Arc 2 The Invasion part 3

Rebbeca "hm they are holding off better then I thought" Rebbeca climbs on top of an abandoned building, from which she could see the western port.

Rebbeca "once we do some rebuilding this area will serve as a good nest but all in due time" crystal glows "get into the water we shall flank them "

Rebbeca looks at wood and stone wall built around the west side "it would be a shame to damage the wall they build they forgot about the sea thankfully they are probably assuming I'm the only one who can create a wave "

Rebbeca jumps on the builds and gets to the then small shop stand next to the bridge form "4 Groups of 8 get into the sewers and enter the enemy lines and sabotage it "

Cthulian "it shall be done "

Crystals stop glowing Rebbeca "we should use the element of surprise as long as we can"Rebbeca looks around "I should get closer to get a better look "

Rebbeca continues moving "the mobility we get from sewers will make this a lot easier."

Thomas "make sure the path is secure strange" he looks to the right and left side "what are they doing they should have already attacked..."

Thomas "I'm sure covered everything walls are prepared" there are lots of cannons onshore we held off their ships from attacking could we didn't miss anything"

Thomas widens his eyes as he realizes "looks around and then notices the sewers "

Thomas "runs over to the soldier hey did we secure the sewers"

Soldier "no why ?"

Thomas "then we have 1 big opening we should hurry up and take people out of here"

Soldier informs other tropes and then they speed up the pace of refuges

Meanwhile, 4 corpses of dead soldiers are on the ground, on the roof Rebbeca stands.

Rebbeca "they noticed but too little too late" crystal glows "commence the attack "

Cthulains and halflings break out of sewers on 2 sides, and suddenly port is flooded with water everyone who was either wounded or killed thanks to initial wave, 2 squads meanwhile cutoff retread routes

soldiers were quickly thrown into chaos as people started panicking and getting captured.

Thomas managed to keep people somewhat organized on his end but couldn't fight

Soldier "you should go sir will do our best to hold them off "

Thomas "alright soldier good luck"

Soldier "sir wait!"

Thomas turns "around him ?"

Soldier "can you give this to my sister, its the letter from our cousin I was supposed to give it today but I don't think I will make it ...."

Thomas pats his shoulder "considering it done friend"

The soldier smiles "thanks sir I should get going good luck"

Thomas "Good luck too then turned towards people alright let's get going"

Rebbeca walks over in the room sees the picture of the family together happy smiling, then gets a flashback of her with her in a village back when she was young girl, with few people having fun but then gets quickly gets reminded of screams deaths and her being taken by halflings.

Rebbeca clinches her fist "its too late too late for that..."

Rebbeca quickly rushes too the roof of the building "seems like it worked ", Rebbeca sees the river keeps flooding and flowing through the city knocking out or killing anyone in its way, she can see the fight she turns and sees in the distance and civilians getting captured along with some soldiers,

Rebbeca walks over to the edge and sees people being taken in row by halflings, Rebbeca then recalls back when she was young much like now all the people were chained up being taken, but when Rebbeca turned around she looked back at her home village getting destroyed, "poor souls you had your chance to escape now you will feel the pain I did... "

Rebbeca then jumps down and continues ahead she then creates a bunch of ice spikes on the ground, and then lunches them up in the air on the enemy Rebbeca thinks to herself "I wonder how much how of this city will be just left in ruins... although it will be a shame it is quite pretty "

the streets and buildings despite the impact debris and the flood still do look quite pretty, the construction material used and the sewers did keep in mind the flood however since the seas were usually pretty calm so they did not have city prepared for very large waves, which is what Rebbeca used against them now the sewers are flooded and halflings can and some of the cthulians, can quicker and easier travel thoguh out the city right now, the cthulians in the sewers are marking the areas so that others do not get lost.

Meanwhile, Jaina Daiman and soldiers were pushing back cthulians.

Daiman "they are incoming far too quickly where the heck are all of them coming from."

Soldier "from the sewers"

Daiman " do we have anything that uses electricity "

Jaina " well street lights use fire element and we can't block out every single sewer in the city "

soldier "only things that possibly conduct electricity are T rods "

T rods are devices invented to protect the city from thunders, they are put all over the city often are used to power electricity to important buildings during the storms.

Jaina "either way 1 touch and it would fry you "

Soldier "yes anyways get ready "

soldiers Jaina and Daiman proceed north.

