HIS A-YUE

" mr wei Chang you are under arrest for the mass murder of 103 people in this community and you have to be brought into the police custody"

A young police officer said to a gloomy bloody boy in front of him slightly afraid that he will suddenly attack.

"A-yue you're finally avenged now but why am I not still reconciled, you suffered for so many years being called a black star and attacked by them which led to your death, I finally killed them all but why do I feel so much pain as if my heart is being ripped apart from my chest"

He thought as he stared at the building which was once a library in the small remote community surrounded by mountains was burning down by the glorious red large flames making loud crackling noises.

"Why are you so cruel wanting me to live for you but I can't do it I really can't do it anymore, I am no different than a Walking Dead"

He thought as he put his hand in his trouser pockets trying to bring out something and is suddenly shot twice on his chest one bullet passing through the left side.

He glanced down robotically slowly at his chest and smiled happily his hands finally out from his pocket a chain necklace with a purple oval jade with gold engraving dangled from the hand.

"Who shot that bullet" a middle-aged police officer shouted surprised.

"I thought he was going to bring out a weapon" a young police officer said timidly.

The commotion drifted away from his ears as blood trickled from the side of his lips and his injured chest as he slowly knelt and lied down.

Memories of two little boys, one with black hair and one with silver hair that covered half of his face appeared before him.

The little silver haired boy came out from the river with with two fishes clapsed in his hands, the black haired extended a hand to the silver haired one standing before him at the riverbank.

"Can you give me some fish?" the black haired one asked the silver-haired one.

No" the silver-haired one said as he coldly walked away.

This was the first time they met.

He was brought by his parents for vacation to this remote village surrounded by mountains.

He a cute boy who had never been rejected by anyone since he was born was baffled by the rejection.

He had never been rejected anything by anyone as he was a lovable child, he was so hurt by the rejection he almost cried to his parents but held it in.

When they met again, some children were throwing Stones at the silver-haired boy, he protected him by standing in front of him with his hands out stretched, some pebbles hit him and although it hurts he gritted his teeth and endured it.

"Why are you hitting him" he asked

"He's a black star stop protecting him you'll be cursed if you get close to him and something bad might happen to you" a chubby boy said

"Why are you cursing people he's not a black star"

"He is! my mother told me that he curses any one that is close to him and that is how he caused the death of all his family members and when he killed his family members the villages drove him away but he keeps coming back so we are trying to drive him out again"

they said as they tried to continue throwing stones but the black haired boy took a bigger stone to threaten them.

"Leave him alone"

he defended not noticing the gaze at his back.

He pretended to throw back and the children scattered afraid he laughed proud of himself and patted his chest.

" don't worry they won't bother you again and if they do I will protect you"

He said smiling with his gap teeth, chest pushed out and hands akimbo at his waist thinking he was like the superhero that he watched in his cartoon on TV but was shattered by the boy cold-hearted words.

" you are missing some tooth and you look ugly when you smile"

he said as he walked away without any sense of gratitude.

Then there was a third encounter a fourth encounter and then multiple encounters they had with him pestering the silver-haired boy.

He left back to town after his vacation with his family not noticing the longing gaze behind the car that drove him and his parents back.

Years later as a teenager, he came back and the boy was less lively than before even though he wasn't really lively even once, but it was much worse than before.

He persisted to make the boy open up to him and after all his hard work, the boy barely opened up to him but it was him who opened his heart.

With the motive to make his sweetheart live better he tried to enlighten the narrow-minded villagers but they had gotten used to blaming the silver-haired boy for every little misfortune in their life.

all his effort went to Naught and was attacked several times, he was warned severely by his family to leave him alone but he persevered.

During this time the silver-haired one finally opened up to him, and the day he willfully helped his sweetheart tie up his hair, he was captivated by the silver coloured pupils like Mercury which was more beautiful than a full moon in a dark night.

His a-yue was flawless, so beautiful it hurts, that day he traced every features on his a-yue face with his fingers and never got enough.

And then it was time to leave the Village again after his vacation he didn't want to leave and was forced back by his parents who wanted to avoid trouble with the villagers, his a-yue ran behind the vehicle as it moved out of the village and finally Stood Still when he couldn't catch up.

Wei Chang sat in the car as he held the jade his sweetheart gifted him.

The jade was so special, it had a strange writing written within the Jade making him wonder where his a-yue got it from.

I will come back for you" he had promised before the earnest gaze of his a-yue but was gifted the Jade instead.

Wei-chang regretted leaving again as when he got back a year later to get his a-yue, he only met a sad news.

The villages got a major earthquake and his a-yue was once again blamed for this catastrophe and was burnt alive on a stake and that day he felt that he had lost a part of himself.

Then he started planning on how to avenge his a-yue, he made so many plans but it was so easy because of their superstitious beliefs, he lured them to the library and burned them all.

He succeeded but his a-yue will never come back.

These memories flashed by quickly as he clutched the purple Jade on his chest blood sticking to it.

" I should have come back earlier"

" maybe it's a type of relief to finally end like this"

"a-yue we can finally meet again"

He thought intermittently as light dimmed from his eyes and vanished completely as he lost his vitality and finally died.
