1 Chapter 1: The beginning of an adventures

Darren Latinguilt was his name, he had short black hair, emerald eyes, pale skin, wears a black shirt, black short, black glasses and black shoes. It's a young man who barely talks and only says a few words when needed. Darren lives in a village far away from any cities, his village is known to known about every legends in the world. There was one specific legends that caught his ears, the legend about a hero from his village going on a journey to save the world from destruction of Wasgrut and anyone who's trying to summoned him from the dead. To him, it was a dream come true to leave his village and see the world, only warriors can leave. Darren knew he wasn't going to be the hero that saves the world since he is the most weakest young man in the village. You can imagine how surprise he was when his name was written on the stone a few days later.

"And it's Darren Latinguilt!" Said the village chief, they could hear a few gasp coming from some of the mans in the village. Darren was the most surprise, he was more expected to have Julien as the hero, his best friend Jacob push him toward the chief smiling. Darren was in disbelief, he was the weakest man in the world yet, he was chosen as the hero? Why did the god choose him out of everyone in the village a lot stronger then him. He's only good at changing people mind easily and have them have trust in him. Other than that, his the most useless person in the world, as he went to stand beside the chief, he could feel the death glare of Julien.

"Darren we congrats you for becoming the new hero. We hope you'll make us proud of you." Said the chief, there was a few that let out a small laugh at that. Darren gave out a small sigh, knowing that they were laughing at how they knew he wasn't one to win anything. After the gathering of the new hero, Darren went home to get ready to leave the village, his parents were so proud of him. While he was preparing his stuff, Jacob enter his room.

"Dude you actually became the hero! That is so amazing! I can't wait to see how things will go from here on out!" He said happily for his friend as Darren smiled slightly.

"I guess..." He mumble as he pack his clothes, his blond best friend made a fake gasp as he took a sass pose.

"Nuh uh girl, you should be more excited, you're finally able to take something from Julien, I can't wait to see how much embarasment he's going to have. The look on his face when your name was written was hilarious!"

"I'm not sure Jacob... I'm pretty sure he'll try to beat me up before I leave the village..."

"Pfft... probably... but I'm sure you can defeat him! After all you are the hero of the world!"

Darren shook his head, happy to have a friend like him.

"I see you are still as cheerful as when we were kids." Darren said turning toward his best friend who was sitting on his bed smiling. Jacob grin and stood up.

"How can I not! My best friend dream is coming true. You are leaving the village and visiting the world as you always wish for. There's no place for sad moments, only place for happiness for you. And no matter where you go, you'll know I'll be with you in every way." Jacob said wrapping his right arm around Darren neck still grinning. Darren laugh.

"Dude! That sounded so gay!"

"You know you want it."

"Of course, wanna get down and dirty?" Darren said while wiggling his eyebrow, Jacob had a serious face looking back at the emerald eyed man.

"How could I refuse. It's pretty much very tempting to." Jacob said. There's was a few minutes of silence before both young man started laughing.

"Ahahahaha. Man I'm so going to miss you Jay." Darren said wiping his eyes, Jacob did the same looking at his best friend.

"Same here bro, try not to die to early, wouldn't want the new hero to already die after just starting his journey." Jacob said smiling.

"Of course, I'm always careful you know that." Jacob smiled.

"Not always but yeah. See you soon Darren, we'll miss you."

Darren nodded as he finally finish packing and went downstairs to see his dad was waiting for him holding a weapon. The emerald boy was in disbelief while walking toward him. His father was holding a sword, Darren tilt his head slightly.

"Here son, this is a present from your mother and I, we are proud of you." He said while heading the sword to the young man, Darren gave a slight smiled and took the sword before putting it beside his waist.

"Thanks dad... but I still think that they got the wrong person... I'm neither strong nor good at magic unlike Julien and Jacob...." Darren mumble. His father look at him before putting his hand on his shoulder.

"You may not be as strong as Julien, nor good at magic like Jacob, but there's something special in you Darren. You may not have realize it but there's something, something only you can find it and when you do, there will be friends there for you to realize."

Darren look at his father with sadness in his eyes, there was no way he could have something that would made him different from anyone, being weak enough was one of them, his mother came out of the kitchen with a smiled on her face, holding a bag full of food, waters, bandages, etc. The emerald eyes man smiled thankfully at her mother, took the bag from her hand and put it in his bagpack. He was ready to head out, to see the world and whatever reason he has to save the world. Jacob came down, the blond man decided to walk his best friend to the village gate to see him off. Both young man walk out of the house and walk toward the exit gate, they were talking about their childhood, when they first met, everything they did together, even the girls they like.

As they arrive at the gate, someone was waiting for them, it was Julien, Darren childhood bullied. Julien was a skillful young man, anyone who tried to battle him always end up with more then just a few bruises. He has straight brown hair, blue eyes and always carries a sword on his back. Jacob groan knowing the brown haired boy is there to beat Darren.

"Good to see you again Losers." Julien said smirking at Darren and Jacob. The other two look at each other then turn back toward the man.

"What do you need Julien? We are kind of busy right now." Jacob ask him, crossing his arms. The man scoff before eyeing Darren.

