Arc 2 The Invasion part 4

Daiman stares at cthulian "let's get inside we can't fight him like this"

Jaina "got it" then trows 2 earth bombs on the ground creating a small wall

Karnol "after them"

The halflings went straight towards the building while Karnol went to the right.

Daiman and Jaina made it to the building, Jaina then turned blocked halflings swing with her cutlass and then kicked halfling back, Daiman then used flintlock and shot and killed one of the halflings after which they spread out quickly after.

The building was very big it had multiple pillars holdings up the floors, there are about 2 floors to the builds and each floor has like 2 rooms, due to T rod being next to it pretty much always has electricity flowing though, halflings behind the pillars benches and stairs it also has a large statue of horseman in the middle of the room entry walls on 1st and 2nd floor as well as hanging entry .

Jaina and Daiman run and hide behind the wall on the southern side.

Jaina "I think I can flank them for here "

Daiman "alright ill provide cover fire"

Jaina was waiting for the right moment to go towards the middle and hide behind a statue, Daiman begun shooting at halfling which was going for a shot and wounded him, after which Jaina moved forward of the halflings tries to rush in and stab Jaina but Jaina deflects halflings attack and chokes him to death.

Daiman " huh that's quite impressive where did you learn that "

Jaina "street fights ill explain later "

Jaina crunches and bearly avoids the shot, Daiman notices and axe swing from the distance and very Daiman quickly change cover "that was too close" x.x

Jaina then takes the dead halfling's sword and throws it at halfling who was trying to hit Daiman, she hits the gun which redirects the shot and leaves halfling open, and then Daiman takes the chance and kills the halfling.

A few of the halflings went up to the floor and Jaina and Daiman dodged the axe flying coming from the north .

Daiman thinks to himself "this is bad we can't stay here and dodge forever"

Daiman looked at Jaina "Jaina we need to get up to the 2nd floor lets go "

Daiman got out of cover barrel rolled to the right and then start shooting, while Jaina engaged in melee vs some of the halflings.

Jaina slashed and female halfling before she shot and then deflected an attack, Daiman took out a few and ran over to cover.

Jaina was surprised and got hit in the right hand by ice axe, which heavily damaged the pillar.

Jaina "argh Daiman we need to the 2nd floor"

Daiman "I'm working on it just be careful"

halflings were slowly getting into positions above the floor

meanwhile, Daiman and Jaina were slowly making their way to stairs

Halflings on 2nd floor begun shooting down

Jaina hides behind the stairs "just shot down that store sign down it seems held very loosely"

Daiman thinking Daiman shots it down and sign, which after falls on halflings hitting them with electricity and starts a small fire.

Karnol comes in through the wall breaking behind Daiman, causing Daiman to dodge rolls, then he and Jaina then made it to the 2nd floor due to debris providing them cover, but after Karnol got in water started flooding in as well.

Daiman "is your arm ok"?

Jaina "yeah it is luckily it isn't the arm with better at with sword "

Daiman "that's good "

Karnol "hm you 2 lasted longer then I thought you would "

Jaina grins " oh common ugly face lets not insult each other, you're gonna have to trow a lot more than your minions at us to take us down"

Jaina points her cutlass at him remaining halflings, Daiman seems very angry and Jaina was able to tell that there are about 7 left.

Daiman and Jaina take few steps "lets split up and take down ones we can"

Karnol creates a large ice spike barrier circle with spikes pointing outwards and halflings hide behind, Jaina and Daiman split up as Karnol starts rising water and forming it into bullets, size of small crystals launching it at Daiman and Jaina as well as halflings shooting.

Daiman runs into one of the shops and pushes table down, and then pushes it forward meanwhile Jaina throws firebomb down it gets shot down in the mid-air.

Jaina "dammit then gets into one of the stores Daiman rolls out of cover then shuts down hanging shop boards Karnol knocks 1 away but fails to knock one of the rights after it falls into the water it electrocutes it and kills the halflings but Karnol cuts it down

Karnol cuts the wire "heh seems like you're not pushovers"

Jaina and Kaiman were prepared.

Karnol then did a huge 360 degrees spin and his axe flying around, and he knocked down the entire 2nd floor

Jaina looks surprised "Woah this is gonna be rough "

Daiman and Jaina landed a bit rough but was fine overall.

They got up

Daiman "I didn't expect this ill give you that" but he then grabs harpoon.

Karnol "now we're on even ground just like in arena"

he then lunches the spikes pointing outwards Jaina and Daiman hide behind the rubble.

