4 Chapter 3

When Vius woke up in the morning, he glanced around the room and started panicking. He had accidentally slept in Myra's room!

Trying to softly untangle himself from the still sleeping Myra, he quickly got out of the room. He hoped against all odds that Mami would still be asleep, only to bump into the person he was trying to avoid as he got out of the room.

Merissa stood outside the small room. When she woke up in the morning and saw Vius' empty bed, she more or less guessed that the young boy would be in the small room.

Her eyes pierced into Vius, making him feel guilty. He knew that their mami did not like it when he was too close to Myra but he couldn't help but want to protect his little sister. Especially when she was screaming out in pain in the middle of the night.

"I have no excuse." Vius readily admitted his fault, his head lowered to the ground in shame.

"I'm glad that you're still conscious of your wrongdoing." Merissa glared at the young boy. She ten made her way into the kitchen to make breakfast.

Vius could only make his way to his bed. After cleaning up the bedding, he quickly went to the kitchen to help out his mami, trying to pacify her.

Merissa quietly accepted his help. She knew that there was no point in being angry at her son for long.

Breakfast was soon ready with two pairs of hand doing the job. Bard immediately woke up at the smell of food.

As he made his way into the kitchen table, he couldn't help but notice how early the day still was.

"Breakfast is early today. Do we have something planned for the morning?" Bard offhandedly asked as he sat on a chair, ready to dig in.

"Well, I woke up to find a rat in a place he shouldn't be in." Merissa said pointedly.

Vius could only quietly make his way to his seat. Bard glanced at his wife and son, obviously understanding the hidden meaning behind her words.

They are their breakfast in silence, each of them lost in their own thoughts.

At this time, Chen Mimi had already awaken. She smelled the food since awhile ago and her stomach started growling. However, after recovering the memories of Myra yesterday, she knew it was not a good idea to step out of the room.

Chen Mimi couldn't help feel cynical. What if she hadn't gotten Myra's memory? She would probably have went out to demand breakfast.

She didn't know how to feel. On one hand, she felt sad to know about the how Myra has been living these past few months. But at the same time, she was thankful to know what to and what not to do.

Soon enough, Vius finished his meal. He quickly went to wash his plate before stuffing some of the food on a new plate and bringing it to the small room.

"Myra... It's time for breakfast."
