4 Chapter 4: Meeting and finding a way out

"H-hey... Are you ok? Are you dead? If not please wake up..." Said a feminine voice. Darren slowly opened his eyes. He couldn't see anything but a blur, he wasn't wearing his glasses, he rub his eyes slightly, groaning in pain at the same time. He look to see a blurry figured kneeling in front of him, he could recognize the colour brown. "Must be the colour of the hair..." He thought.

"Are you alright?" The feminine voice ask again. The Noiret tilt his head slightly before sighing.

"Have you seen some glasses?... I can't see shit without them." He said while trying to find his glasses on the floor, the girl look around, the room they were in was so dark they barely could see anything. The girl notice something sparkle at the distance, she walk over there, pick up the said object to see it was some glasses, it was slightly crack. She walk toward the Noiret, put it on his face. Darren blink from the gestured, now that he could see, he can recognize the girl as the one he saw entered the forest without any weapons.

"Thanks..." He mumble placing the glasses well on his face. The girls smiled.

"Anytime! My name is Eliza Bartellia. Nice to meet you!"

"Mine Darren Latinguild, nice to meet you Bartellia." He said holding out his hand, Elizabeth smiled and hold his hand. They stared like that for a few minute before Darren finally decide to let go, he look around trying to see the few things, there's was a torch that slightly illuminate the room. He walk toward and took it off his hook, he turn toward Liz.

"Let's get out of here.. My friend should be looking for me, and I have a bad feeling about this." He muttered as he started walking inside the tunnel, Eliza followed behind him, scared or her life, she really regretted going into the forest just to follow a lead about her twin sister. As Darren was leading the way, he could feel someone or something staring at him, he pull Eliza a bit closer to him. She blush not use to being close to mans.

"Be careful... Something is watching us..." He whispered to her, she nodded slowly as she look around. Eliza didn't know how to fight, but she was still good at healing, she knew that the man before her had no magic in him. The two arrive somewhere, there was three tunnel leading to different direction, the Noiret groan, already tired of walking.

"W-which way now?... There's three tunnels..." Eliza ask shaking slightly.

"I'm not sure..." He answered back.

Suddenly a bright light illuminate the right tunnel, it was a light that would make anyone feel safe and believe it's the right way.

"Oh a light! Must be the exit!" Liz exclaim, happy, Darren on the other hand didn't trust it one bit, before he could stop her, Liz had run toward the light but the entrance got covered in ice. The women was surprise and back away, Darren walk to her and pull her behind him glaring at something. He was looking at the middle tunnel.

"Come out whoever you are! I know you're there." He said, suddenly a man came out, what surprise him was that he had cyan ears and a cyan fox tail. Almost everything of the man was cyan. All three of them just stared at each other, Liz was holding onto Darren shirt behind him, scared, she heard most half-foxes are cruel and heartless people. That they would kill anyone without a second thought. The cyan man sigh, shaking his head.

"I was able to find you both before you enter the man hideout and ending up rape or dead." He muttered as his mess up his hair. Darren look confuse.

"What do you mean..." He ask looking at the cyan man.

"That tunnel led to a murderer.. You were smart enough to know that it was a trap,but the girl need more work."

Liz eyes widen slightly before she look over Darren shoulder. The half fox was frowning slightly.

"Come, I'm here to show you two the exit. My master... Should had warned the other two about it.." The cyan man said as he walk throughout the middle tunnel, Darren and Liz look at each other, not sure if they should follow the man or go into the left tunnel.

"Hey! If you don't follow you'll forever be lost in this maze!"

Liz and Darren ran after the light blue man, he was walking slowly waiting for them to catch up. All three of them were walking in silence, Darren was the first to break it.

"Um... Sir?" He ask, the man turn his head toward the Noiret, with a raise eyebrow.

"Just call me Silver, Hero."

"Ok... Then Silver... Why are you helping us... And why were you even in this cave?"

The blunette chuckle slightly.

"About that... Like I said before, I have a master, she's a mercenary and her latest target was in this cave. So in order to catch him we had to take out any civilians that are still in these mazes. Which mean you two idiots and two others idiots."

"You didn't have to call us idiots..." Liz mumble pouting. Silver shook his head while sighing. "Why did I accept to bring these two out of the cave... I hope she has better luck than me... With Oliver I mean..."

In the mean while with Oliver

Oliver and Bullet were walking throughout the maze trying to find their friend. The blond man was tired from walking, he just wanted to get out of this cave that never seem to finish. As both of them turn a corner they were met with a dead end. He groan in frustration.