Jaina "crap lets split up"

Daiman "no ill get his attention you cause the sign to fall on his head and blow up"

After lunching he blocked Jainas and Daimans way with his axes, he pulled them forward forcing

to jump back into the opening, and then he quickly formed ice bullets Daiman quickly threw earth wall on the ground to protect them.

Daiman "alright this is gonna much harder than I thought"

Jaina ducks down and Daiman rolls to the right and sees Karnol pull the chains up and get ready to destroy cover, after which he shot the harpoon and Karnol took a step back and avoided it then created water wave to knock back Daiman .

and when he was about to freeze it Jaina throws a firebomb, and it hits sing right above Karnols head.

Karnol "ARGH!"

Jaina smirked "score!"

Daiman " good to see you can still trow well"

Jaina "we need to get to the higher ground he can freeze that water after all"

Daiman "right in that case we definatly could use the earth bombs we have left"

Meanwhile, Rebbeca was walking around the streets with clear traces of fighting, there were bodies and damage on buildings blood all around making the floor and streets look very dirty, but it is geting cleaned to an extent with rain.

Cthulian approaches with the body of a well-decorated older person in soldiers outfit.

Rebbeca looked at the body and Cthulians.

Cthulian "I apologize for interrupting admiral but we found the body of the enemy leader.

Rebbeca " admiral Gregor? "

Cthulian shows the admiral's body.

Cthualian " here is the interesting part " him around and they see 3rd degree burns on his body and as well a tight hole.

Rebbeca "hm this wasn't done by any of our that's a rapier wound it and seems kingdom navy rapier no less we do not use rapiers and to top it all off fire magic....

Cthulian "what's even more strange is that nobody on the enemy side seems to be aware that admirals dead"

Rebbeca thinks to herself "their commanding officer did well indeed " then looks at cthulian " anything else of interest ?"

Cthulian "yes the house filled with smoke when we came in"

Rebbeca raises her eyebrow "and how did they not notice "

Cthulian "the fire itself likely just lasted for few minutes, I noticed that the house was somehow artificially connected to the sewers it seemed to be connected recently, whoever killed the admiral planed this for a long time"

Rebbeca "then the person must have known about our attack, hmm we were puppets in their game it seems"

Cthulian "in a manner of speaking yes " he drops body "we should thread carefully I suspect whoever planned this had something much bigger mind"

Rebbeca "and what about the assassin ?"

Cthulian we didn't catch the assassin but we found out how he entered and left through without being noticed, the sewers which lead into water purification facility but still it is possible he could have gone around it, but that it is very difficult but for halfling or a human unless they had experience in climbing they could easily go around the facility.

The purification facility purifies the pollution from sewer water using alchemy.

Rebbeca "interesting where did it lead to "

Cthulian "part of the island where likely ship was docked but now it seems nothings there now"

Rebbeca "let's catch up with the assault on the east"

Cthulian " yes admiral"

They proceed forward with a horde of halflings and cthulians following Rebbeca.

Meanwhile, Karnol swings his axe trying to wear out Daiman and Jaina.

Daiman slides away on the left and shots a harpoon, he blocks it after swinging around the axe with which he missed, Jaina climbed on pile created partially by Karnols swinging and earth bombs she thrown, then climbed up and tried and tried to cut Karnols hand Karnol very quickly took a step back and then axe came back around.

Jaina "dammit " and blocked the attacked which knocked her back and almost into the water.

Karnol "hahaha impressive indeed, you'd make for a dam fine halflings you know that"

Daiman "and you are very skilled ill give ya that, but we aren't planning on losing"

Jaina grins " or becoming servants to mere octopus"

Karnol smirks and then swigs directly towards Jaina, Jaina rolls on the side after which his hits and heavily damages one of the pillars, and Jaina looks up at the ceiling which doesn't look in a great condition it looks as if it will fall at any moment.

Jaina thinks to herself "perhaps if knock the celling down on him, it has wood pillar on that's currently very damaged thanks to him, look around so the weight must be these 4 stone pillars I don't think I need to knock down all of them for this to crash down "

Daiman was dodging and shooting the chain on the axe trying to destroy it.

Karnol "hmph is that all you got "

Karnol freezes water around Daiman and raises spikes, Daiman runs towards Jaina after she throws a firebomb there and melts the ice.

