Chapter 4: the Trial Part 1

3rd pov

Sitting down on the sleeping bag he was given, Weiss was in her nightgown ignoring the look or lust or jealousy from the other people around her in favor of the book she has been reading ever since it had randomly appeared on her scroll.

Weiss: Maybe I should see if a virus did come with it.

Genesis: I'm sure its fine, doesn't seem that a book like this would carry one.

Weiss just looked up from her scroll to see Genesis was floating above her while eating a bag of chips, now she usually would jump from him appearing out of no where but he is starting to get you use to it. Putting her scroll down she decided to ask some questions about her friend since she never really got a good chance.

Weiss: Hey genesis, do you think you could answer a question of mine?

Genesis: I do not see why I can't.

Weiss: alright then if you are a ghost as you say can't aura based attacks harm you?

Genesis: Hmm that is a good question.... but I do not see why it couldn't, after all you are using your soul to create aura.

It was at this moment Genesis felt as if he had messed up badly when he had said that, but he shrugged his shoulders thinking that he was being too paranoid but he could add to the list to learn how to dodge.

Weiss: I see.... do you think I could try to?

Genesis: Go right ahead, I do also wish to know if I can touch someone if they channel their aura.

Nodding her head Weiss had decided to just coat her hand in a thin layer of aura that wouldn't be noticeable before she had slowly reached out her hand towards Genesis head. Once her hand was close to his head, Weiss quickly latched her hand onto his head and was surprised to feel his hair.

Weiss: Soft....

Running her hand through his hair, she didn't have to worry about a student looking at her in confusion since she had decided to pick a corner that had put a good amount of space between them.

Genesis: Oh so that is how you generate your aura?

Genesis was looking towards Weiss hand with a look of interest, he could see how her soul was moving a apart of it's energy into her hand which is allowing her to touch him. This was an interesting development since this could be what he was looking for..... also it may have to do with the fact he is getting a head pat but that is a different case.

Weiss: Hey what are you do-

Weiss was confused when Genesis was suddenly channeling a small amount of energy around his hand like she had done but was slowly spreading the energy into the air around the hand,

Genesis: So this is how much I can form..... interesting.

Right now in Genesis was a tennis ball worth of water which is small compared to what he has seen other water benders can do but he had known what a small amount of water could do to a single opponent.

Weiss: How can you do that!?

Genesis: I am just channeling energy in the air to gather the water particles in the air and I think....

Looking at the ball of water he started to make it turn into shapes, at first the shapes were barely able to be called shapes but soon the ball was shaping into different shapes faster and faster.

Weiss: Impossible....

Weiss was shocked and scared of what she was seeing, What genesis was doing should take a regular human that has a water controlling semblance months to master. The reason why is usually takes months to learn is because the body puts limits on ones aura and semblance in order for it to not destroy the body, and to destroy these limits the person has to train the body to handle this flux of energy.

Weiss: and since he is dead...

This is why she is scared, Since he is dead he isn't held back by the limitations of the body. He doesn't need to worry about food or water if anything he may only need to worry about control and how much energy he has.

Genesis: I think that is enough for now!

floating towards one of the windows he opened a crack in it before slowly making the water drain through the crack until the water was gone. Once he was done he went back to Weiss who was just staring at him.

Genesis: Is there something wrong?

Weiss: No.... Just taking in what I saw.

Giggling softly Genesis just smiled when he realized why she was like this, he was wishing to talk to Weiss more but he notice a little red riding hood and Goldilocks coming over to where they are so he needs to hide since they could see him if they channel aura into their eyes.

Genesis: Well hope you have fun with your new friends!

Weiss: Wait wha-

Ruby: Hi Weiss!

Turning her head to see Ruby and a Blonde haired girl standing behind her, Weiss realized that this may be Ruby's sister so she relaxed a little so she doesn't seem weird.

Weiss: Uh hi there my name is-

???: Weiss right? The name is Yang!

Weiss: Uh, hello yang how do you know my-

Yang: Ah well my little sister had been telling me about you and I wanted to meet the first friend she had made here in beacon!

Weiss nodded her head in understanding but knew that their was an alternative motive, she had seen yang was giving here glances as if she was trying to see if she was trying to hide something. Most likely was just trying to make sure I wouldn't be using her sister which is understandable.

Ruby: So um Weiss I was wondering since-

Yang: Basically we were wondering if we can sleep over here with ya, you seem chill and I really don't trust sleeping in a crowd.

At that Weiss nodded her head again knowing why they wish to sleep near here, with all the men here it wouldn't be surprising that one of them may try to get a peek or two. So she decided that it would be best and see if-

Genesis: way ahead of you!

