similar to how a bear trap operates, with such ferocity and strength, that it litterally tore through the Aqua Gastropoda's flesh, like jelly, decapitating it's head off from the rest of it's body.
Upon a closer examination, as Xu Shao starts to chew on the Aqua Gastropoda's flesh, he could feel his mouth starting to go numb, a tingling sensation unravelling at the tip of his toungue.
Cutting through the soft gelatinous lump of the flesh of the Aqua Gastropoda. With each bite, further crushing the gelatinous lumps of flesh into bits, releasing the putrid stench of the concentrated stomach gastro acid of the Aqua Gastropoda hidden inside it's body.
Xu Shao's eyes became wide, almost to the point of choking on the contents of his meal. As his back throat starts to ache because of the gastro stomach acid from the Aqua Gastropoda.

Xu Shao shouted in great surprise. "Oh, how wonderful. I've managed to obtain a new skill. As well as leveling up also..."
The other Sea Snail watches in horror, as their brethren was slowly being eaten away, right before their very eyes. On instinct, as a defensive mechanism, they retract their main bodies inside of their shells for protection and waiting until their predators or hunters leave.
Then the slight sense of saltiness added with a bit of burning sensation assaulted Xu Shao's tongue. A numbing pain soon follows. The bitterness of the Sea snail's acid stench gastro fluids wants to make him throw up his meal, but he managed to somehow keep it down.
Xu Shao disgruntledly thought, 'This taste really horrible. Food is still food, despite its bad taste. There is no guaranteed that we will always find food.', muscling every bit of courage within him to finish the rest.
Xu Shao excitedly shouted in surprise, "Oh, a new skill! That is wonderful!", having felt the bloodlust growing ever the more slightly within him. He replaced the dissatisfaction of his meal, with the goal of obtaining more experience in levels and skill, as a motivation to keep going.
This sought of enraged him, leaving a bitter numbing pain within his mouth. Opening his mouth wide, he chomps on the dead Sea Snail's shell, shattering it into bits and eating it.
An idea suddenly comes up. Xu Shao said slightly surprised, "It tastes better than the prey itself?", feeling his body reinvigorated.
The taste of the Sea Snail's shell was indeed a lot better, though rather hard, it was a lot better than just eating its slimy disgusting acidic body. It leaves behind a deep bitter aftertaste in his mouth.
Xu Shao for once felt quite satisfied with his hunt, finding easy prey for level grinding. Xu Shao then continues his killing spree, killing off the remainder of the Sea Snail pact, that is still hidden withinside their shells.
They were all not able to withstand, the tremendous pressure of Xu Shao's bite. Therefore the Sea Snail's shell collapsed under the pressure, shattered, and caved in, piercing the internal body and inner organs of the Sea Snails. Leaving behind without doubt fatal injuries, possibly leading to their death shortly afterward. If it is left not treated properly.

Xu Shao said in a happyish excited tone, "Two levels in one hunt isn't that bad. I must really be lucky.", feeling quite satisfied with his first successful hunt.

Xu Shao was quite happy at the result of his hunt today, as he slowly begins to make his way back to the nest. His small stomach was filled up to the brim, that he now looks like a bloated balloon, with the meals of his recent hunt. Slowly, digesting the content, and converting it into nutrients and sustenance for his bodies own growth.

His belly was now twice the normal size of what it once was. Even bigger than anyone in his family, but that still does not change his overall size by much.
On his way back home, Xu Shao spotted one of his siblings engaged in combat, he was highly alerted. As he observed her being attacked by a large predator, roughly twice her size but is in no way in the same contender as him or Xu Kaan.
The thing is that said person is none other than Xu Reya, Xu Shao's younger sister.
And she is now struggling to fight back against the Sea Cricketeer, which is just about twice her body length, towering above her with his large needle-like claws, much like a mantis.
Slashing its claws wildly at Xu Reya's tiny figure, dealing severe damage, leaving behind deep scratch marks, and large dents within her shell. There was some blood oozing out from her wound, covering her body. She was definitely in pain, crying effortlessly for help, but nobody one came.
Xu Shao was greatly angered by this spectacle, he shouted, "How dare this insignificant worthless critter in my eyes dared to attack my family in broad daylight. Regardless of any sort of attachment or feelings for them, they are still my family.", Xu Shao then rushes forward like a mad raging bull. He recklessly slammed his large body on top of the Sea Cricketeer, added with his additional weight from him being full. It causes the Sea Cricketeer to be driven into great agony.

The impact was strong enough to daze the Sea Cricketeer, causing it to momentarily stutter, and stop its ongoing consecutive slashes on Xu Reya. Using this chance, Xu Shao then bites on the neck of the Sea Cricketeer, crushing it, and bending it out of shape. As its greenish blood ooze out, dribbling down its neck, and into his mouth.
Blood is spilled everywhere, slowly filling the Xu Shao's mouth. As he continues to apply more and more pressure, until it softly crackles, and then completely severed in half. He then begins to chew at it like it was his own food.
Experience points have reached a designated degree. The individual, Shao Lv3 has become Lv4.

Meanwhile, Xu Reya just stood there from the side, still, a bit dazed because of the pain, but remains quiet. She was unmoving. As if in shock, she witnessed in awe at the might of how strong and brave her older brother Xu Shao is. Despite his quiet nature and antisocial behavior around others.
He was still quite caring for his family at the very least. Even if it is minimal in at least.
Xu Shao is now dominating the competition, currently possessing an aura of indifference about him, that nobody could be compared with. Something that is not like Xu Kaan's undoubtful arrogance and pride.
Something much more admirable..