Jaina thinks to herself "that's 4 left I need to be careful how I use them "

Daiman runs over to Jaina "thanks that was a close one"

Jaina whispers "your welcome bro here's the plane we have collapse the roof on him"

Daiman looks at Jaina"wait what hows that even going to work"

Jaina "simple just keep him distracted and I will take care of it "

Karnol "id like to see you try"

then he creates 3 large ice spears and lunches them towards Jaina and Daiman, Jaina runs to the left while Daiman deflects the spike and pulls out the harpoon and aims for Karnols head.

Karnol dodges Daiman and then lunches his axe and raises spikes behind him, while also trying to hit Jaina with them Daiman easily dodged the attack, Jaina rolled forward then leaned on left quickly got up and unsheathed her sword and cut off the ice spikes ahead and bearly got though with only a stretched.

he then creates ice spear throws it Jaina from behind.

Daiman looks at Jaina and shouts"JAINA WATCH OUT !"

Jaina looks at ice spear "huh"

Jaina then bearly in time moved from an attack that was aimed directly at her chest she looks very surprised "Woah there "

Karnol then quickly pulled the chain with axe coming back, Daiman dodged it but the harpoon didn't and it got destroyed.

Jaina used this chance and threw a firebomb at a stone pillar and destroyed it after that building begun crumbling.

Daiman "ok I'm definitely not sure about this " e.e

karnol swings axes from the same side Jaina jumps on spiked then jumps off it over axes and almost falls into water, regardless she was very surprised that she made the jump.

Daiman threw 2 earth bombs on the ground and jumped back, which created big enough wall to block both axes.

Karnol "very impressive but let's see how will take this ."

Karnol summons large water wave and then as it reached the shore he started turning it into ice

spikes, Jaina, and Daiman were getting cornered from both sides, then Daiman pulled his pistol and shot hanging sing which fell on Karnols left the shoulder and electrocuted him.

Karnol "ARGH!"

After Karnol lost focus the wave fell apart "dam those blasted things" he swings he charges forward

Daiman "lets stick together this time!"

Daiman and Jaina move to the right, karnol then sank the middle and completely covered the left side in ice.

Jaina "crap get ready as he moved to the right" Jaina threw firebomb on the ground which stopped it from expanding

Meanwhile they noticed in one of the rooms on the table woman and young boy sitting on the table

Jaina "dam it will have to take care of them later"

Daiman "I know but on the plan they get split up again as Karnol really starts giving it his all

dDaiman and Jaina dodge and roll bearly avoiding his attacks Jaina trows the firebomb at stone pillar as soon as she gets the chance

First, she misses the stone pillar after which Karnol uses the ice spikes to try to trap her but Daiman began shooting them to help Jaina

Daiman " common I can't hold it back forever!"

Jaina "dammit it sorry about"

Jaina breaths in and out and then trows the firebomb

Jaina "I hope this works I can't keep up with that thing for much longer..."

After the firebomb entire front part of rooftop collapses, first and then few seconds after the other 2 pillars thanks to all Karnols attacks after it all collapses massive smoke araises.

Meanwhile 15 minutes ago.

A soldier arrives with more refuges, Bluesworth noticed Jaina and Daiman didn't arrive and then went to the soldiers.

Soldier "sir thank god you're here we arrived at the market district, and we were ambushed by a lot of enemy troops, I came back with half of us here to look for back up there are still some survivors there

Captian Bluesworth "tsk " Captian Bluesworth turns around and walks back "GATHER UP THE MEN WERE MATCHING FOWARD!

They start going 2 minutes later Bluesworth quickly gathers a large group of 40 soldiers.

Bluesworth "let's go get who can out of there, we don't have much time until their main force arrives..."

After the smoke cleared out Jaina and Daiman were alive thanks to earth wall Jaina made it took them around 4 minutes out to get out of the rubble.

The woman looked a bit skinny she didn't have any makeup but she victorian style black dress with tael ribbon on the waist in the middle and another one the low right side the dress went down to just bellow knees at the top of the dress from she could still move she also has

Jaina and daiman looked very tired

Jaina smirks "see I told you that would work "

Daiman "yeah yeah let's get the woman and the kid and get out of here woman and the kid approached them

The woman smiles "thank you for saving our lives"

Daiman " you're welcome let us get out of here before something worse arrives"

Woman "yes you right" she holds boys hand tightly who looks scared and they begin moving out

then Ground starts rumbling and then Karnol bruised and bleeding gets up.