Appearing in front of the small group of ladies Genesis turned his head towards Weiss before nodding his head before turning his head back towards the group of other students. He knew how some men may act so he is going to be watching over them, besides its not like he could do anything to them like he said he could only touch someone if they are actively channeling their aura around their body and even then he is dead.

Yang: Hey uh what you staring at a guy catch your attention?

Rolling her eyes at the comment yang had gave her, she shook her head before grabbing her scroll to get back to reading her book. It seemed that they got the memo since they had quickly set their bags down before rolling out the sleeping bag they were given.

Ruby: So what book you are reading?

Weiss: Just a book a friend gave to me.

Ruby: Is it the same friend you were looking for?

Seeing her friend nod her head Ruby pouted a little knowing that she had "missed" her friends friend. Though she grew determined to meet this mysterious friend of Weiss even if said friend is only a few feet in front of her.

Yang: I see.... say is this friend of yours a student here at beacon?

Weiss froze when she heard that question, she didn't think they would try to dig deep into it but seeing genesis was motioning her to her scroll she quickly glanced over to see a small fog forming on her scroll before a message appeared.

Weiss: No he isn't... you can say that he has a special semblance that allows him to appear anywhere.

Yang: Ah I see.....

Yang had noticed that Weiss was glancing at her scroll when she spoke but had decided to keep quite about it since she seemed that she wishes to keep him a secret. But that doesn't mean she won't try later if they make it past the initiation.

Yang: Welp Im hitting the hay, Night Ruby and Weiss!

Ruby/Weiss: Night!

With that Yang was the first to go down for a name, but soon after Ruby had started to lay down before gently falling asleep leaving Genesis and Weiss to be by themselves.

Genesis: Seems that your little friend group of yours is growing.

Weiss: Yeah.... it is isn't it?

Genesis: You should go to sleep soon, unlike me you have an exam to prepare for.

Nodding her head to that Weiss put her scroll down before getting comfortable in the sleeping bag, she was about to put out the candle she had lit so her eyes don't strain too much when she reads but she didn't have too when a small gust of wind came and snuffed the flame out.

Weiss: Thanks.

Genesis: No problem, you have a good night sleep.

Slowly nodding her head she closed her eyes before she soon was carried over to the land of Morpheus, leaving Genesis alone in the room. Of course he doesn't mind it too much since it gives him time to train his bending even if the progress may not be that much.

Genesis: But I must be careful of what path I wish to train after I get to an acceptable level for water bending.....

Genesis had knew that this world will potentially have a major conflict sooner or later, if it isn't by the growing tension between the White fang and humanity then it will be humanity itself that will start this war.

Genesis: But I can only pray that they don't go into war...

Nodding his head Genesis had summoned the ball of water again before doing the same process he had done before. He knew that this may seem boring but the show has shown what one can do if one masters the aspect of water, so for now he will wait and train.....

* Time Skip*

Weiss: Wonder where Genesis went to this time?

Weiss was in front of her locker inspecting her weapon in order to make sure that nothing is in bad condition or in a area it shouldn't be, since she is going to be fighting Grimm it would bot be good if it suddenly broke.

Ruby: Hey Weiss!

Turing her head to see Ruby and Yang walking towards her, she quickly took a look at their weapons before looking towards their face again.

Weiss: Hello too you as well Ruby.

Ruby: Woah is that your weapon!?

Feeling that her hands had suddenly become lighter then before she quickly looked down to see her weapon had suddenly disappeared from her hand and into the hands of Ruby Rose. She was about to reach for it before she felt a hand appear on her shoulder making her turn her head to see Yang shaking her head to not do what she was going to do.

Yang: Sorry about this but Ruby usually gets very excited when she sees a new weapon, you can say its a quirk of hers.

Weiss: Ah.....

With this in mind they had decided to wait until Ruby had got down from her Weapon hype, it took awhile but Ruby has soon notice the stares she is getting from her friend and sister making her chuckle sheepishly.

Ruby: Hehe, sorry about that.

Weiss: No its fine, you seemed to know what you were doing so it would seem rude to interrupt you.

Nodding her head in thanks she was about to speak but suddenly the intercom had came on making everyone go quite in order to hear what it has to say.

Glynda: All who are here to take Beacon's trail please head towards the Emerald forest launching zone, All who are here to take Beacon's Trail please head towards the Emerald Forest Launching zone!

With that announcement made the intercom had shut down allowing many people to get up and start head towards the launching zone, their were signs that had lead to each launching or landing zones in order for people to not get lost.

Ruby: Well then its time!

Nodding her head slightly Weiss had started to walk with Ruby and Yang with the group of students. Though while they were walking they didn't seem to notice the pair of eyes that was following them until they were out of the eye's sight.

???: So the Heiress of the Schnee dust company is here.... great.