"For fucks sake! That's the 20th time we fucking went straight into a dead end and it's starting to pisses me off!" He yelled while his spirit companion covered her ears.

"Calm down Oliver... I'm sure we'll be able to find him..." Bullet said. The fire cat was illuminating slightly the way. The young blond man nodded sighing,he decided to continue his way, when he turn around, the way had change to a bigger place, he look up to see he was able to see the night sky. He couldn't believe his eyes, the way had change again but this time right before them.

"You still haven't change at all Oli... Still getting stuck in these kind of maze." A female voice said from behind them, Oliver turn around and got ready in a fighting stance, but his eyes widen surprise to see the person they were looking for. His shoulder drop before smiling.

"Is that actually the first thing you say to me after not seeing each other for a long time?" He ask to the person, they jump down from the rock they were sitting, it was a female, she had short black hair, wears a beanie, wears a blue square jacket, grey short, a grey T-shirt, some blue converse and had silver fox ear and tail.

"It is exactly what I would say." The women said smirking at the blond, before she could react she was tackle by the said male, she yelp as she fell down the male following after.

"I miss you!!!! It's been far too long Hika!" He yell, the female tried to push him off her but with no luck she just gave up.

"Right right... now mind letting me go? About to die from suffocation if you keep this up."

The blondette let go and stood up smiling, the female Noiret stood up and dusk away her clothes, her fox ear twitching in annoyance.

"I swear to god... sometimes I believe you're just doing this to piss me off..." She mumble.

"Oh come on Hikari, you know I'll never do that. It's totally not in my nature or anything." He answered back as the fox glare at him before sighing.

"Anyways.... can I ask you to leave the cave... so I could freeze it?"

Oliver look at her with a questioning gaze, he didn't know what she meant by that. The Noiret sigh before scratching her head.

"There's a killer in this cave that I have to.... eliminate... and well.. I don't want to hurt any civilians so I'm going through this maze to find anyone and getting them out... you two are the only one left." She told the fire user.

Oliver mouth open in a shape of an o saying he understood what she meant. The fox sigh, discourage from her friend.

"Well... I'll see you next time..." She muttered before raising her hand and teleport them out.

The fire user and his spirit companion found themselve out of the cave in a blink of an eye. He look back at his spirit before shrugging.

"All we need is to wait for Darren." He said with a smile.

The female fox touch the piece of mic on her ear to communicate with her spirit companion.

"Finish on my side.. how about you?" The female ask.

"Close to... I can see the ex-" the voice got cut off as the Noiret could hear a loud noise on the other side.

"It's been a while Silver!" Yelled a male voice, Hikari knew right away that it was Oliver and she sigh.

"Right... but can you get off? You're suffocating me..." The cyan fox mumble, for a while the female Noiret couldn't hear anything until a loud sigh was heard.

"So here is your partner.. I'm going back to join Hika."

"Why exactly are they knock out..." the voice of Bullet could be hear faintly.

"Had to knock them out... these two idiot couldn't stop going the wrong way or setting off the traps... hell they even got capture by a trap that was very very evident."

There was a long silence before Hikari decided to break it.

"Anyways Silver... everyone out right? I can finally freeze this cave?" There was a long sigh.

"Yes.. this was the most complicated job I've ever had since we started this mess... or whatever it is... you and the target are the only one remaining."

"Great.. so I would suggest bringing the two knock out a bit further away from the cave unless you want them to turn into ice sculpture."

There was complaints on the other hand but Silver agreed and listen. When Hikari knew no one could get hurt, she summon her sword and stab it on the ground, around the sword appeared a magic ritual. The silver fox smirk slightly before putting her left hand on the hilt of the sword, she waited a few minutes before pulling it out of the ground, from that hole, an explosion of ice surrounded the whole cave and freeze anything in their sight. Before it could reaches her, she teleported herself to where her companions were.

Silver was standing with his arms cross as Oliver and Bullet were taking care of the two unconscious people on the floor.

"There is no way you could had knock them out nicely! Look at them! They aren't fucking moving at all!" The fire user yell at the cyan fox. He only shrug his shoulder.

"Don't blame it on me if they are weak like this." He just said not caring at all.

"Hey Darren? Are you alive?" Bullet ask the non magic user. The said male groan in pain as he sit up and rub his head.

"What the hell was that... man that actually hurt as fuck.." He mumble, he look up but can't see anything as it was blurry.