"I still don't see what the stone chose you Darren... what I see is a worthless weakling who can't even defend himself against a weak monster. The only thing you're good at is making people trust you and changing their mind of others. I can't see anything else."

Darren hand was clench in a fist, he was so tempting to just hit Julien straight in the nose but he's better than that, Darren didn't care what he said. As he walk pass the boy, Julien stop him by putting his hand on his shoulder.

"Hey I'm speaking to you. You can't just ignored me like that." Julien said, Jacob starting to summon a spell, Darren stop him by raising his hand.

"Don't worry Jacob... I can handle this."

The blue eyes man scoff at what he says, pull back his hand and put it on his sword, he was ready to swing, Darren didn't even put his hand on the handle of his sword and just look at Julien like he knew what would happen. Julien swing his sword toward the head of Darren, the young silent man kneeled down dodging the move. His bullied was shock, he stood straight looking at the young man in front of him, sword by his side..

"What? How?"

Darren look at him unimpressed while his best friend was grinning.

"You actually thought the moves you always use on me will work now? I'm getting the hang of it." Darren said sighing at the end. Julien was getting piss, he raise his arm toward Darren. Jacob eyes widen, as for Darren tilt his head.

"Darren watch out! He's going to use magic!" Jacob yelled.

As he did, Darren did a backflip barely dodge the ice that came out of the floor by Julien magic, the brown haired click his tongue before dropping his hand. When Darren stood up to look back at the other man, he disappear, the emerald eyed man look around trying to find the other, his eyes widen and lean down by the back as a sword flew close to his face almost cutting his nose. Darren was close to fall on the floor but he put his hand down and did a flip getting further away from Julien. The blue eyed man started to get annoyed, he was use to Darren to suck at everything he does, but now it seems like the young man in front of him was a lot stronger from the last that he beat him. Julien decided he'll use a forbidden spell of his village, he raise his hand and summon a spell, darkness was covering his hand, Jacob eyes widen, the blond knew that the other is using a spell that is unforgivable in their village.

"Julien! What are you doing? He's going to-" the violet eyed man started before being cut off.

"Shut the fuck up Jacob! Unless you want to die yourself!" Julien said cutting the poor man sentence. The darkness from Julien hand was also surrounding Darren, he fell to his right knee barely able to breath. His right arms was on the floor giving him support. The darkness was getting bigger and darker, hiding the emerald eyed man from the other two.

"Darren!" Jacob yelled. A white light destroyed the darkness surrounding Darren, Julien and Jacob both were surprise as no one knew he could use magic. Darren tried to stand up, his best friend ran and help him up, by the look on his face, the blond knew he didn't do that. There stood in front of Darren and Jacob , a man wearing clothes similar to a knight one, it was white. Julien was shock to see Raitokayami, the god of light, the legend of a god who control light and comes to protect the people who he find ding to protects.

"H-how.... why?! Why protect someone like him!?" Julien yelled at the god of light, as he just look at him with no emotion.

"I can't let you hurt this man, he is important in this mission. Anyone who tried to stop him or kill him has to deal with me and the other gods. If your asking why you were not chosen.... it's because in your heart, it has darkness, a darkness wanted to be the best and kill anyone who tried to steal his place, also you bullied the hero when he was younger." Raitokayami said as he walk toward Julien. The blue eyed man back away slightly trying not to show fear.

"Unless you want to disappear, I request you leave immediately." After he said that, Julien ran away as fast as he could, Jacob and Darren look at each other before turning toward the god of life.

"Why?..." The hero ask, Raitokayami look at Darren with a small smiled, he walk toward him.

"You may think we made a mistake chosen you Darren Latinguilt but we know we didn't, you will have allies on the way of your mission, they won't trust you at first and all of them have a dark past. You are the one who will change their mind and help you along the way, each hero of this village had allies and you are no exception." Raitokayami explain to the puzzle man. Jacob steady the emerald eyed man as he straighting himself.

"But each hero from this village all had something special to them... I don't.." The god of light chuckle as he put a hand on Darren shoulder.

"You'll see and by then you will realize how truly strong you are."

A bright light envelop the three man, Jacob and Darren covered their eyes from the brightness, after it died down, they look to see the god had left. The blond look at his friend puzzle face, he tap his back.

"Come on its time to leave." He said toward his friend, Darren nodded, he started walking out of the gate before turning showing his left arm to show a red bandage on his wrist. Jacob chuckle, shaking his head as he also raises his right arm to show a white bandage on his wrist. It represent their friendship. Darren smiled and left the gates. When the blond couldn't see his best friend anymore, he turn back to see Darren father running toward him.

"Sir?" The blond ask. The man arrive, he had his hand on his knees, tired from running.

"H-he already left?" The man ask the young man, the blond nodded his head.

"Damn... I miss him..."

"Why do you exactly need to see him?"

"I forgot to give him a map..."

Jacob eyes widen, Darren left the village without any map, which mean he'll be lost in the forest and monster will either kill him or eat him. The blond shook his head, he couldn't believe the emerald eyed man left with a map and he usually was the type to alway prepare before going anywhere even if it's just to visit the chief. Darren was already deep into the wood, he look around seeming lost, he put down his bag to look for the map, as he did he realize he didn't bring any.

"Fuck!"
