A Wolf's Den

I couldn't tell you how long I stood there staring at the gorgeous male in front of me. I stood up completely and shifted on my hind legs, unsure what I was supposed to say or how I was supposed to respond. His green eyes glimmered hesitantly as he watched me. He nodded slightly before speaking. "I hope that you'll feel comfortable shifting for me, but I won't ask you to give up the advantage of being in your current form. I just want you to hear me out, as its obvious that you are very unaware of what we are, together that is."

I suddenly felt a wave of guilt rush over me, realizing that I was still intimidating him and overpowering him when he didn't pose any sign of danger. I whined a little and laid down, not comfortable enough to shift and reveal myself completely but also comfortable enough to put some trust in him. The smile that he gave me when he realized my intentions made me melt, he made me feel like a house cat who had just been given the best dinner in the world. I didn't even realize I was purring quietly until Derek had chuckled softly, my eyes widening slightly as my body inched forward instinctively.

"Okay, okay kitty cat. Can we go to my place first, this way we're not out in the open and I'm not naked?" Derek softly pleaded to me and I stood up, glancing over what I could see of his body before hesitantly nodding. I turned around to grab my backpack and when I looked back, an excited wolf took place of Derek's toned human body. He slowly leaned forward, attempting to grab my backpack from my mouth. I hissed low until I saw the look he gave me. I dropped the back pack and stepped back from it, easily giving in to the alpha. He took and happily sauntered off, looking back every thirty seconds to make sure I was following.

As we neared his lands, the smell of wolves became almost too intense. I paused my moving, Derek almost immediately stopping with me. He nudged his head towards the path and eyed me. I hesitated and stepped forward, slowly beginning to walk into uncharted territory. Derek didn't begin walking again until we were side to side, close enough where our bodies touched with each muscle movement. As we came through the trees, wolves in wolf and human form stared. I pressed myslf against Derek in a slight panic, my ears and tail lowering as they grabbed the children and pushed them away from my body. Shielding their eyes from me. It made me nervous, they were hiding the kids so they didn't see when they tore me apart, limb from limb. Derek suddenly growled through the bookbag he was holding and every wolf averted their gaze from me, even went back to what they were doing.

After that Derek didn't stop until he got inside the mansion that was centered in the large plot of land. He shifted into his human form and a sting of jealousy hit me when I noticed hopeful eyes looking at Derek's amazing body. I had the overwhelming feeling that he was a prized possession for just me, yet I knew that was preposterous and yet I couldn't help the thought.

He had quickly put on sweats though,  which both satisfied and disappointed some Part of me. He looked back at Me with some sort of fondness before letting out a soft sigh. "Okay, we'll go to my room, then hopefully you'll shift and we can actually talk."

As he was speaking he was leading the way upstairs, my eyes watching the single chandelier in the foyer and the marble walls dance with the light. Before I had realized it, I was inveloped in his scent, the musk seeping off everything in the room. My ears flicked back and I closed my eyes, nearly purring at the smell invading me. When I opened my eyes again, Derek was staring at me from a distance, holding a door open. He motioned towards the door and I hesitantly walked forward, looking through the door he was holding open to see a well lit yellow-tone bathroom with a huge tub and shower. I looked back at the bedroom which was a wooden theme, cherry wood bed frame and gorgeous wood flooring with a beige cream colored walls. This was not at all what I thought a wolf's den would be.