Daiman "you got to be kidding what does it take to take him out"

Karnol breaths heavily "ill finish you off once and for all" off he swings his axe at full power Jaina pushed a woman out of the way and then bearly block the attack and then got lunched back the wall of a building

Jaina "argh dammit that really hurt " she was struggling to get up

woman and child moved out of the way as Karnol swung the axe from the right clearly enraged,

Daiman jumped over the attack from the right he then moved back, and then he noticed Karnol raised all the water from the ground and turned it into ice bullets, and then combined it meanwhile Jaina got up and was thinking what to do.

Jaina "his moving towards the T rod" do to raining outside it was very very electrocuted Jaina, then has seen one of the harpoons which pissed Karnol hit the walls and grabbed it.

Jaina ran forward and gaps "COME ON let's finish this "

Daiman then pulled his sword and leaned it on his back and then smirked "bring it on "

Karnol formed a giant ice block and threw it on Daiman, Daiman threw earth bomb in the back which formed a wall, which he quickly turned ran to and then took few steps on the put his hands against it and then pushed himself off on the ice block, and Daiman ran up it threw firebomb at the top then jumped down firebomb blew up .

Karnol "ARGH"

Karnol blinded for a short while and Jaina used a chance and threw a harpoon and hit his neck.

Daiman breathes heavily"good job" Daiman

Jaina "thanks" they then jump back as Karnol beings swinging trying to take them down.

Jaina and Daiman were slowly pulling back towards trod, and when they were also against it they rolled out of the way, as Karnol hit it with axe and got electrocuted and fell down on the back.

The woman comes from a distance "is he finally dead "

Daiman walked up to him grabbed the harpoon and stabbed it through its chest "now it is..."

Jaina seems relieved" let's get out of here we can't stay here for long "

Suddenly the horde of halflings and Cthulians came and surrounded them and circled them

Jaina looked surprised "seriously ?!"

Jaina "I thought there were holding them back as long as they could "

Daiman then saw someone on top of the building it was Admiral Rebbeca she jumped down.

Daiman immediately left harpoon there and went back to Jaina and they prepared.

Jaina "she feels very different let's stay back" Jaina and Ddaiman were tense.

Rebbeca gave off powerfull present much different kind of presence then Karnol did, she was look was cold and calculated but still, although she didn't show it she does seem to hide her emotions.

Daiman looked at the woman and the child then got closer to them almost immediately after.

Rebbeca looked at Karnols corpse and then Daiman and Jaina "impressive you took him down just with that"

Another much larger octopus cthulian appeared next to Rebbeca "they would make for great halfling"

Daiman and Jaina prepared.

Rebbeca "do not attack. "

Cthulian steps back

Rebbeca walks up to them.

Daiman "what are you, you do not look like the cthulian and yet you do not look like a human, and why did you attack our home" Daiman points a sword at Rebbeca

Rebbeca "hmm I see you were not on the sea for long I am Cthulian halflings human turned halfling

Daiman looks shocked after he heard that "wait what ?"

Rebbeca "that's right and some of us were like you and some were born like this"

Daiman "and which one were you"

Rebbeca "that's none of your business"

Daiman " you were turned into one weren't you, I can tell you're trying to hide something "

Jaina grabbed Daimans arm "careful don't get us killed"

Rebbeca "you definitely have potential and guts" Rebbeca because walking in a circle around them observing.

Jaina "why thank you but that's not whats not what you're looking for now is it"

Daiman "don't you wish you were human again "

Rebbeca "don't pretend that you know anything about me .... even so, it's too late for me now I serving Cthulu now his power is growing every day as well as his influence" Daiman and Jaina kneel as cthulians use some kind of magic.

Cthulian approaches "The Cthulu has decided you two will join our ranks and we shall bring out your full potential"

Jaina "we will never become servants to an overgrown squid"

Rebbeca sigh "I wish it didn't have to come to this" she begins walking back and then suddenly both cthualian magic and Rebbeca stops and looks at the octopus cthulian "you dropped your guard"

Captian Bluesworth looks furious "OPEN FIRE"

Woman stood up holding her son's hand tightly "DAVID ?!"

Cthulians and halflings extremely quickly were brought down, by a combination of lightning fire bullets and baristas cathulians.

Octopus Cthulian goes behind cover commence the counter-attack.

a few seconds later Rebbeca jumped back as soon as Bluesworth charged in.

Captian Bluesworth trying to make distance btw Daiman Jaina his wife and child.

Captian Bluesworth then pulled his rapier and looked at Rebbeca one of the Cthulians then thrown ice spear, which Bluesworth dodged and then Cthualian forced ice shield and Bluesworth used wind magic and arrived instantly in front of cthulian .

