5 Chapter 5

It was only a D-class and had to use half its strength. Sighing, I doubt I could kill the next class. But it didn't matter. His goal was not to kill mutants, but to study them. With that in mind, her mood improved and she quickly crouched very close to the mutant studying his face and open neck. His face was extremely terrifying and repulsive. The smell of rot was increasing, some people were even heard vomiting. Paying no attention to the others, Yu turned his attention back to the dead mutant. Fearing that the dagger could damage the tissues, he put the daggers on the ground and slowly brought his hands to the part of the neck to open it and look, but before he could reach such an action someone's voice interrupted his thoughts.

"My, my ... I didn't know you had that fetish" a seductive voice rose up in the field, waking all the recruits from horror as they watched Yu. Even the instructor, had been left in a trance by Yu's actions. It was no wonder, because he had never expected that, on the first day of training, a frail-looking young man had actually killed a mutant. And not only that, but he began to play with the skin with an expression of good humor, which even sent a chill down his spine.

If it weren't for the intruder's voice, it had been frozen there until the soldier finished playing with the mutant's body.

As if candy had been taken from him, he was in a bad mood, but he didn't show it. Yu got up and looked at the person who spoke to him. Although, the truth is that he had to thank him, since he had been so absorbed in his research; that, if it weren't for the androgynous person, he had performed a scene unpleasant to the eyes of others. They could even have locked him up as a psychopath, since no one knew he was a scientist, they could mistake him for a madman. If he butchered the body, they would surely lock him up.

"I just wanted to confirm what the instructor said. I wanted to see where the windpipe you mentioned was, since in the future we will have to fight with these monsters. I wanted to be careful, "Yu replied calmly. He cast a quick glance at the man next to the androgynous person, but quickly withdrew his eyes and turned to pose again on the androgynous person.

"Oh? So what is that? If you hadn't explained yourself, I almost think you were having fun with the mutant. "This time Yu didn't reply. It had already been explained and he was really lazy to argue with him.

He turned to the instructor, "Sub-Lieutenant, I've already killed the mutant." With the arrival of the two guests, Taylor had been momentarily stunned.

Taylor didn't know who the two people were, but he was sure they were distinguished guests. He did not know if they were political or military, as they were dressed in civilian clothes, but he had been strictly instructed to offer the utmost respect for both of them and especially the man with black hair. "Well, you can retire to have your lunch," he ordered.

Once he finished speaking, he went directly to the two men. His heart pounded a little at the sight of the androgynous man and when his gaze reached Claude, he flinched. His brows wrinkled from the pressure and the sense of danger running through every pore of his skin. He did not even realize the beauty of Claude, since fear had overshadowed any other feeling, that he did not even dare to look at him. He kept his eyes on the ground and saluted respectfully.

"Sub-Lieutenant Taylor salute, sir. I am at your service"

"We need three recruits for tomorrow," Keith replied with his usual smile.

"May I know if they have any specific characteristics?" Taylor asked cautiously.

"No, just pick any one. Oh by the way, think about it, because I don't think they'll be able to come back again. "A cold air settled on Taylor's back. With a serious face, he nodded to the orders.

When the two men left the training ground, Taylor breathed again. With a sad look he lowered his head.

He was sorry for these young people, but such a request was not something new. When a sacrifice was needed, they always chose the new recruits, as he could not easily afford to lose the soldiers who passed the test and have a badge. All those who passed the tests, signified the recognition of their strength. It wasn't easy to go from being a conscript to being a corporal, just to reach the lowest level with military insignia, it took a year of training and managing to face three D-class mutants at the same time. They are assets that the military was not willing to sacrifice.

Over the years, Taylor had hardened his heart, but he couldn't help but sigh and feel sorry. When they gave these orders, it meant that he needed to pick the three worst recruits from the base.

"Sub-Lieutenant, isn't it better to leave this decision to Lieutenant Brown?" The wizard suggested upon seeing their leader in that state. Taylor shook her head.

"They need it early tomorrow, and I was the only one who has taught them so far. With this period of time, you should already know which are the worst recruits. The captain will not allow negligence. That is why the guests came to me. If the lieutenant chooses it, they will not be judged on their aptitude, but will choose based on their complexion "he sighed.

"Do you already have the objectives in mind, leader?" Taylor nodded. At that moment when the second lieutenant spoke to his assistant, he was witnessed by a person who quickly hid from listening to the conversation. He had casually passed through the training area to find a dart that he had lost, but I never expected to hear Instructor Taylor's talk with his subordinate. With a malicious smile he withdrew from the field. The man was lucky to have arrived a few minutes late, because otherwise, his luck would be different. Eavesdropping from his superior was heavily punished depending on the matter. But in this case it didn't matter what it was, even if it was a trifle, as long as Claude or Keith was the spied superior, he was not going to escape death. With the years of experiences, of those two, they had their senses very sharp and refined. Any presence was immediately discovered. That was why Walker had been saved from certain death.

In the office, the Sub-lieutenant unfolded a small sheet and wrote the identification of three people. After finishing, he immediately called one of the soldiers guarding the door, since his assistant was not there at the time.

"Give this paper to the captain," he ordered and the soldier obeyed immediately.

The moment the soldier left the office, Walker came out of hiding and followed him. "Brother Jone" she called him with a smile. The previously serious soldier, on his way to carry out his order, stopped and smiled at the caller.
