2 Chapter Two

Sitting at a small roadside stall, Qiong Lian happily munched down on the several different types of baozi steam buns.

Mm-mm-mm! So-so-so delicious!

The streets were occupied by several NPC who were bustling outside. Although it wasn't late in the night, the streets didn't seem to settle down as everyone continued with their business.

Qiong Lian leisurely browsed through the game marketplace, buying any beautiful costumes she saw.

En, this in-game leech engine never seems to not amaze her.

She cashed out on an adorable yellow hanfu that was decorated with several white flowers.

En, really too kawaii-desu ne!

Excitedly squealing in her heart, she continued to shop, not minding the NPC that was staring at her as if she had lost her mind. 'Uncle, please another ten portions of pork buns!~.'

Hearing this the stall keeper nearly floored, learning this young girl asked for extras caused him to look at her up and down.

Didn't her family feed her any food, ah? She was going to eat all his stock away! However, thinking about the fact that she had enough money to pay for it, he got to work and began to steam more buns.

-Ding!~

Mission rescue Ren Jia complete. Please view the inventory for rewards.-

Hearing the pinging sound, Qiong Lian quickly closed down the marketplace window.

Touching the black ring on her finger, she looked at the details listed on the hologram.

En, one hundred and fifty soul-stones.

Goodness, doesn't this mean she can eat at least one hundred portions of dumplings?!

Although she hadn't been so sure if her plan was going to work, she had slapped Ren Jia with a money ripping resurrection talisman earlier.

Ren Jia should've been an NPC; hence she wasn't sure if the charm would work on him.

Seeing that it was a success, Qiong Lian grinned. En, she didn't even need to sweat, and she earned money.

The kind stall keeper handed her ten more dumplings, and she joyfully accepted.

En, she'll finish this portion and log out.

She needs to go and check on the game webpage and see if there were any issues, why was it that she didn't have any main quests ah?

Plus, she was very-very sure she was in the wrong place. Stuffing down the delicious dumpling, Qiong Lian bought up the main menu before clicking on the log out button.

-Ting-

She frowned and pressed again.

-Ting-

Her eyes narrowed, her lips pursed tightly.

-Ting-

Your m*****f*****! She clenched her hair in disbelief. What the hell. Why can't she log out?! Qiong Lian felt a sudden life crisis.

Ung, maybe the log out button was stuck?

Delayed? Lagging?

Her ass! Qiong Lian swore colourfully under her breath.

Were the game developers planning to kidnap them?! Lord, where they currently shipping her physical body somewhere into a lab...

While Qiong Lian's thoughts completely went off down the dark path, a loud voice boomed through the sky.

'WHICH BASTARD DESTROYED THE LOG OUT BUTTON?!'

Qiong Lian jumped at the male voice, she looked around and realised it was only her that was shocked.

All the other NPC seemed to not have heard it.

Quickly thinking of something, she accessed the marketplace and bought one hundred of a particular product.

Retrieving a horn out of her inventory, she scanned through the small piece of instruction attached to it, then she whispered into the horn before throwing it into the sky.

'YOUR MOTHER I AM ALSO STUCK, LITTLE BROTHER WHERE ARE YOU?! LETS MEET!'

Her voice also roared in the sky.

Her question was quickly answered, and the two agreed to meet at a specific destination.

.....

Five minutes later, she stood before a bronze giant at a large lake that had been close to the store she was at previous. F*** my neck!

Qiong Lian cursed as she realised she was around the knee height of this man.

Aye, the hell what's the point of being so tall ah? Seems like the little brother became the big brother!

Bai Lei looked down at the miniature figure that he could place on one of his shoulders.

Who on earth makes themselves this small in a martial arts game? Was she planning to run around and hide behind rocks or something?

How was she supposed to fight anyone being that small ah?

However, this little dumpling was really cute...really-really cute! If he hadn't known that one couldn't change their characteristics apart from weight and height in this game, he would've questioned if this person had a strange fetish.

However, seeing that the other was without a doubt a female, he let it be.

'Little sister, you also having a problem with logging out of the game?'

Qiong Lian hearing the pleasant voice of this man narrowed her eyes.

En, this rich-sounding voice really sounded strange coming from such a giant ah!

Qiong Lian nodded her head, she looked away from him. Looking up really was hurting her neck, ah!

'My name is Bai Lei, what's little sister's name?'

'Qiong Lian,' she answered as she looked at the several NPC who was sitting around or paddling the boats for no reason, really how were they staying at 100% health when working non-stop like that?

Bai Lei went silent for a while as he looked in the direction she was looking.

Qiong Lian?

He frowned, why did she have the name of that teen genius person back in M country?

But, for someone like her, would she really be playing a VR game? Shaking his head at the thought, he smiled before looking at the mass of black hair below him probably just a fan of hers or just the same name situation.

Thinking of something Qiong Lian looked up at the giant that had a massive axe strapped on his back, 'big brother Bai, did you start your game at Mount Silver Edge Academy?'

Hearing her question Bai Lei frowned before shaking his head, 'the beginning of the game starts at Blackhollow Reach. Why is little sister Qiong asking this?'

En, yes, she knows ah. Then why was she thrown into the river at Mount Silver Edge Academy?

'En, I started my game at Mount Silver ah.' She sighed with emotion, she had sensed a severe premotion when the screen had glitched at 99%. Seems like her intuition was correct! Luck! Just her fortune, ah! Really unlucky to the extreme.

Bai Lei was surprised when he heard this.

Don't joke with him, what starts the game at Mount Silver. Little miss, you're already OP okay? Your realm is so high it's in the '???' column ah! Players who are lower in cultivation realm than others couldn't view those who are higher-level realms.

En, he was already at cap level, had already finished his end game content. Already achieved the max level equipment stats possible, so why the hell was this person in the '???'

Bai Lei was silent as his lips twitched, was this little miss silently bragging? But seeing the striking 'Level 1' against the '???' he really had nothing to say. What pure luck was it that allows one to achieve that?

'En,' he really had no words to express his emotions at current. Dog luck! Complete dog luck, ah!

Suddenly the moon was blocked by a massive black shadow. Looking up Qiong Lian blinked at the enormous disgusting looking wet octopus that was floating in the sky.

That's a mount? This game had this kind of mount?! Qiong Lian trembled and repeatedly quivered as she looked at the disgusting thing.

'Big brother Bai, tell me that isn't a giant eight-armed species that are supposed to be in the sea?'

Bai Lei pursed his lips as he looked at the monster, 'en, Octolus Clan. Seems like they're here for my head, ah.'

He grinned as he felt a rush of excitement, they actually bought their clan's guardian this time, seems like they're serious in wanting that ten thousand gold reward ah!

Hearing this Qiong Lian clenched her teeth, give her spiders, giver her rats but f*** off with those slimy things!

Feeling herself wanting to wretch up the dumplings she crouched down, 'big brother Bai, if you're fighting can you do it somewhere else. Really can't stomach it!'

However, without giving time for Bai Lei to reply, the giant crashed down into the water, causing all boats to overturn and a massive wave to hit the shore.

Qiong Lian who had managed to finally dry off earlier: ...