Soldier, we should destroy the bridge some of the bigger and slower cthulians won't be able to pass

soldier "also take this " he throws harpoon to Daiman.

Daiman catches it.

soldier " you need to pierce the Bigg Boys right thoguh the heart, that's the only way to kill them for sure that we know off "

Jaina smiles "frying them to death could potentially work too, also be careful they are smarter then they look "

Daiman "noted" he puts the harpoon on his back and pulled flintlock and longsword and Jaina pulled the cutlass.

then they commence the attack on they caught the squad of halflings, who just left sewers Daiman and soldiers shot up half of the other half tried to run away, but Jaina used earth bombs to block their exit.

Jaina "where do you think you're going " then Jaina rushes in before one of them shot then swings cutlass hitting the flintlock and knocking out, of its hand and then cutting the middle of its chest,

after which they begin running to the west but see other halflings and cthualians retreating.

Soldiers grouped up and begun pushing back cthulians as they were overwhelmed,

Daiman used the chance when one of the octopus cthulains used ice magic to block the retreat route and prepared harpoon and hit the cthulian piercing its heart killing it on the spot,

after they retreated soldiers spread out to see if there were any survivors.

Jaina and Daiman and few other soldiers went to check the other streets, Ddaiman shots one of the halflings who was trying to slam down the door to the basement of one house.

they hear whispers in there but they aren't able to see whose voices are they.

Jaina smiles "it's safe now you can come out "

They hear a male voice "Alright give us a few minutes please"

After they hear something big object getting the moved door open and they see, a family of four middle-aged man and woman their son and grandfather exit.

The soldier turns to man "Is everyone alright ?"

Man "yes we are thank you for saving us"

Daiman "no problem do you know any other survivors around here" :o

Man not that I recall everything was chaotic and before you came they broke into few houses.

Soldier "alright but it's dangerous to stay here follow me I will take you to the evacuation route"

Daiman nods" then let's go further who knows who else is left alive"

Jaina smiles as when shes is next to Daiman and behind soldiers.

Daiman " you seem in good mood considering situation "

Jaina "I'm just glad we're here doing the right thing oh also you never passed though here but this is fairly close to our home"

Daiman looks surprised"huh ? for real "

Jaina smiles "well I do usually wander around the city much more than you, Iknow all the routes and shortcuts in this side of town"

after a few minutes of searching through the houses.

Soldier "is there anyone on your side"?

Daiman "no survivors here unfortunately but our street is near here we can check there "

Soldier "right you're father owns a bar at its south end, to it as well anyone who was late potentially could have gone there"

Daiman Jaina and soldiers get to the bar and Jaina and Ddaimans home, they see the door was broken in but no people were in the bar.

Jaina "seems like a back door was broken down as well "

after they proceed they get to the house and notice the place was wrecked, Jaina and Ddaiman were very worried about kain.

Daiman mumbles "dammit kain I hope you made it"

Soldier kneels sees the blood and the slash on the wall.

Soldier " whoever was here must have been taken... "

Jaina clenches her fist then widens her eyes and runs to the upper floor Daiman goes after Jaina.

Jaina goes to the room in the far back.

Daiman "wait to hold up why are you going to the Kains room "?

Jaina smiles hopefully "he always brings the journal with him and writes stuff down, its kind of his hobby you know and if it's not here then it means he's still alive "

Daiman looks at Jaina "huh so you were spying after all "

Jaina smiles and winks at Daiman " well I do like knowing spicy secrets, I don't mean any disrespect though "

Daiman "will settle this later"

Kain's room was larger then Ddaimans and Jainas it had 1 old closet, which was still filled with his cloaths, table bed walls were painted light brown, looking at room furth it was pretty obvious Kains favorite color was light brown only think not brown were books bed sheets.

Daiman " seems like the notebook isn't here " he sighs in relief " his alive"

Jaina gets up "yep but there's something more that you don't know about"

Daiman looks confused as Jainas trying to pull wood boards off the floor until Jaina finds loose one and pulls out a metal box.