Jaina "Woah what the hell was that"

Crab Cthulian tried to shield bash Bluesworth but Bluesworth dodged it quickly moved in and stabbed him, after her stabbed cthulians the lightning came out from otherwise of its body,

he then charged at Rebbeca Rebbeca deflected his attack effortlessly then spun around, extending reach of her cutlass with ice by another 100 meters Bluesworth jumped back and blocked it, but was sent flying back for 500 meters he then noticed ground was flooded a little .

he noticed his soldiers were struggling and way out was blocked.

Rebbeca looked at Bluesworth directly in the eyes "this is your only chance to stand down"

Captian Bluesworth "let them go and keep me"

The woman looks terrified "no..."

Daiman looks frustrated "dammit if there was something we could do"

Rebbeca walks up to him "no I have the better idea order, you're troops, to stand down and then leave this island with everyone you have rescued..."

Daiman smirked up "so there is humanity left in you that"

Daimans and Rebbecas eyes interlocked for the moment, Daiman was still smirking and Rebbeca seemed very curios for the moment.

Rebbeca turned to Bluesworth do we have deal Captian

Captian Bluesworth "not like I have much of a choice..." he sighs "I agree on your terms "

Rebbeca " before you go I do have few questions "

Captian Bluesworth "hmph I knew there would be a catch"

Rebbeca "did you know you and you're men and every person in this city were abandoned"

Captian Bluesworth " what are you talking about?

Rebbeca " I'm sure you noticed big and important port like this it's usually much better defended"

Captian Bluesworth "shes right soldiers were there but there was almost no navy...."

Rebbeca "we also found you're commanding officer dead."

Captian Bluesworth was shocked as well as all other troops

Captian Bluesworth "what?! that explains lack of the response and overall panic..."

Rebbeca "that gives me more than enough answers

Rebbeca grabbed the crystal and ordered her forces to stand down and so did Bluesworth.

Daiman Jaina Bluesworth and both civilian and soldier survivors were preparing to leave.

Jaina looks at Captian Bluesworth "excuse me I have a question do you know if kain my and Daimans brother survived?"

Captian Bluesworth "kain... yes he did luckily he was of the first to leave your part of the city

Daiman "that's a relief "

Captian Bluesworth "by the way I will let you and as a reward for your assistance, and saving my family I will fill your ship with supplies and maps"

Daiman "we did what we had to "

Captian Bluesworth smirked "its a dam shame you're pirates you would have made some dam good soldiers"

Jaina smirked "my we have been getting that a lot lately"

Captian Bluesworht "haha I bet you did anyways I will not take any more of you're time, you have your ships getting filled as we speak is there anything else you have left to do "

Daiman "only 1 thing but it will be quick "

Daiman and Jaina quickly find Thomas.

Jaina then leans on wall Thomas was reading something

Jaina "good to see you in one piece"

Thomas turns and smiled "nice to see you in one piece too, except some bruises and scratches "

Daiman smiles "will take care of that later we just wanted to visit you and say goodbye properly "

Thomas smiles "I see please have a sit on the chairs" he points in back part of the storage it's pretty empty now, it was emptied up and used as medic camp but Thomas gets up opens box bellow the bed "dang it there no snacks left"

Jaina smiles "no worries we made sure we ate enough for this"

Thomas looks sad "time sure goes by fast one day were hanging out joking pranking " Thomas smirks nostalgically "and suddenly were forced out of our homes "

Daiman leans back "that's life for ya it'll take you on a wild ride, no matter if we like it or not

Thomas looks at Daiman and smiles "indeed but life is short and it can end and change quicker then any of us think "

Jaina looks at Thomas "so what will you do now "

Thomas " ill join Bluesworths troops, ill be more I trust that I will be able to do a lot of good there and potentially find dirt on Stewart"

Daiman smiled "and if you find enough will be there to make him pay for his crimes"

Thomas "definitely but what do you plan to do now"

Daiman looks out "get far enough and then decide where to go next "

Jaina "I think we should head out I'm sure cthulians won't have that much patience with us"

Thomas "right well nice talking with you dam I wish you the best"

Jaina and Thomas shake hands

Jaina "same goes to you"

Daiman and Thomas shake hands

Daiman smiles "will meet again till then stay alive "

Thomas smiles back" hahaha I sure will "

After they left the storage room Daiman and Jaina went to their ship turns on the engine and left the city with the fleet and after one hour separated from the rest.

Daiman "alright lets head north to the Blaige Archipelago"

Jaina "nods alright then let's go"
