3 Chapter 3: The god, goddess and Darren getting kidnap

Somewhere in the world, the gods of the world all met up to talk about the hero and his allies. There was the god of light Raitokayami, the god of darkness Kurokami, the goddess lightning April, the goddess of nature Ellie and the god of fire KasaiOgon. The god of Ice Beredo wasn't present, he doesn't like any of those meet up to talk about useless stuff. Raitokayami stood up from his seat and look at all the others.

"You must know why we all met up." He said, his hand on the table. Kurokami scoff as he cross his arms.

"Yea why the fuck is the hero so useless, he has no magic, he can't even deal against bullies, he can't even ask what's wrong to his allies. His fucking literally useless." He growl, April glare at the god of darkness.

"Don't be mean Kuro, he may not be like the others heroes, but I'm sure there's something special if Kaichou chose him." She said crossing her arms, Kuro roll his eyes. Ellie was smiling giggling slightly, she was happy just being close to her old friends. Raito shook his head in disapprove.

Suddenly a cold chill could be felt in the room, KasaiOgon was asleep for half the time they arrive, he raised his head to look what was happening and why the room was cold. Kuro turn his head toward the door, the cold was coming from there, the door flew open and there was the god of ice Beredo. The other god and goddess were all shock to see him arrive. He went to sit beside Raito.

"Beredo?...." The god of light ask confuse. The ice user stayed quiet as he close his eyes telling the light user to continue their conversation. Raito raise an eyebrow before shaking his head and turning to the others.

"We all know that the new hero has no magic and can be sometime pretty useless." The light user said before Kuro added something.

"Not sometimes... It's always."

After that comment April hit his head hard, Ellie sigh before turning to the god of fire. Kasai went back to sleeping as he been to busy working he barely had time to sleep, especially because of the one that control his power.

"He already met one of his allies," Raito started turning to the fire user. "a fire user, which mean Kasai ability user was the first ally he has and for that... Kasai you need to keep an eye on them."

The god of fire raise his head as he look at the god of light, he sigh before sitting straight and stretching. He took out a cigar, light it and started to smoke. Ellie who was beside him cough a bit from the smoke.

"Great... More work.." He mumble complaining under his breath. Beredo look at Kasai slightly before turning to Raito.

"Raitokayami, why not just let things go slowly and go on it's pace. Why don't we just intervene when things really get bad." He said, everyone eye widen as they turn toward the ice user, Beredo had a blank look with a small smirk.

"What do you mean? Why should we intervene if it only gets bad?" Ellie ask, tilting her head slightly. Kasai, Kuro and April look at each other.

"You ask your ability user to decide what's the best didn't you." Raito said crossing his arm at the god of ice.

"We talk things through, after all, it's her story, she decide what she want to do. We can't just control what they do, I always felt like we don't ever let the heroes choose what to do but instead control them so the story can continue. If things go wrong, we'll show the way like we always do."

The other gods and goddesses nodded in agreement, the god of light sigh before sitting down. He put the palm of his hand under his chin as he look at every gods there was in the room.

"We all agree that we'll let Darren and his allies choose their path?"

Everyone nodded.

"Ok, but one of us must keep an eye on them, we may see the future because of Chronicle, but that doesn't give us the details. I'll give out the station later. This meeting is at close."

All gods and goddesses left the room except Beredo and Raitokayami. The light user had something to ask the ice user and he felt so. When everyone left, Raito turn to Beredo with a raise eyebrow.

"Tell me Beredo... how can you communicate with your ability user? None of us were able to."

The blue hair man smiled slightly before looking at the ceiling.

"She was the one who were able to communicate with me, I was also shock when I found out, we became closer over time, she was just a little kid when we first talk. It seems that she was a special mortal that could summon high magic, could talk to anything, she saw a book about the god and saw my information. She decided to talk to me since I was her ability. She wanted to know more about me, but that summoning took quite a lot of magic from her, she was out for almost 6 month. Over those six month, I was worried for the first time in years about a mortal, her childhood friend was always in her room hoping she'll one day wake up. When she did it seems she saw the future but she forgot everything about it."

