6 Stomachs Power

Sasuke woke up lying on the ground his face stained with dried tears, as he looked around he could see the sun starting to come up. "It's dawn" Sasuke muttered out loud, 'I need to find a place that doesn't remind me of death' he deliberated with himself. Sasuke lifted his sore body off the ground and began his search for somewhere in this giant complex he could make a home. Wondering in and out of the streets he finally came to a large round building. 'Looks like a town hall' he thought as he pushed open the doors and arrived in what he could only assume to be a reception room. He walked past the couches lining the wall and behind the desk that was in front of him. He started to search through the file cabinet next to the desk looking for anything close to a residential listing. As he gingerly moved his fingers from file to file he finally spotted at one labeled 'directory.' He took out the file and begun leafing through the information. His finger that started at the top of the page and slowly started moving to the bottom, pacing over every family residence. As the finger was reaching the bottom he found what he was looking for 'Visiting Dignitary Guest House' it was located towards the back of the compound, close to a large lake he stumbled upon only moments after waking up.

He reached it, his new home. Sasuke walked up to the small one story house and slid open the door and entered the room looking around. He noticed two couches facing each other with a table in the middle to his left and a small eating table surrounded by a few chairs to his right. He walked past the couches and the eating table and through an open doorway that led straight into the small kitchen. As he was looking at all the appliances that were there, he noticed two doors at the back of the kitchen. He pushed open the first door finding it to be a bathroom with a large shower. Sasuke made his way to the other door and as he opened and walked through it into the only bedroom of the house, he saw a futon, writing desk, and a cabinet located next to a closet for clothes. He moved his sore body over to the futon and let his body fall onto it, deciding to let his body rest and recover.

Sasuke awoke from his nap as he felt his stomach growling in anger, 'sorry, it's been awhile since I have had anything to eat' apologizing to his stomach. As he stretched his body in the futon relieving himself from any of the soreness he was feeling, he got up and out of bed. He sauntered over to the kitchen and started opening up the refrigerator only to find it empty, he repeated the process with all the cabinets in the kitchen only to come to the conclusion that there is no food in his house. Sasuke knew that he could scavenge food from other people's houses but didn't like the idea of robbing the dead and wasn't ready to back to his old house. Sasuke decide that he would go speak to the major or in this world the hokage and see if this place had a welfare system.

As Sasuke walked into the hokage tower and stood in front of a busy receptionist waiting for her to finish the last of the notes on her paperwork. Without looking up she asked "hello, can I help you?" 'Maybe this wasn't the place to ask about something as trivial as welfare' he thought. "Excuse me Ms. I was wondering if I could speak to the hokage, my name is Sasuke Uchiha and I have a few questions and concerns." The receptionist visibly sagged in her seat as she slowly looked up from her paperwork and made eye contact with him. "Of course you do, please, he is free right now for the next hour, go on in." She stated as she motioned towards the stairs next to her, "up the stairs and the first door on the right, off you go." As Sasuke climbed the stairs and stood outside of giant two sided wooden doors. Sasuke brought his hand up to the doors and knocked, "Come in" he heard through the doors. Sasuke pushed the heavy doors open and entered the room noticing an old man wearing a giant hat sitting behind a desk trying to shove an orange book quickly in a drawer. 'Great another old man that decides my fate' thought Sasuke.

"Perfect timing young Sasuke" the hokage said "we have somethings that need to be discussed about your living arrangements and plans for later today." Sasuke nodded at the hokage and was just about to start asking about a welfare system when his stomach began roaring. The hokage gave Sasuke an apologetic look and pressed a button on his desk paging his receptionist, "can we get something to eat and drink in here, quickly!" As the two men waited in silence for the food and drink to arrive, soon the doors opened and the receptionist carried in a plate of finger sandwiches and some hot tea. As Sasuke was reaching for the mini sized sandwiches the hokage brought out a file from his desk, "unfortunately I am unable to release the Uchiha's coffers until an adult from the clan is able to claim them. But luckily the village has a welfare system in place for this exact predicament." The hokage continued "Sasuke let me ask you some questions, do you have a place to live currently?" As Sasuke swallowed the last bit of sandwhich in his mouth he started to respond "ye" before he could complete the word, the hokage held up his hand indicating Sasuke to stop speaking. "No you don't have a place to live Sasuke, I am sorry to hear that we will have to add that to your expenses for the welfare to cover." The hokage grinned foxily at the young Uchiha and continued with his questions, as Sasuke now understood what was going on and he played along for the rest of the questions. "This is the full amount I can officially give you per month, I hope it helps." Sasuke nodded in thanks "Now Sasuke" the hokage stated "The funeral for your clan is later today at three P.M, all you will need to do it arrive and then you can say goodbye to your family, letting them receive the rest they deserve." Sasuke stood up getting ready to leave and as he was rising he said "thank you for your care and allowing my family to be buried."

