1 Prologue

Lions work in prides commonly consisting of one male and multiple females. The male lion will breed with each of the women there and both male and female cubs are born, but at any point if the male lion feels that his dominance is threatened - including by his male cubs- he will kill the cubs to mate with the mother again, as a show of dominance and vitality. Lions don't stay in one place for too long and the male actually does nothing when it comes to raising the cubs and finding food. Female lions, or lioness' will do the hunting and the raising, most of the time with multiple cubs and more than two females to help.

Wolves on the other hand, are very family oriented and the male wolves will mate to one other wolf for life. When it comes to offspring, the cubs are taken care of by both mom and dad, and dad will even hunt for the food for both his mate and his cubs. A pack normally consisted of family, the two mated wolves and then the cubs, however when it comes to shifter wolves, or werewolves, if you will, a pack will consist of one family to a whole community.

Both of these shifters, wolves and lions alike, have their instincts to follow, and their natural nature is evident in even their partial human life. However this can be disrupted through a multitude of things. Whether it be a supernatural wind or a natural thing, everything can affect them.

This is the story of Skylar Anderson; The Anomaly, a blend of feline and K9.

In the beginning the Moon Goddess had created shifters, of all sorts. She worked with who human pray to as God in order to create these beings with the same sorts of feelings and appearances so they could fit in with humans. In doing this however, she felt that because they would be able to shift into an animal, that they should have something to look forward to in life. Because this shifting ability is both a blessing and curse to have. God had compromised and told her that she could do this with one of the species she created but only one, and the moon Goddess chose wolves. In the creation of wolf shifters there was the creation of a destined partner. These would soon be known as mates to the shifters.

Mates were a sacred thing and there was only one for each wolf. It was said that when you found your mate your wolf would be ecstatic and that you would feel a bond immediately, even if the other person was not a wolf shifter. The Moon Goddess made it so that a wolf shifter could be mated with any species, even with a human should they be the right person to her creation.