Raito eyes was shock from the small smile that Beredo had.

"Y-you're actually... Smiling."

Beredo chuckle before looking at his old friend.

"She's the reason I'm smiling, over all the mortals there is in the world, she was the first to be interested in me and my story, the first to help me, the first to stay by my side and not wish for another magic."

Raito smiled before nodding, slightly jealous.

"You're lucky Be... I'm not sure who's my ability user... Haven't found him yet." He said before walking out of the room, before he left out of earshot, he could hear a small "You'll find him soon enough Rai... He's a lot closer than you think."

The next day, Darren woke up from his bed, he sat up and stretch feeling refresh. He got off his bed, went to the bathroom to take a shower, after his shower, he went out of the bathroom with only a towel around his waist. What he saw was shocking, Bullet the fire cat of Oliver was just floating on top of his bed smiling. He turn into stone, even if it was an animal, it was still a girl.

"Bullet?... What are you doing in my room?..." He ask being careful that his towel doesn't fall off his waist. The cat float toward him.

"Oli told me to wake you up, but it seems you are already awake also, get ready so we could go buy our stuff." She said before disappearing. Darren stood there for minute confuse before shaking his head, he went to his bag took some clothes and change. After he finish changing, he took his bag, sword and wrap his red bandage on his left hand and went to the kitchen to see Oli trying to make something. The thing exploded.

"Gah!" The blond man exclaim backing away. Darren slowly walk to the pot and what he see was just a black substance that's impossible to identified. The emerald eyed man turn to the other man who was standing behind the table smiling with no shame.

"What were you doing?..." He ask putting the pot in the sink and pouring water on it.

"Well uh... I wanted to make something to eat... But uh... I'm not good."

Darren sigh, he look for another pot, put it on the heater, goes to look for food. When he found some he decided to cook, it's been a while and the apartment started to smell amazing. Oliver was started to get hungry, he was sitting on a chair close to the table with Bullet on it. Darren brought a few plate with amazing looking food, he put it in front of both his allies as he took his seat. They started to eat fast.

"Holy crap! It's been ages since we had amazing food!" Bullet exclaim, Oli nodded in agreement. Darren chuckle slightly, sat down and went to eat. After they finish, the emerald eyed man decided to clean the dishes as the other two went to get prepared. It didn't take long for the non magic user to finish, he wipe his hand on a cloth, went to his room took his bag and walk downstairs where Bullet and Oliver was waiting. They left the hotel, when they walk out they look at their list.

"So we will need to buy a tent, some matches, some warm clothes, bring some food, some utensils for you to cook it and buy a lot of water." The fire user said as he look through the list, Darren nodded, both split up the task and went to buy the material necessary. As he was walking around, he saw a girl, she was a little bit chubby, her hair was light brown that was tied in a small pony tail on her right side. She was wearing a simple pink dress. The emerald eyed man blush slightly, she look amazing. He shook his head and went back to the shopping list.

After a while he found what he was looking for, he went back to the meetup, Oli and Bullet had already arrive and we're talking to each other, as he arrived the two turn and smiled to the young boy.

"Got everything?" The fire ability user ask. Darren nodded his head. The non ability user notice a mark on the fire user neck, he wasn't sure what it was. Darren, worried, walk closer to the blonde and slightly touch his neck. Oliver jolt a bit.

"Wh-what are you doing Latinguilt?!" He yelp moving away from the Noiret. The emerald eyes man tilt his head slightly.

"Sorry... I just... Did someone hurt you? Your have some bruises on your neck." Darren ask, his voice was laced with worried, the blond covered his neck with his left hand, he forgot about those bruises. Oliver had no idea what to answer, thank god Bullet was there to help this stupid man.

"Oh those? He got bit by some bugs last night." The fire cat answered the Noiret question. Darren didn't believe a single word the fire cat just said by still nodded.

"Well... If that is the truth, let's head out before it's get to dark and some monster arrive to eat us." The emerald eyed man said before taking the bags and walking toward the city exit. Oliver and his spirit companion followed the young man.