It was night now, Sasuke finally arrived back home after the funeral and picking up some groceries and supplies for his home. 'Tomorrow I have to be at the academy, I need to be there, so I can start to understand more of this world.' He thought as he began packing away his school supplies. Once he was finished he laid down on the futon and was looking at his user interface options. The first thing he thought was 'store,' and a menu was brought up close to his face for his reading pleasure. The menu had three distinct categories [Objects] [Jutsus] [UI] as he selected [Objects] with his mind he was filled with page after page of weapons, armor and everything in between. He began browsing through the pages and reading the description of objects until his eyes caught onto a book. 'How to be a Master Sealer for Dummies' as he continued to read the description of what a sealer using fuinjutsu can do he became intrigued. He looked at the price and calculated how much money he would have left to spend for the month. He bit his cheek 'if I get really hungry and can't afford to eat I'll find a river and fish.' He thought as he purchased the book. As he closed out of the shop mentally after scanning the [Jutsus] and [UI] options and seeing the prices. Sasuke thought he would look at his stats so he can compare himself to the others in his class.

'Stats' he mentally commanded as two text boxes appeared.

'So that's my level, ha, I am a higher level than the main character" He smugly thought to himself. As he looked at the box below his level Sasuke discovered it was much more in depth.

Sasuke wondered what each stat correlated to, the system luckily gave him an overview. 'Hm, so comprehension is the ability to understand how jutsus work, constitution is my health bar and health recovery. Reflex deals with my brain synapses and how fast my brain can send commands to my body, speed is how quickly my body can move. Strength determines the amount of physical damage I can deal and wisdom gives my body more chakra and better chakra recovery, it also allows my chakra abilities to hit harder. The only one I don't fully understand is charisma. I understand how charisma affects my social interactions with others but, the system also states that it helps improve the cost of jutsus that I'm not naturally aligned to. Sasuke closed the stats page as he tried to comprehend the last part of the charisma stat. He mentally ordered the system to open the talent tree, only for the system to regretfully inform him that without a talent point it remains locked. "How do I get a talent point?" he asked the system out loud, and an answer was immediately replied "leveling to certain levels, obtaining certain achievements and goals can grant you talent points."

As Sasuke looked at his experience wheel that hasn't changed since Navi first pointed it out, he decided to check the last thing on his user interface. As he opened up his notification tab, there was only one notification and it wasn't for Sasuke Uhicha but for Reo Suzuki. The message read: Dear, Reo thanks for the helping an old man that needs a walker to get to the kitchen, thought you might need these so I'm sending them your way, From. 'The old man can't remember his name so he just left his signature blank' Sasuke thought as he chuckled about the irony of a God that forgot his name. As he clicked the message closed, two books appeared on his lap. Sasuke picked up the first one titled "How to be a Master Sealer for Dummies part 2." Sasuke rolled his eyes as he picked up the second book only to discover that the moment he touched it started sinking into his hand and soon disappeared. His notification bar in his UI started to shake, and so Sasuke mentally opened it to read the message. "Congratulations" the message began "your comprehension of seals is that of a true blood Uzumaki. Receive an additional +15 comprehension stats when learning and understanding seals" Sasuke read the message a few times as he closed his eyes 'Uzumaki clan, I will have to ask about them tomorrow at the academy.' Sasuke thought as he drifted off to sleep clutching his two new books closely to his chest.
