11 Then There Were Three

"Are you sure we should be in here, what if it's haunted?" Naruto whispered as they made their way to Sasukes fathers' office. As Sasuke turned the corner and Naurto followed, Naruto came to a completely empty hallway. "Sassuukee Whheerree arree yyouuu?" Naruto blubbers, looking left and right. "I have come to take your soul!" Naruto hears as he tries to holdback his tears. "Thhisss issnn'tt ffunnyy Ssassukkee." Naruto says as Sasuke watches from above, Sasukes legs pinned against both sides of the wall supporting his weight. 'This is the guy that I need to help save the world?' Sasuke laughs to himself. Sasuke drops from the ceiling quietly behind Naruto and smacks him behind his head. "Ahh, please don't take my soul." Naruto screams, "Quiet you baby" Sasuke scolds. "The office is a little further away" Sasuke says as he scoots past Naruto and continues down the hallway. "There should be some wind jutus' in here" Sasuke says as he slids the office door open.

"Two, out of hundreds of jutus's, there are only two wind ones." Sasuke said looking at Naruto. "You must have an awful luck stat, you should buy yourself a rabbit's foot." "What does a rabbit's foot have to do with luck?" Naruto asks clenching the two wind justsu's to his chest. "Nevermind, we have a deal?" Sasuke asks Naruto, "Yeah, any scroll that teaches sealing I receive you can learn" Naruto says. "So, you gonna help me learn these?" Naruto asks hopefully. "Are you gonna help teach me seals?" Sasuke asks with his eyebrows raised. "I'll learn them by myself" Naruto grumbled as they made their way out of the house. "Later" they say to each other as they part ways, both heading back to their own homes.

The days pass and birthdays are celebrated, level ups come and go as Might Guy still kicks Sasukes' ass in training. "It is finally here, the last day of the academy," Sasuke says as he sits up from bed, looking at the calendar that has a giant red circle over the days date. "Know the three jutus, transformation substitute and clone jutsu, Check. Able to throw ninja kunais' and hit shit, Check. Can I kick ass and take names in taijutsu? Double Check," Sasuke yells pumping himself up for the last test he will take at the academy.

Sasuke jogs closer to the ninja academy and he sees Naruto sitting outside looking pale. "What has got you looking like you have seen a ghost?" Sasuke asks as Naruto remains silent. After a few minutes, "I don't know if I can pass" Naruto says breaking the quiet. Sasuke looking Naruto up and down, "Stand up Naruto." Sasuke says, "Look at how tall you are" Sasuke says looking down at the malnourished Naruto, "Look at the muscles you have on your arms" Sasuke says while pointing at Narutos' skinny arms. "You got this" Sasuke says as Naruto puffs at his chest, "Yeah I got this!" Naruto echos as they walk into the academy.

"Fail" Naruto whispered to himself, "I can't believe I didn't pass." Naruto says as he bitterly looks at the headband in Sasukes' hand. "Quick, go talk to the teachers and see if there is some extra credit you can do." Sasuke says as they turn a corner in the academy and bump right into Mizuki. "Ah, just the person I was looking for," Mizuki says as he looks at Naruto, "let us talk about the test performance you displayed and how we can fix it" Mizuki ordered as he grabbed Naruto and walked away. 'Maybe he took my advice and bought a rabbits' foot afterall.' Sasuke says to himself watching Naruto dragged away.

"I thought Iruka was going to die last night, then I dogpiled Mizuki with hundreds of clones." Naruto bellows as he finished his story to Sasuke as they sat down in the classroom for the last time. "Wow, congrats on passing in the weirdest way" Sasuke says, "Show me that clone jutsu later, ok." Sasuke says as Naruto flashes a big grin and a bigger nod. Iruka walks into the classroom with his arm in a sling, and bandages covering his face. "You weren't kidding, he looks like he got beat badly." Sasuke whispers to Naruto. "It is my pleasure for the last time to be able to speak to you all as a teacher. Today I will be naming your teammates and your sensei. Team Seven will be, Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki. Your Johin sensei will be Kakashi Hatake. Team Eight, Shino Aburame, Hinata Hyuga and Kiba Inuzuka. Your Johin sensei will be Kurenai Yuhi. Team Ten, will be Choji Akimichi, Shikamaru Nara and Ino Yamanaka. Your Johin sensei will be Asuma Sarutobi." Iruka finished reading off of the clipboard in his hands, waved goodbye and left the classroom.

As the classroom started to shuffle and begun to reorganizing as teams. Sakura walked up to where Sasuke and Naruto sat, she grabbed Naruto by the collar and pulled him to the ground. She walked over Naruto and sat right next to Sasuke. "Hi" she said to Sasuke, "my name is Sakura but I someday want my full name to be Sakura Uchiha. It has a nice ring to it, right?" she said as Sasuke's mouth was hung open and his brain trying to play catch up with the conversation. Right as he was about to respond, he saw one of the hottest women walk into the classroom. "Wow" Sasuke said as Sakura followed his eyesight and saw him looking at a women wrapped in bandages, black hair and piercing red eyes. "Team Eight with me" she said as she walked out the classroom as her three students quickly caught up to her. As Sasuke turned back to Sakura "Look like that one day and we will talk about that name change." A man walked in smoking a cigarette "Team Ten" and walked out, as only Ino quickly rushed after him, the other two, leisurely made their way outside the class. "Then there were three" Sasuke said quietly as they began their long wait for a man named Kakashi.
