Vanished Hope

"So Ms. Jannison" Victor smiled sitting on the table lying opposite to her.

"Actually, it's Mrs. Jannison" Mia corrected, which shattered every hope of Victor. His smile came to a standstill and earth slipped away from his feet.

The ray of hope he found started vanishing away in thin air.

"Are you serious? I mean are you really married?" Travis came running to Mia.

Mia who was observing the sudden changes in the handsome duo was unable to understand anything.

"Why are you so interested in my life? What is wrong with you people? Let me go," Mia stood up from her seat but Travis pushed her back onto the sofa.

"First answer our questions" Travis ordered pressing Victor's shoulder in assurance.

"Why should I answer you? Neither do I know you nor I work for you, I am in no way answerable to you people," Mia roared.

"Woman, hear me out. I am being patient with you, it would be better if you don't try testing my patience. Answer the questions. Are you really married?" Victor's voice was enough to scare Mia. She managed to give a single nod looking down.

"I don't think she is saying the truth, she doesn't have any ring" Travis pointed towards Mia's empty hand.

"Just because I don't have any ring it, that doesn't mean I am not married. There exist people who don't adorn a ring and there exist people who can't afford it" she murmured the last part.

"Her ring is not what we should be caring about right now. Who is your husband? What does he do?" Victor questioned maintaining his calm even though emotions are boiling up inside him.

"Why should I answer your every question? You are no one to me. I don't like sharing my personal things" Mia affirmed understanding that the duo has something to do with her.

"Look Lady, don't test our patience. Answering our questions will benefit you. Just give us information" Travis ordered.

Mia glanced at the duo who are looking clearly exhausted. Though the place and the duo scared her, she decided against answering the strangers everything. She ignored their question and stayed silent looking down at the floor even though fear kept increasing inside her due to the handsome duo who kept staring at her.

"Do you think this is all a game? Do you think we have no other work? Do you even know who the hell he is? Open your mouth" Travis screamed.

"He can be anyone in the hell, but he is no one to me. Henceforth he has no right to know a thing about me" Mia used the same tone Travis used on her.

"Travis calm down, this tone might create more problems. I think if we try explaining our situation she might help us" Victor whispered to Travis trying to calm him down.

"What are they discussing? Are they plotting to kill me? Will I die without even eating double cubed ice cream?" Mia who was unable to hear their discussion was worried.

"Look Ms. Jannison" Victor walked near to her

"How many times should I say? It's Mrs. Jannison" Mia screamed.

Mia jumped from the sofa when she saw Victor sitting beside her.

"Mrs. Jannison, I mean no harm to you. Please be seated. I need to show you something," he sounded calm.

"I don't want to see anything, why should I even hear to you? I need to go back. Let me go" Mia tried running which resulted in vain as the doors are sealed.

"I can understand your fear, but understand that we are no harm to you. Just have a look at this" Victor tried calming her down.

"No, I don't want to" Mia was beyond scared unable to understand anything, and kept averting her head.

"Didn't I warn you to not test my patience? Why can't you understand anything in simple terms? Look at this," Victor twisted her hand to her back which made her body come into close contact with him.

Mia felt electricity passing through her body as soon as her body hit his broad chest. His hot breath, which hit her forehead made her feel a tickling sensation. She looked up to him while her cheeks changed their shade. She was unable to look into his fuming eyes.

"Look" he screamed flashing his mobile before her not letting go of her hand.

Mia was surprised as soon as her eyes fell on the picture.

"When did I click a picture with you? I don't even know you and that clothes? I can't afford them even if I put my whole life's earning" Mia exclaimed as soon as she saw the picture on Victor's mobile.

"Did you see it?" Victor questioned.

Mia who was deeply engrossed in the picture didn't give any reply, Victor let go of her hand when he saw how she was beyond confused.

"This is soo me, but not me" Mia managed to say.

"Are you sure?" Victor questioned.

"The one in the picture looks exactly like me, but not me. I never click pictures with strangers and psychos" Mia blurted out without thinking.

"Do I look like a psycho to you?" Victor arched his brow with a pinch of seriousness, which made her gulp.

"The one who tries killing strangers and kidnaps them are psychos" Mia stated confidently though she was scared of his serious looks.

Though Mia was testing Victor's patience, he was keeping his calm as Mia was the only option lying before him who can save his pride.

"Will you please stop freaking out on every single thing and hear me out?"

"Why should I even hear you?" Mia quizzed back irritated.

"Didn't I tell you this is not the way to deal with arrogant ones like her?" Travis fumed walking to Mia. Victor stopped him with one signal when he was about to pounce on her.

"Hear me out clearly Mrs. Jannison, you have no escape route, everything happens according to my wish. If you wish to be freed you need to comply with my wishes or else you will have to witness the extremes" Victor's calm warning made Mia's whole body shiver.