"Crap.. now where are my glasses?..."

"Oh sorry about those, they broke when they fell on the floor after I pick you up." Silver answered the Noiret. Darren groan in defeat.

"Well isn't this my luck... I can't see anything now.."

The silver fox walk toward the non magic user, she knelt in front of him as he look at her.

"Um....hi?"

"Don't move unless you want to be blind forever." Hikari said sternly, the male froze, as the female put her hand over his eyes she also close hers. A few minutes later, Hikari move away as Darren open his eyes still can see anything.

"........" the Noiret had no clue what just happen. Hikari open her palm and created a pair of glasses, she put it on Darren hands as she stood up and walk close to Silver. The non ability user blink before putting on the glasses. His eyes widen.

"Wow I can see even better than my old glasses!" He yell happy.

Bullet flew untop of his hair and stay there. The male just chuckle as he stood up patting his clothes down. He look up as Oliver was still arguing with the cyan fox.

"Did I miss anything?" He muttered asking the fire cat, the said furball shook her head as she nuzzle on his hair. The non ability user sigh and kept looking until the silver fox female hit both of them on the head. The two hold their head and look at the short girl.

"That's enough, we don't have all day fighting like lovers." She said with a piss look on her face. Both the males look at her in disbelief.

"We were not fighting like lovers!" They exclaim toward the female. The female Noiret just shrug her shoulder and ignored them by turning toward Darren.

"Seems you're doing better after Silver knock you out."

"So I was hit on the head..." Darren muttered.

"Ah that's right! Hika I need a favor." Oliver ask facing the woman. Hikari look at the fire user with a raise eyebrow.

"Again?" Oliver just ignored that remark as he took her hands.

"Latinguild has no magic and I was thinking you could help him discover what his ability is with how strong you are."

The female fox sigh and look at the non ability user, her eyes narrow slightly before shaking her head.

"He doesn't need my help. From what I can see, he has amazing ability hidden somewhere in him."

"Really? I know he has fighting experience.. but even that he suck at it."

Hikari sigh.

"I will help him when the time is near, right now there isn't anything I can do if he doesn't want to wake up that ability."

"How am I suppose to do that...?" The male Noiret ask sadly.

"You have to find that on your own Latinguild was it? Oliver should be able to teach you a few move to defend yourself."

"What? But he use a sword, not daggers or even guns." The blondette yelp surprise from what her friend said. Hikari sigh again, rubbing her temple.

"I meant.. a few magic that even he can use.." she muttered tired from all this.

"Ohhh. Alright then."

The silver fox female turn toward Silver.

"We finish our job, about time we leave don't you think?"

"Agreed." The cyan fox said. Both of them were ready to leave before Darren stop them.

"Wait! Where are we even suppose to go now? And you still haven't told me your name."

Hikari smiled and turn her head slightly to his way.

"The name Hikari Sakito and where you would want to go, head toward north, there will be someone there by the name of Kenji who will teach you hand to hand combat if you are worthy to train."

"That name... I must of heard it somewhere..."

"We'll be leaving now, until we meet again hero."

Darren blink and both of the foxes disappeared, the Noiret rub his neck before turning to the still unconscious girl laying on the floor. He sigh before carrying her on his back, Oliver look at him with a frown.

"You'll actually be heading north?" He ask going beside him.

"That is what Sakito said no? I'll take her advice and learn hand to hand combat from this Kenji person."

The Noiret started walking North of the forest as the blondette sigh and look at his spirit companion who still was on the non ability head. He just decided to help him through his travel.

"I'll be coming with you."

Darren smile and nod.

In the meanwhile on a mountain further away from the forest.

Silver look at his summoner who was sitting on the edge of the mountain with a small smile tug on her lips. The male sigh and sat beside her.

"Are you sure that was a good idea to sent them to Kenji? He won't be happy at all about this." He said looking at the scenery. The silver female chuckle slightly.

"I'm sure they'll be fine, I'm more surprise none of them realise that Kenji is known in legend as the last survivor of the shadow clan."

The cyan fox shook his head before.

"Still..."

"Say Silver.... you saw his aura... what do you think?" Hikari cut him off.

"Well... I know he has great potential, but he just doesn't know what to do with it. Oh.. I see so that why you sent him to Kenji... to train him."

"Bingo!"

Silver shook his head and laugh slightly surprise of how far she actually thought of this.

"I can't wait to see how things will go now." He muttered looking at the sky. "Right Beredo?"