"Say Latinguild...why are you in this journey?" Oliver ask, walking side by side to Darren, the Noiret look at Oliver slightly.

"It's because... The legend chose... Me..." The Noiret answered, Oliver look confuse before his eyes widen in surprise.

"Ohhhh."

Bullet who was on Darren head the whole walk look at his master confusely. She shook her head. "What an idiot... Darren is the leader.. we have to follow him no matter what even she told us to..." Bullet thought sighing, Darren tilt his head slightly before continuing his walk toward the exit, where a forest reside. When they were near the exit, Bullet felt like someone was following them, she look around holding unto the Noiret hair.

"What's wrong Bullet?" Darren ask looking up slightly, the spirit companion shook her head. The emerald eyed man raise an eyebrow before looking straight ahead and noticing the same girl he saw a whole ago while he was shopping. It seems like she was also headed toward the forest like them, before Darren could stop her, she already ran ahead. Oliver who was just staring off into space snap out of his daze when his comrade sigh.

"Whats wrong Latinguild?" He ask while the Noiret rub his temple.

"Nothing... Just something just pisses me off..." The young Noiret mumble. "Anyway... Let's head towards our next destination..."

Oliver nodded as both started walking into the forest, still Bullet couldn't shake the feeling of someone following them, she kept herself on high alert. The blond man look around the forest, it was dark even thought it was sunny, the trees were hiding any kind of light from penetrate inside.

"Holy shit it's so dark... I can barely see anything at all..." He exclaim, thank god they were still able to see where they are walking. Bullet rolled her eyes.

"Anyway Irigashi.... Don't you have some kind of light we could use?" Darren ask, looking through his bag for a flash light. Oliver think for a minute before something click in his mind, the blond man look at Bullet, the fire cat tilt her head slightly before sighing, she started illuminating.

"This is all I could think of."

"It's better than nothing at all."

Because of the light they were able to see a little further than before, Bullet notice something moving in the shadows.

"Wait there's something..." She said, the two mans look around, Darren had his hand on the handle of his sword while Oliver took out his two dagger and hold them. They kept in high alert, Oliver being a little more experience with battles, sense something behind him, he was barely able to dodge the attacker. They were able to see it was a wolf. A black wolf appears in front of Darren, growling intimidatory, the

Noiret stared at the black wolf. Oliver and Darren were both back to back, there's was way to much wolfs than neccessary. With the sound of a howler, the wolfs started attacking the two mans on both sides. The blond man had his two dagger in both hands, he swing the blade toward their throat and killing them without getting hurt at all. The Noiret on the other hand, had a little more difficulty, he was able to kill a few but got badly injured at the same time. He had a lot more enemy than his comrade had, it seem that those pack were only after him. Oliver look behind him slightly to see if Darren was alright. The blondette look at the Noiret with a questionable gaze.

"Do you need any help there Latinguild?" He ask after killing a few more of those bad wolfs. Darren shook his head slightly.

"I'll be fine Irigashi... Thanks for the request." He answered back slashing a few wolfs on the legs, head, back,etc. but he got weak faster since he use a lot of energy. Oliver notice and tried to run toward the man but some wolfs block his path. The blond growl, he cut the one in the first line but more came back.

"Shit... If I don't do anything...he will die..." The fire ability muttured. No matter how many time he killed wolfs, they always end up coming back,which was starting to annoyed the man. When Oliver look up, he saw a man in a black cloth holding the tired Darren in his arms. The blond, with his quick reflex, took out one of his gun and shot the man, but before it could reach him, he disappears with the Noiret. Oliver started to curse and all the wolfs ran away.

"Fuck! Shit! Goddamn!"

Bullet flew beside her master, she raise an eyebrow, before slightly burning the blondette. The said man yelp in slight pain before looking at the fire cat.

"What the hell was that for?"

"Calm down... You're smart Oli, think where do you believe the man would disappears to?" Bullet said as she flew on top of his head. Oliver blink before thinking, where could a man go to... To feel safe at least... Oli then clap his hands.

"That's right! There's a cave close by! I believe that he could have brought Latinguild there."

Bullet grin and the blondette ran toward the  direction of the cave.