Jaina " i suspect he noticed me spying on him after a while but he didn't seem to mind it "

Daiman looks at Ddaiman "and you should be thankful for that "

Jaina smirks "you aren't gonna let this go ain't ya "

Jaina opens the metal box and smiles "alright there it is" it was Jainas teddy bear it was patched and seemed and dressed up in a cute dress "

Daiman smirks "ah yes the bear when dad adopted you tried to steal it, but he figured out in time what you were trying to do and buying it to you anyways "

Jaina warm " smiles ever since then I played with him and took good care of him "

Jaina picks up a small toy sword " oh yea you used to play with this when you dreamed of joining the navy " although Jaina picks it up "it's too small for you now "

Daiman picks it up and puts it's it next to it in teddy bears lap "maybe for me, yes but for miss Betty its a perfect fit

Jaina smiles well take care of that on the ship Jaina puts all of it back in the box "lets head down we picked all we needed "

meanwhile, Thomas and other survivors got to well-protected stone/ spike wall created

Thomas "alright we should be safe here "

Soldiers push away cart blocking the entrance and survivors start flooding in but are calmed down by the soldiers.

Soldier "calm down everyone and proceed in order "

one the soldiers standing on wall shouted " captain Thomas Captian Bluesworth asked that you come and talk to him as soon as possible.

Thomas nods "alright"

Thomas proceeds to go to the camp he noticed he turned one of the port's storages into HQ, compered to the builds it is very well protected and enemy ships haven't surrounded that place, yet form the distance Thomas can see their ships fighting a losing battle.

After entering the camp he sees captain Bbluesworth looking at the map with crystal on the side.

Captian Bluesworth " good to see you back had a rough time I see "

Thomas sits on chair "dammit I need some more rest, I was unlucky enough to get into 1 on 1 against cthulian"

Captian Bluesworth "but you were lucky enough to make it out in one piece, how many did you manage to save"

Thomas sighs and sits down "10000 people we were surprise attacked by the enemy, they used the flood once again it captured or killed the most, unfortunately, the line is already annihilated "

Captian Bluesworth " hmmm then we don't have much time" he hides frustration well " go to the south there's and enter the medic tent, they will patch you up in no time I'm going to check north part".

They get up and leave the room.

Meanwhile at north soldiers were coming back.

Jaina "alright at least managed to find few more survivors "

Daiman " yeah they were to able to avoid the cthulians for this long "

They hear the scream from large buildings in the distance.

Daiman looks at the direction of the scream"what was that "?

Soldier "cthulians are starting to march toward us we cant save them "

Daiman " fine lets split up then you take them back, and we will see if we can save anyone out there"

Soldier " that is a bad idea you have seen yourself what those things can do "

Daiman "yes but we have to save as many as we can "

Jaina "besides trust us will be back in one piece "

Soldier hands over a bag with 5 harpoons here" take this you will need it "

Daiman takes it "alright let's go Jaina "

Soldiers begin moving out with civilians and Ddaiman and Jaina begin moving towards the noise,

Jaina sees the tracks and knocked down trash can in front of the door, she looked around with Daiman the area and taken the 3 tight turns in the back-alley streets, build was rather small but there was no chance for them to enter the building based on the screams, they could still hear the sounds of chase going on passages were going to east from west (where they came from ) and northeast.

Daiman " sound comes from the northeast "

Jaina "yeah but we can take a short cut in the east I think, I have an idea where this chase is heading"

Daiman and Jaina run towards the east and then take though a few sharp turns through the alley.

Daiman and Jaina see the big buildings it is a shopping center with a large entrance and next to it was T rod they also noticed a large group of halflings chases down kid and woman.

Daiman shot the halfling and they stopped in tracks.

Daiman "why don't you pick someone your own size "

Halflings group up as Daiman notices ice spikes raise behind them

Daiman screams "LOOKOUT "

Jaina and daiman roll out of the way of ice spikes which then form a wall in front of halflings.

Jaina " jeez that was really close"

Daiman well have to get in we cant stay in the open with water all around we will be very target

Cthulian " by all means feel free to try..." Cthulain with the very slim lower body but octopus-like face with long tentacles he also wears metal plate around the area where his heart is presumably rest of the armor seems like leather but isn't quite that

Daiman looks at armor and thinks to himself " this is gonna be tricky... "

Jaina grins "alright then you overgrown octopus lets see what you got "

Karnol "the names Karnol " he then uses water around the area and ice to form axe with spikes and chains which extend its reach, for at least twice to 3 times his size however it was very light blue and looks very heavy to wield although the blades start off small and get larger.

Karnol " Today I will teach show you meaning of pain"

Karnol then swings it back and then swings from the back right and the left side towards them.

Daiman jumped back while Jaina took few steps back and moved her left shoulder.
